~ General Procedure~
How can I get one?:
You can obtain a leaf through flatsales, auctions and contests, but there might be a few other ways to do so. Oh, and before you ask: no, you can't have one for free.
Am I allowed to sell my child ?:
NO ! NEVER ! Think about what that would do to their mental health! How would you like it if your parents sold you?
Are we allowed to co-own ?
Yes, but there always has to be one person who is most responsible and is noted down as main caretaker if the other person vanishes. Only two people can own one Eden, but you should make sure who of you roleplays the Eden mainly. It can be very difficult to rp in the same style.
Do you do Pet Trades?:
We consider Pet Trades on a case by case basis. We trade against other high-quality high-demand RP-required children, and only if we like them. Our artists are quite busy with regular growings, and it is not always easy to slip a custom in between them, so if you are turned down don't feel bad!
What if I don't want my Eden anymore ?
Then you are free to give it to somebody else who is able to take care of it, but you have to inform the staff about it. You may also decide that your child should die or become an NPC or shall be given away by contest. For this we have created a thread in the guild, so you can express your wishes if you will vanish.
Are we allowed to pick an extinct or mythological animal/plant?
Yes. No.
Extinct animals are fine, because they all existed in Eden at some time or another.
Mythological animals aren't available through flatsales or custom auctions of any kind. I'm not even sure if we ever want to have them. Perhaps their might be a special event one day, but until then you should forget about this option.
Am I allowed to pick a snake Eden?
Of course. You also may pick an apple Eden, it doesn't involve the metaplot. Still you're not allowed to make up plants like 'the forbidden fruit'. This would make the Eden far too special and far to god-like. We don't want to make fun about the bible, not at all. So please, don't even try.
I'm on hiatus and can't take care of my Eden. What to do?
First of all, pm the mule. We need to know that you're on hiatus and how long. You're able to give your child to a babysitter or co-owner until you return so it's still rped. Please inform us. If we don't hear from you for more than a year, your child will probably become an NPC or be rehomed as according to your will..
How many Edens are we allowed to own ?
One with very few exceptions. I'm sorry, but right now there are quite a few people who wish for Edens and it would be unfair if some people had three and others wouldn't have a chance at all. There might be exceptions in future, but until now one Eden is totally enough for everyone. The only way you would be able to have more than one is if someone were to will you an Eden while you were already the guardian of one.
Can we buy a custom?
Not always. In general customs are quite expensive and it depends on the artist's schedule. If there are a lot of flatsale babies and growths waiting it won't be likely that we allow a custom. The autobuy is an October 2003 item or more. 3nodding

Don't worry, as you might have noticed we have two cat Edens. There is always a male and a female one of any species available, but not more.
Does every rp change the looks of my child ?
Indeed. If your child lost a tooth throughout rp you will have to take into consideration that this might appear on the next stage's picture. Look at the growth form : You're able to tell me about important changes.
Does my Eden have to be heterosexual ?
No, indeed not. Everything possible is allowed :3
I sent my growth form in *weeks* ago! What's taking so long?
Please keep in mind that artists are people, too, and as much as they would love to sit in a dark room and draw Eden children all day, they usually have classes to attend or jobs to go to or homework to do in addition to filling growth requests. Please don't hound the staff about slow growths, they have lives just like you do.
~ About the Edens ~
Do they have any special powers ?:
If you're talking about magic I have to say no. But actually every child has features belonging to it's old appearance, which you could call powers. A bear child would have great strength, while a cat one would probably able to see in the dark.
Do they know about their past lives ?:
No, not directly. There may be dreams and events, which remind them of something known, but actually they don't know that they lived in Paradise. The Edens need to discover themselves during growth and metaplot quests in Eden.
What is 'Eden' ?:
It seems to be that Eden was a great garden were all the animals and plants we know on earth lived before they are brought to earth and afterwards.
Do the animals/plants in Eden look like humans ?:
The Edens themselves seem to look differently. When Tyyne and Teagan went to Eden Tyyne looked more like a flower, but was still able to walk and talk like a human. Teagan instead looked pretty much like a lemur. It's different for everyone.
Will they be able to breed ?:
Yes, look at the breeding post.
Just wondering... how long does it take for the Eden's to grow?
It depends actually. The first stages like the leaf and the planted one grow pretty quick. The other stages will stay for AT LEAST a month, because you need enough time to roleplay and so on. The more you roleplay and show activity, the faster will your child grow
Can they die if we don't RP?
Once your eden is planted or has grown into its human form, no, they cannot die from inactivity. However, recently it has been discovered that leaves that go too long without being interacted with or planted will "wilt" and their souls will return to the tree and become available again. [[OOC explanation: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't make us do this. We will ONLY wilt a leaf if the owner asks us to or if the owner has not RPed in over a year/been seen on Gaia for over six months/ has given indication that they have left for good. It is NOT reversible and should you have a leaf wilted you will NOT be able to get another Eden or get yours back.]]

Are the Edens' souls pre-determined ?
No, you decide for which one you'd like to get. The only time the soul is pre-determined is if there is a special event.
Can we choose our Eden's gender ?
Yes, always, except for the same exception as in the previous answer.
Does my Eden have to be like I rp him/her in the prompt ?
No, the personality can be different, but the soul has to be the same because I'll use your references and send the form to the artist then. If your Eden would never behave like that, but you love the prompt it's fine, but you should probably tell me if you should win ^^
Are we allowed to show our entry to other persons?
Sure, but the writing should be done by you. We're looking for your own skills and not the ones of your friends.
Am I able to define my Eden's looks ?
In general, yes. You will be able to describe it of course, but the artist has the say in the final version. You may give hints, but in the end it's the artist's decision if you don't have a custom.
How long may my entry be ?
There's no word limit, but please remember that texts which are overly long will have a bad effect on the reader. Stay with a decent amount of words and do just as it suits you best
How do you judge the entries ?
The judges and I get into our judging suits and will read every entry separately. We will look for good grammar, creativity, character development, writing flow/skills, etc. It depends on the contest and flatsale type. Then we lock ourselves in a chat room and fight to the death. Usually, this results in a fair and timely outcome
Does it matter in which point of view I write my entry ? Will we get judged harder if we pick a certain way ?
Please, please, please, please, please write your entries in third person past tense.
Can we add other breedables to our prompt ?
Sure, they'll have to interact with them afterwards so it's just logical. But you have to focus on the Eden !
Can we give the Edens attributes of their souls, like a snake is cold blooded ?
Of course, it's even appreciated. You don't decide on the looks but on the personality. That's an important factor, you should develop it !
