Hana means "flower" in japanese, and Cho means "butterfly" in the same language. Wren is so creative, isn't he ?

____{ Personality }
Hana is Wren's little princess, and it shows. While she is no longer prone to loud temper tanterums, she still rather dislikes not getting her way and can have quite the mean streak, or give you the sillent treatment, depending. However, she is usually quick to cool down after given some time alone to think. She is slowly starting to understand that she can't always get what she wants.

All that aside, Hana is a very sweet, active child with a wild imagination and a love for learning new things. She can be rather loud and inquisive sometimes, and doesn't seem to know when to stop asking questions. She's pretty loud, and outgoing with other kids - around adults she tends to be quieter. She is also slowly growing to be more independant and she no longer clings to Wren as much as she used to.

____{ Physical Attributes }
Her hairs are long, thick, and mostly left loose, with the ends put in braids. She's a tad smaller and much lighter than most children her age are, and already seems to be quite the little fashion girl. She loves accesories, jewelry, and overall looking good.

____{ N a m e }

Much like Zero, Wren's name is not the one he was first given. In his home world, his name was Shirren - he changed his name for about the same reason than his sister, wanting to find a new start. The reason he chose Stardrifter as a middle name is unknown. His family name is Hazuki, which she's taken from her "father".

____{ Basic Information }
date of birth» April 8. The year is an hazzy subject because of the differences in between his home world and Gaia.
age» Physically, he looks somewhere in his late teens. If you go by the time he's spent active, around 6 years or so. 2 of those years where on Gaia.
race» Cyborg - originally a sentient robot.

neutral» Winter
dislikes» Thinking about his past, Drastic heat, being completely alone, seeing Zero sad or upset, being on the recieving end of her sarcastic edge
Abilities» He has a better night-vision than your average human, and is a bit stronger than you would expect him to be given his built
favorite animals» He doesn't really have one. Is kind of developping a fondness for dogs.
favorite colors» Blue, teal, black
favorite foods» Chicken soup, pizza with truckloads of cheese on it, rare steak
favorite music» Hard rock
essentially» The little brother

____{ Personality }
Wren, to any onlooker, could be considered your typical young adult. Happy, on his own, and sometimes partying a little too much for his os to hide from the rest of the world. He is forever guilted by the many people he has unwillingly killed, mixed by the pain of the loss of the man he considered his father, and of all the pain this resulted to his sister, whom he loves dearly. He lives on, but he isn't sure why - some days even wondering why he is not dead. Zero was initially the only reason that he took his life back and started to order it, but he's finding more and more reasons to hold on every day, and he wishes to make up for all the pain he's caused, even if it was a different time and a different world. He keeps his shame burried inside himself and tends to pretend everything has always been allright, even if he is genuinely a very happy and outgoing person. He simpely has wounds that he want to cover at all cost.

...But most of all, he's a goof and a wiseass. His mind tends to wander quite a bit, but nothing strong enough to be called a disorder. He's just a big, loveable goof that usually can't stay serious for too long unless some kind of threat of impending doom is thrown on him.

____{ Physical Attributes }
Wren is pretty much average in all ways, much like his sister. He's 5'6", and has your typical scrawny nerd built, much to his own chagrin. He mostly wear causual clothing like a t-shirt and jeans. His hairs are short, spiked, and dyed teal at the tips. Wren's tattoos are what really sets him appart - he has a serie of tribal-like lines that run though most of the left side of his body, face included. If one was to look from close enough, they would see that they actually cover up scars. Wren actually has no external ears, and the circuits that allow her to hear are covered in round metal plates (think the go-phones, but without the thing linking the two parts together)

While not as menacing or imposing as his sister, he does have a bow with beam arrows that he'll be more than happy to snipe you with from the nearby roof if you piss him off too much. Didn't no one tell you to watch for the quiet ones ?

____{ Some Backstory }
Like many people, Wren was not actually born in Gaia. He was born in Xirian - a world where magic was replaced by technology and machines. He was the second and last "child" of Takashi Hazuki - a robot that could think and feel on his own with no outside interference. The only other like him was his own prototype, Zero herself. Unlike her, Wren had very little interest in proving his worth to a world who hated him from the get-go, and only followed his sister so he would be there if she got hurt.

