Dark Mirror Super Sailor Sappho

Honestly, Sappho wasn't even sure why she was there. Sure, she'd participated in gathering energy and giving it to the Mirror ballista, but if she was smart, or even like sort of reasonable, she really ought to have left it there. She wasn't a fighter. Her magic wasn't made for it. All she could do was make people trust her, and maybe that might be useful in the aftermath if anyone got any stupid ideas, but for the most part?

She did not belong here.

And yet, here she was. Steeling her will, and deciding that she needed to show up for her Court. That she needed to try and fight to save her home.

And at least she wouldn't be alone. There were a few of them already gathered, and she let herself move over that way, because....that had to be the best idea, right? Stick with the group? Definitely don't wander off on her own and get into ******** Situations with cute girls (that she hadn't seen for a long while, to be fair.)

And sure, one of them (Arawn) didn't look particularly friendly, but if Sappho just sort of...placed herself on the other side of the group...that probably wasn't a problem, right?

Dark Mirror Super Sailor Ariadne

Ariadne was practically buzzing as she slid up to the group of fellow Dark Mirror Senshi. They'd all worked so hard, put so much energy into the ballista in Mirrorspace, and honestly, she refused to see a version of this where they didn't all walk away.

They were totally going to kill this thing. Or possibly just send it running. Either was a totally viable option. The point was: failure was not. Ariadne usually didn't hold the rest of the universe to the standards she held herself, but in this, there was no question: they would win. they had to, because there had to be a tomorrow to look forward to. The world was simply not allowed to end on a random Saturday in the middle of April.

"Hey, so," she said, confidently, "when we totally beat this thing's a** and send it running for whatever dark corner of the universe it slithered out of, I think we owe ourselves a pizza party in Mirrorspace or something. You know, for helping save the world."

A reasonable ask, she thought. Especially since she'd had to screw with her training schedule for this.

Deep Space Sailor Tianyi

Tianyi needed to be brave.

Deep down, he knew this. Knew that he had to stand and fight. Once upon a time, he had been too afraid to even consider it. Once, he had fled, and fled again, and his world had died because he was weak, a curse, and he refused to let that happen again.

So even if the thought of fighting scared him, even if he stared into the dark, tumultuous sky and felt like he should never have come here (was he truly cursed? Had he brought this doom onto another world? It felt insane to believe, but he'd arrived and this had come so soon after....) he still went. Still found his way to the hilltop, to the coordinates given at the hour requested.

He whispered a prayer under his breath--to the old gods of Tianyi, to the Cauldron, to Cosmos, to the universe itself, to all of the above--that they would come through this. That everyone's hard work would be enough. That they would be able to save this world, even though he had already failed to save his own.

Captain Reidite
Heading over to Aquamarine but stopped to chat with Akaganeite and Ako.

“Dah, do not forget fangs and wings like bat,” Reidite added as he made his way across the field past Akaganeite and the Senshi (Ako) with her. The captain was only a few inches shorter than himself, so he doubted his height would alarm the Senshi like it sometimes did with others.

Reidite smirked with amusement at himself, clearly thinking he was hilarious in his description of his and Akaganeite’s General.

He paused, not to loiter around them too much, but to lean a little closer to Akaganeite.

“If scaring was intention, could have pulled gun,” he shrugged, looking just as amused by the thought.

He also thought about how Misha would likely chide him for not bothering to speak without an accent. But he was feeling lazy, and if he pretended like he might not be completely fluent in English like he was, he could probably get away with pretending that he didn’t understand things.

His expression shifted to something a bit more serious, and lifted his hand to wave dismissively at the concerns. “Aquamarine may be unpleasant as General, but deadly as enemy.” Staying on Aquamarine’s good side by not causing problems or bothering him too much was the best outcome, probably.

Eternal Murikabushi of Hunger
Action: being Softe™ with Elsa, then facilitating introductions.

Of all the possible responses to his attempted vibe check, Murikabushi hadn’t at all expected something quite like that. For a moment, he only managed to stare at Elsa, his eyes soft and expression vulnerable, because……what? That? But? There was only one answer, and Muri was going to say it, he just needed to process everything wrapped up in the question, first.

