Why Ginseng? :: I'm not sure. I wanted something Korean, because... well, JD is too, and very rarely do I get to touch base with my culture for gaia BnC slots. It was a concept flat sale, and I wanted a plant or animal no one had thought up of first, something that was broad enough that I had freedom to create, but with some... well, suggestions.
Ginseng literally popped into my mind. It was something with certain mystical qualities... frankly, I wanted a boy who wasn't strong and vulgar, fierce or loud. I wanted a noble... well, sometimes slightly sissy soul, delicate and proud. The complete opposite of what JD would want in a kid. XD it all fit.
Facts on Ginseng ::
- Ginseng does actually lookin like a human body, with a torso, arms and legs and a little bit that extends as a neck. Freaky.
- It is extremely hard to cultivate. A plot of land that is used has to have a fifteen year break between each cultivation, it takes at least six for ginseng to be ready to be harvested. Careful, controlling, a bit difficult to deal with. It sounded like a relationship.
- It is extrmely good for you. Don't ask how, I don't remember. Look at the link below. But heart rate, blood pressure, immune systems... and the like. In a boy, I want to see this transferred in an eager, helpful manner. Someone who wants to cure everything, and even though they can't (not completely), they still try.
- It's been used for over two thousand years, but it's not regarded as a real curing medicine. Chinese herbs at its best, I suppose!

He's probably a bit more soft looking than I deserve. What am I supposed to teach a boy who is nothing like Narayan? but we'll figure it out. A good looking bugger though... must be in the genes.

Age Late twenties early thirties.
Gender Male
Appearance Tall, on the slender side and asian in built and in features, JD isn't handsome. But he can still be considered good to look at. With tanned skin, sharp shoulders and enough length that alone, he can look taller than the average man, what clothes he wears always appears to be one step from being shrugged off. The shirt with the a button or two unbuttoned, the tie that is worn just slightly crooked. It explains him, really.
Dark brown hair that is worn just a smidgen too long, it stops at his neck and at his ears. A face more suited for a feline with slanted dark brown eyes, a smirk and a straight nose that hasn't seen a trace of violence in much too long, he looks like a rich, pampered boy. Which he is.
JD's taste in clothing is expensive. Actually, everything is. Coming from a family where money has never been the issue, he enjoys pampering himself. His skin, his hair, his nails... so it's all in place.
Kind of annoying, really.
Personality JD could be your stereotypical old fashioned tight laced dangerous and just slightly bad boy blooded rich guy. Except now he has an elephant for a son, a boyfriend he's trying to patch things up with and a strong suspicion that somewhere, out where, a girl with kitsune ears is laughing at him from behing a computer screen.
So all is not well, I'm afraid.

JD :: Father. So the person to obey, look up to and take care of when he reaches his old and ornery age. Just... don't tell the man that he thinks that way, since it's not very nice.
NARAYAN :: Older brother, they're surprisingly close in the 'we have nothing in common except for 'blood'' kind of way. Perverted and very, very mischievous, he's something of a rare oddity in Won Je's mind. Someone he respects and admires very much, but doesn't want to be like.

They live in a simple Korean house with several rooms, and towards the center. Think of it as a mansion, asian style? Occupying four small structures with several gardens, Won Je has a room of his own that is connected to his brothers, but not to JD's. With the largest 'garden', he lives with his three aunts as well as their respective families, but rarely visits them. He's shy.