His tendency to blow people off did not really do well for him, and it wouldn't be long before he was targetted. Exploiting a flaw that was present in him and not in his sister, he was infected by a computer virus shortly before Takashi was murdered. In fact, Wren only realized that his father was there after Zero had basically beaten him back to awareness... after a days-long battle that left both sibilings scarred, in more ways than one. Zero then left him, unsure if he was alive or dead - Wren recovered, and sought vengance. In the end, he never got it, and in turn fled as well. He found Zero easily enough, and watched over her, unsure if she hated him or not. One day, she caught him, and it was proven that their bond was stronger than ever in despice it all.

And now, much like Zero, he is rebuilding his life - becoming the person he always had the potential to be in the process.

The aunt^2~
Zero used to be a reploid - a type of sentient robot - but she is now a cyborg due to a series of odd events. She's Wren's voice of reason, and is more than willing to knock some sence into him if that's what he needs.

Uno is Zero's doppleganger - once named after her brother, Wren, she assumed her own identity once her power reached an high enough level to reflect Zero completely. Uno lives with Zero and passes for her twin if anyone asks, and is considered as a second guardian to the children in the house.

The other children~
Sei is one of Zero's earliest adoptees - a fa'e child, one born from actual parents - a relatively rare thing for their race, as they tend to pop out of nowhere. Nonetheless, Sei cannot live with his mother due to his nature as a fa'e, and needs his bond to Zero to stay alive. Both Ronen and Aylen gets on well enough with the fa'e, but Aylen in particular seems to be able to crack his shell like no other...

Ronen is a child that came from another world - a dying world. He was believed to be the last of his species for a while, but it now seems that it is not the case as dinosaur twins crossed over. Ronen is calm and gentle, but growing a bit distant as he moved out to start college.

Aylen comes from the same world as Ronen. She is a phoenix that used to be priestess in training before she accidentally burnt to ash and was unable to trigger her own rebirth, causing her parents to panic and send her over. She is more mature than her age lets on and is a good source of advice and help... Unless her explosive temper is rilled.

Wren and Hana have their own little house built to the back of the huge propriety Zero owns (though her friend, Adrian). It it only one story and only has an handful of rooms, but it fits them both fine.

Thanksfully one was empty, and was remade to be Hana's room once her presence was confirmed - and it was also convinently right next to Wren's.

[01 - 06]A rather cute set of dolls that Wren brought quickly after figuring out that the leaf was more that just that - visibly deadset that the child would be a girl. He was quite obviously right, and Zero still wonder how the hell he guessed to this day.

The Monarch butterfly (Danaus plexippus) is a well-known North American butterfly. Since the 19th century, it is also found in Australia and New Zealand where it is also known as the Wanderer Butterfly. In Europe it is resident in the Canary Islands (except Lanzarote) and Madeira, and is found as a migrant in the Azores, Portugal and Spain. Its wings feature an easily recognisable orange and black pattern, with a wingspan of 8.5-12.5 cm. The females have darker veins on their wings, and the males have a spot in the center of each hindwing from which pheromones are released.

Migration
Monarchs are especially noted for their lengthy annual migration. They make massive southward migrations from August through October. A northward migration takes place in the spring. Female Monarchs deposit eggs for the next generation during these migrations. The population east of the Rocky Mountains overwinters in the sanctuary in Angangueo, Michoacán, Mexico, and the western population overwinters in various sites in central coastal California, United States, notably in Pacific Grove and Santa Cruz. The length of these journeys far exceeds the lifetime of most Monarchs, which is less than two months for butterflies born in early summer. The last generation of the summer lives up to 7 months, during which it flies to the overwinter location. This generation does not reproduce until it leaves the overwinter location the following spring, but it is actually this generation's children and great-grandchildren that return to their northern location in the spring. How the species manages to return to the same overwintering spots over a gap of several generations is still a subject of research; the flight patterns are inherited, based on a combination of circadian rhythm and the position of the sun on the sky.