“Of course I’ll go with you,” he said, his voice equally soft. Gently, he reached over to tuck a loose bit of hair back behind Elsa’s ear. “I mean, I make no promises about Yuki letting me do it immediately, ‘cause……” An affectionate roll of the eyes. A half-hearted shake of the head. “Y’know how Yuki gets about the whole weekly limit on senshi time, confiscating my henshin pen if he thinks I’m overdoing it or doing anything too crazy-reckless……stuff? But—yeah. Whenever you’re ready to go, I’m ready to go with you.”

It was the only answer because what else was Muri supposed to do, when Elsa was choosing to trust him with something so important? Leave Elsa to go alone? Absolutely not. Never in a million years. ******** that noise.

Jumping back into the senshi life on the other side of purifying hadn’t been as easy for Elsa as it had been for Murikabushi, and being fair, there were plenty of reasons for that. More of Muri’s support network had been right there waiting for him on the other side of Ida-himesama doing her thing to get the Mirror Chaos off his starseed. Plus, Elsa’s literal first experience getting back in the saddle after purifying had been going to clear the Chaos off of Fang’s homeworld, and that had been, well. Kind of A Lot (a state of affairs that Murikabushi likely had not helped with the way that he and Grieve had responded to the Chaos-zombie chrysocyon’s hunger-inducing attacks by laughing at them and fighting harder).

Under other circumstances, Murikabushi might have stayed longer in the Soft Moment—but, well.

Aside from the giant electric danger noodle of death who really wanted to get in some d**k-measuring contest with the Earth about whose PhD was bigger, a couple more people came to join the party. Brightening up, Muri seamlessly switched into the more effervescent mode of projecting himself that he liked to use for ushering people to things. Before, when he’d hosted shows at Scandals, it had been his go-to self-presentation mode for when he had a mic in his hand, acts to introduce, bar games to moderate, or dead air to fill while some crisis or other backstage got resolved. But until he could get back on the stage in his heels, he liked to think it worked perfectly well for keeping the atmosphere warm and welcoming.

“Tempesti! Hey, queen,” he started, giving her a wave. “Elsa, Miss Tempesti is a new friend I met through Aruna a little bit before all the lightning storm stuff started. She’s really sweet, and she’s been keeping good investigation notes in the database on our phones while looking into things about the big edgy boi in the sky. And Tempesti, Elsa is a guitarist, activist, chocolate-maker, and longtime friend of mine from before I even Awakened. And if you two want to say your spheres for yourselves, you probably should or I’m liable to do it for you. But—only if you’re okay with sharing, yeah?”

The initial plan was to shut up and let other people talk, but another friend swooped in to join the party. “Daedalus,” Murikabushi picked right back up again, beaming at him. “Please meet Miss Aruna and Miss Tempesti. Aruna’s a friend of mine from work with Kerberos, and Tempesti is a new friend I met through Aruna a little bit before all this Calamitous Hollow stuff started up. They’re fairly new to senshi life, but they’ve both been working their asses off to hone their abilities. Aruna, Tempesti, this is Daedalus. He’s a crackshot engineer, one of my housemates, a friend across two lifetimes, and…he……”

Murikabushi didn’t mean to trail off like that. He really didn’t.

But he gasped softly as he caught a glimpse of the little golden marks on Daedalus’s cheeks and forehead. Looking like gears, they glowed in the telltale way of transcendence markings. Oh, that—“Daedalus, you……” Murikabushi smiled, trying to smother anything other than joy for his friend’s success. “You transcended? That’s amazing.”

Commodore Lyndin

Rhysi’s enthusiasm was not lost on Lyndin, who allowed himself the faintest smile. Perhaps they all needed her optimism. It already seemed to be rubbing off on Daesva, although he wasn’t sure if he could say he was impressed.

He was satisfied, but only because nothing had been granted time to go wrong. Yet.

Yddagen was visible further away, so Lyndin nodded to him; he was acknowledged, and through that, invited to join those who had already gathered nearby. He saw Solaris' salute; he nodded to her as well.

It was good to see Naeria, Itztenoch and Nessaela, Caelyna, Vyn, Lysanna, and Andreiya, even if they were quiet. For a brief second, he caught Oberon’s gaze. He said nothing of it. Instead, he returned to Aliez’s question.

“I can’t recall seeing anything quite like this before,” Lyndin answered, but there was no fear in his voice. Suspecting that he’d only been asked out of a need of reassurance, he continued, “We have no records of encountering any ‘Herald of the Dark Star’ so it’s good to observe what you can while it is here. Hopefully this will be the only time we ever witness such a thing. I’ve set up a few different scanning stations around Destiny City, we’ll be able to collect the data when we get back.”

Lyndin was a proud man, but he was logical. He had extreme confidence in himself and the Vanguard, but not so much that he would have put them in harm’s way if he couldn’t justify the outcome. If he thought there was no hope, he would have prioritized evacuation over defending Earth.

They were still here because he believed they could succeed.

And, maybe, they could find a way to help Velencya, too.

"When this starts, I want you all to be safe, and to look after each other. We'll have a lot of work to do when it's over. Don't be afraid to ask for help if you need it. I want us all to come home safely."

If I forgot anyone, please let me know!!

Transcendant Eternal Sailor Chariklo

The whole End of the World, Probably thing has hit Chariklo like a ton of bricks. She’d seen the storms in the city and had chalked it up to climate change weirdness. She hadn’t been up to her world during one and had simply been living her life. It was kind of embarrassing, but there it was. She’d allowed herself to feel too normal and disconnected and now she was being caught a** out for the apocalypse.

But, she thought, I’m here now and that has to count for something.

It had caused a very near screaming match between her and Angus when they’d both decided that they needed to be there, but neither had wanted the other around. They’d both wanted to fight. In the end, a compromise had been reached when they’d informed Daisy that she would be babysitting and if they didn’t come home, well. She was trying to not think about that.

Squeezing her husband’s hand, she eyed the gathering, lips pulling back into a snarl of distaste as she felt the General Sovereigns presence. But there were other presences as well and she chose to take comfort in those. One, in fact, she caught sight up and allowed herself a grim smile and sharp nod as she passed by her former Prince. But the other… she hunted until she found who she was hunting for and her smile, though a little sad, was also a little brighter.

Making a beeline for the Princess Ida, Chariklo thought back to the unsettling memories of other times she’d seen her friend like this. She could only pray to whoever would listen that this time things would end better.

“Lookin’ gorg, as always babe,” she murmured as she got close. “We really gotta stop meeting at the end of the world like this.”

Xibalba Squire of Mars

Grimly following the literally glowing figure of the senshi of seagulls, Xibalba was doing his best to not think about the twins and all the ways that whatever this was could go wrong. He still didn’t completely understand everything, but was that really necessary when a giant, world-ending snake was coming for a visit? The burly squire thought that maybe, it was better to not have a full comprehension of things. Otherwise, he’d likely start screaming and never stop.

No, he thought, right now it was enough to act as his wife’s silent shadow. And when she squeezed his hand, he returned the gesture, though he didn’t let go after. There was an air of waiting and watching that made him unwilling to let her out of his sight.

Still, he kept back a few paces as she spoke or nodded to people, looking for his own familiar faces.

Super Sailor Namaka

There were times, Namaka thought as she stared, wide-eyed, at the crowd gathering, that she wished none of this magical crap was real. Even so, she’d followed the summons and read up on what she could before her brain tried to shut down in pure protest. She could believe in officers and youma and all the rest. But a giant snake monster was… too much. She couldn’t deny it’s reality though. Not with this mixed crowd.

“Oh, this is bad,” she murmured to the senshi beside her, a fellow former Dark Mirror. “This is so ******** bad.”

Super Sailor Orcus

Coolly letting her gaze slide over the horde of people and aliens, Orcus had to agree with her companion. This was, indeed, very bad. But, they’d agreed to come and do whatever they could. Her eyes lingered for a moment on the tall figure of the Dark Mirror Prince hustling around.