A recent study suggests that butterflies have special ultraviolet photoreceptors that provide them with a sense of direction. This is one of the few insects to manage transatlantic crossings. Once very common in Bermuda, they are becoming endangered due to the loss of milkweed, eradicated as a weed. A few Monarchs turn up in the far southwest of Great Britain in years when the wind conditions are right. Monarchs can also be found in New Zealand during summer, but are absent the rest of the year.

On the island of Hawaii no migrations have been noted. Monarchs can live a life of six to eight weeks in a garden having their host asclepias plants and sufficient flowers for nectar. This is especially true if the flower garden happens to be surrounded by native forest that seems to be lacking in flowers.

Metamorphosis
The life cycle of a Monarch includes a change of form called complete metamorphosis. The Monarch goes through four radically different stages:

1. The eggs are laid by the females during spring and summer breeding months.
2. The eggs hatch, revealing worm-like larva, the caterpillars. The caterpillars consume their egg cases, then feed on milkweed, and sequester substances called cardenolides, related to the cardiac glycoside digitalis. During the caterpillar stage, Monarchs store energy in the form of fat and nutrients to carry them through the non-feeding pupa stage.
3. In the pupa or chrysalis stage, the caterpillar spins a silk pad on a twig, leaf, etc. and hangs from this pad by its last pair of prolegs. It hangs upside down in the shape of a 'J', and then molts, leaving itself encased in an articulated green exoskeleton. At this point, hormonal changes occur, leading to the development of a butterfly.
4. The mature butterfly emerges after about two weeks and feeds on a variety of flowers, including milkweed flowers, red clover, and goldenrod.

Reprodiuction
The mating period for the overwinter population occurs in the spring, just prior to migration from the overwintering sites. The courtship is fairly simple and less dependent on chemical pheromones in comparison with other species in its genus. Courtship is composed of two distinct stages, the aerial phase and the ground phase. During the aerial phase, the male pursues, nudges, and eventually takes down the female. Copulation occurs during the ground phase and involves the transfer of a spermatophore from the male to female. Along with sperm, the spermatophore is thought to provide the female with energy resources that aid her in carrying out reproduction and remigration. The overwinter population returns only as far north as they need to go to find the early milkweed growth; in the case of the eastern butterflies that is commonly southern Texas.

Once they reach their breeding grounds, the females lay their eggs on milkweed host plants. The egg and larval period is temperature dependent and lasts about 2 weeks. At the end of this period, the larva enter a period of pupation as a chrysalis for 9 to 15 days, after which an adult butterfly emerges to continue the next step of the annual migration. On some remote islands, the monarch never migrates but remains in the garden where it was "born".

Defence against predators
Monarchs are foul-tasting and poisonous due to the presence of cardenolides in their bodies, which the caterpillars ingest as they feed on milkweed. Both forms advertise their unpalatability with bright colors and areas of high contrast on the skin or wings. This phenomenon is known as aposematism.

Monarchs share this defense with the even more unpleasant-tasting and similar-appearing Viceroy butterfly, in an example of Müllerian mimicry. (Viceroys were at one time believed to be Batesian mimics of Monarchs.)

Popularity
The Monarch is the state insect of Alabama, Idaho, Illinois, and Texas, and the state butterfly of Minnesota and West Virginia. It was nominated in 1989 as the national insect of the United States, and is the national insect of Canada. The Monarch's name and color were also the inspiration for the name and home strip of the Michoacán-based CA Monarcas Morelia professional football team.

Many people like to attract Monarchs by making a butterfly garden, and other people like to raise them for pleasure or for educational purposes.

Treats
Recent illegal deforestation of the Monarch's overwintering grounds have led to a drastic reduction in the butterfly's population. Efforts to classify it as a protected species and to restore its habitat are under way. Mexican authorities expected a significant increase in the Monarch population in the 2005-2006 season.

Monarch butterflies are susceptible to Ophryocystis elektroscirrha, a protist which parasitizes them. It is present on the abdomen of adult butterflies and passed to their offspring when the spores rub off during egg-laying and are then ingested by the caterpillars. The effects of the parasite on Monarchs include decreased weight, shortened lifespan, weakened wings, rapid weightloss, or inability to close, though this varies between butterfly populations and parasite strains.