Once, she might have felt a twinge of regret for what she’d left behind. Now, she only felt a gentle sadness that she’d gotten out, but he hadn’t. He’d recruited her into the Court and she’d abandoned them all for her own flesh and blood. Not that she regretted that choice now, but well. She could still feel a little sad over it.

“Well, buck up, buttercup,” she murmured back. “I’m sure it will get worse before it gets better.”

Viatrix

Encke was pulled from his own musing for a moment by an unexpectedly loud aura showing up nearby. He blinked, glancing over to Viatrix, who wasn't even bothering to disguise the fact that she was a Mauvian at all. "Vi-"

"Did you really think I was gonna let the world die without showing up--"

"No, I just didn't expect-"

Viatrix rolled her eyes in that moment, puffing out her cheeks and letting out a long, thin breath of air. "Encke. Do you feel the amount of auras here? Do you think I stand out that much?"

"Well, probably not-"

"Exactly. We have items to deal with that anyway," Viatrix flippantly swatted at the air. "So are we all just standing here?"

Eridu, Page of Cybele &
Ibirapitá, Senshi of Shade

"Does it benefit you to continue to glare at Abzu's back?"

Eridu glanced upward at one of Abzu's alien guests--the first one, the one that evidently started a trend--and shifted their gaze back to Abzu and his cluster of people without saying a word. When they felt Ibirapitá's gaze not shift, Eridu relented. "Not in particular. I just love getting awakened to whatever ******** s**t Abzu is actually part of only to find out the world might be ending. Wasn't it already doing that?" Ibirapita's brow quirked. "Why do I need it in triplicate?"

Ibirapita's sound was nowhere near graceful. "Because these creatures don't care about what problems you already possess. Say, Eridu," he reached for something sight-unseen, retrieving a bottle Eridu had no idea Ibirapitá had, "if we're dying anyway-"

Eridu swiped the bottle from Ibirapitá and disappeared it to their own subspace pocket. ... That was convenient, actually. "If we do live through this, my son will murder me."

"Weren't you going to murder him first?"

"Once he comes back to life, he will figure out how to murder me. Children are always supposed to be better than their parents."

Dumuzi, Page of Pluto &
Richtersveld, Squire of Pluto

"Do you think we can just beat the mysterious snake monster to death?"

Richtersveld sighed gently at her brother, leaning back as she stared at the scene above them. She didn't know who called them. She wasn't sure if anyone did. It still seemed like a force strong enough or at least mysteriously convincing enough to summon everyone from all sides to the table. There were even some of those Velencians and the Dark Mirror.

Her gut still sat uncomfortably with the Vanguard in particular. Did they not know what they did? From the reactions she had watched, it seemed likely. By the same token, her priority always had to be her fellow humans.

... And perhaps other aliens. Life had somehow gotten more complex.

"No, I don't think we can. If it consumes worlds, it's massive."

"Is it really just taking a munch outta worlds, though?" Dumuzi glanced over the crowd. He towered over most of them so it was easy to clock who was there and who wasn't. The few who he didn't tower over earned a fascinated noise, but his sister stopped him from approaching. Rude. "Like you saw that Encke comment, right? How it felt like that electricity was actually trying to consume him or some s**t."

Richtersveld's brow knit. "Perhaps story retelling contains some hyperbole, but that eyeball sounded impossibly large."

Commodore Lyndin was already addressing members of the Vanguard when Cypher arrived. He did little to make his presence known aside from positioning himself near Andreiya. Eternal Senshi Caliban of Sealing

Caliban had been so absorbed in his own thoughts that he hadn't heard Gorner approach. It was only when she laid her hand on his shoulder that he straightened up in surprise, before looking and finding that she was the one who had touched him.

He wasn't sure what to feel. He was happy that she was here, but fearful that something might happen to her. He sighed. "Honestly I'm surprised at the Negaverse. You would think they would be okay with Earth getting destroyed." He said, trying to joke a little.

It fell flat to him. "Something I didn't think was possible. There's more than one planet-destroying monster, and apparently the one on Caliban was just a baby or something." He could feel his hand shaking a bit. ]"At least this one we have some warning and prepared a bit with these shields." He said, nodding towards them. "But this is definitely going to be harder than anything we've faced so far."

Dark Mirror Prince Remarque
Hanging out with DMS Arawn, Laon, Loke, Hekate, Sappho, Persephone, Ariadne, and Lacerta

“Pizza?” Remarque asked, squinting at Ariadne. “You’re going to save the world and you want pizza? That’s so cheap. If you want a pizza party in MIrrorspace, sure. But, I’ll tell you what. When we beat this thing, I’ll treat all of you to whatever meal you want. I know a great steak house. It’s got vegan options, because I know one of you is thinking it.”

His eyes followed Chariklo but he couldn’t find the will to give her a hard time. She left the Dark Mirror Court but at least she looked like she was doing well for herself. They’d have to catch up one of these days. She did all the hard work of purifying and hadn’t even taken him up to her homeworld? What a waste.

He could see Laon doing his best to give the impression that he was comfortable, no doubt to keep Arawn from picking up on his nerves and lashing out. They were pressed close against each other, and Laon held Arawn’s hand tightly. Despite Arawn’s outward appearance, Remarque could see that he was doing his best to appear civil, even if that smile looked like a snarl. Well, it was progress. At least he was trying. Sappho was probably wise to keep a bit of distance, just in case.

He’d approached Loke and this seemed like as good a place as any for them to gather as they prepared to go into this fight.

“In any case, Hekate, it’s no intrusion. I’m glad to have you here. Persephone, Lacerta, thank you for those offers. I don’t know if the rest of you want to try and pair up to see if you’ve got complimentary magic or if we should all stay together, but you’re more than welcome to stick close. If things go south, come find me. I can open a mirror to get you back into Mirrorspace, so you need to tap out, I’ve got you covered.”

Sailor Byakko Senshi of the West (basic): Journal
Super Sailor Tea Senshi of Mice : Journal

Byakko sighed as she walked with Tea into the field. "I really don't like this 'end of the world as we know it stuff'." She said looking over to Tea, "See anyone you know?" The senshi of the west was already exhausted worrying over what was going to happen, their family had already been torn apart and now there was this whole snake thing. She wished that things hadn't happened like this.

Tea was trying to keep a bit of a brighter outlook hoping that they wouldn't have to deal with the loss of a whole world. And well... if they didn't win, oops. The senshi sighed though at her sister's negativity. "I'm sure something good will come of this. Maybe the whole family will end up back together." She said chipperly.

She was scanning the area around them looking to see who was there, 'Ah, I see Coco!" She said nudging herself and moving over towards the cat, "Lets go check on her." She was already headed towards the cat not minding if her sister followed her or not. "Coco!"

General Queen Hessonite

Though Hessonite was busy taking pictures of her own, she never lowered her guard. Of course she was aware when Brassite moved closer. She felt the camera on her.

So Hessonite posed. She gave Brassite her best angles. She knew what looked good and she was ready to show off.

Hessonite gave her pictures worth taking, because this was going to be a night worth remembering.

Eternal Corrupt Beatrix of the Dullahan

While the idea of working with order gave her the deepest level of ick she'd felt in a long time, she wanted to make sure that she did whatever Metallia, Laurelite, and Hessonite wanted her to do. She let Meissa know of what was going on, not that she'd had much information on things because that required her to read and pay attention to reports.

With direct orders from the Queens, she powered up and made her way over, and casually glanced over the assembled GKs with a look of disgust. Only Hessonite received an excited little smile from the gloomy and all too ready to crack order skulls Beatrix as she waved.

"General Queen Hessonite! Let's show these lame a** white mooners how it's really done." Pulling her mask down to speak, she wanted to keep the good opinion they had of her since bringing Meissa in going. She was ready to go, whatever the queens asked of her, as long as she could sneak in some pot shots at that princess of orchids and the flowery knights that were under her.
