code of conduct For now, one and only one rule--please don't post here. Not even to drop off gifts, not even to initiate RP. Unless you're the EP mule or one of the EP staff with a quest or growth form, let's just handle anything concerning Kaikai via PMs. This'll be subject to revision, but for now, I'd like to keep this a workspace for me alone.

... it appears to be a leaf. A creepy, slightly possessed leaf that flits about under its own power. I'd considered pressing it, but Albedo started acting strange around it--the same kind of strange he acts about unhatched totems, which probably means it's...important, somehow. So I put it in a glass of water in the kitchen with good light, and I suppose we'll do some reading to find out what it might really be... This pot showed up on our front door while I was out taking the leaf for a walk (it works for babies, right?) and it had a note with it that we should plant the leaf in the included soil...and that it would grow eventually into a child, much as we'd thought! So without further ado we planted the leaf, and now it's a matter of waiting--and apparently finding out what the leaf likes. So far we've discovered (by accident) that it likes pickle juice...or maybe just salt water, and it seems to appreciate the chunks of coral we added to make the pot a little more colorful. Albedo keeps going on about oceans and tides and fish, so for now, I've decided to name our leaf Kaimana--I'm assuming it's a she, though I'm not positively certain on that count...

Name: "Coronaviridae", real name forgotten. AKA: Cee, Cee Virus, Ceevee... Age: Mid-thirties at time of death. Sex: Female. Species: Dead human. Hair: Gray. Eyes: Red, previously gray. Marital Status: Single, unmarried. Profession: Op-ed writer, LARP hostess, freelancing bioengineer (though she's avoiding the last right now for her own reasons). Sexuality: Heteroflexible, though Albedo is convinced she's a lesbian. Likes: Herbal tea, rice cakes, cheddar cheese, her kids, Jenner (some days), Jenner's kids (some days), people playing with her hair, feathers, house plants. Dislikes: Being snuck up on, the sound of slamming doors, being lazy (even though she is), sore throats, really bright sunlight, bleu cheese, mold, Jenner (some days), Jenner's kids (some days), dogs (except Paki), most people. Hobbies: LARP, writing, doodling, screwing around on the internet, cooking. Quirks: Caffeine makes her sleepy. She's also a zombie. Fortunately not the kind that craves brains, though given her grunny origins, she has been known to go for a nice plate of wheatgrass. History in a Nutshell:Personality in a Nutshell:Family: Jenner Preston (blood-bound faceless demon), Nexeu & Ambrus Preston (sons by Jenner), Samaridi Meade (externally manifesting alternate personality), Gray Preston (e.m.a.p.), Anaximander Leo Cohen (Sam's ex-fiance). But how is she in bed? She's...dead. I'm pretty sure that's illegal in some parts of Gaia.

&. childrenAlbedo: Imprinted (sort-of by accident) on Cee's favorite video game character, Albedo is the first of her Mozou and easily the scariest. He reigns as undisputed master of most of the residents of the Old House, in large part because NOBODY wants to tangle with a fella who looks like he's about to commit fratricide at the drop of a hat. He must have some species of affection for the rest of his ragtag little family, though--as he hasn't really killed anyone yet. As much as he'd like to believe he's a hateful beast at heart, Albedo does honestly look out for everyone else in the Old House...albeit in his own, broken way.
Most of Cee's other children are absolutely terrified of him, and he seems to consider them as annoyances when he considers them at all. In lieu of his influence's twin brother, he's adopted a sort of love-hate relationship with Cee--always the first with an insult or a jibe, and always the first to threaten to rip someone's throat out if they attempt to muscle in on his "territory". Despite having nearly eaten Chang-E when they were both very young, Albedo has developed a working relationship with the mutant Nightmare. He and Entropy get along like a house on fire, which--given their mutual predilection for destruction--is probably more literal than is strictly comfortable.
Albedo is on-and-off courting another Mozou, the princess Ai, much to the dismay of Mutatis Mutandis, who is unhealthily attached to his older "brother". In turn, Albedo completely ignores Mutamuta in hopes that he'll go away and find someone else, though that might just be his way of dealing with a problem he'd rather not confront.
Albedo is drawn to innocence and the innocent; he is fiercely protective of the youngest of Cee's children and will not suffer to see them harmed or molested in any way. As he has most of his influence's supernatural abilities as well, he makes an excellent watch-Mozou.Entropy: The chronological eldest of Cee's children, Entropy usually acts it, too--he's always been oddly wise for his age, though that might be a product of his own self-assurance. None of the other residents of the Old House have ever heard the Little Monster raise his voice above a whisper; he usually speaks so quietly that you need to be right up next to him to catch everything he's saying. Not even Cee is sure if this is a deliberate choice on his part or just the way he was made.
For the most part, Entropy keeps to himself. It's not that he avoids the other residents of the Old House, or actively hides away; he's just so quiet and so self-contained that most of his siblings just don't realize he's in the room with them. What they do notice, though, are the things he builds--and the things he takes apart. Entropy has an uncanny knack for knowing precisely how things are stitched together, and just which strings--metaphorical or literal--to pull to make them fall apart. His mechanical genius, on the other hand, is something he's learned by putting together the remains of things he's broken. Not the way they used to be, but the way they "should" be; Entropy's kinetic inventions give some fascinating insight to the way his mind works. It has been recently discovered that he's a true taraximancer, in the original and expanded sense--he understands, manipulates, and can predict the future from chaos or disorder.
In temperament, Entropy's as feline as he looks--neat, precise, not really arrogant so much as completely assured of his own infallibility. Sure, he's made mistakes in the past, but he's learned from them and moved on. Despite his aloof behavior, he's on good terms with all the other residents of the Old House, though it's Albedo and Chang-E that really bring out the Little Monster's true enthusiasm for life. He's been known to tease Solanum, and gets as close as he gets to annoyed with a lot of the permanently childlike Mozou, but on the whole he's probably the least disruptive of Cee's children.
Which is why everyone should be very, very worried.Mutatis Mutandis:Solanum:&. companionsAureole:Black Elisabeth:Chang-E:Chevron:Frond:Kismet & Karma:Kulich:Lalala:Myristica:Noumenon:Overdue:Paint:Pattern:Proxility:Seraph:Sparkler:Sprog:Zingiber:&. petsAdaglos:chaos:Hasta:Paki:Phalen:Pipio:Nephilim:Nuts:Shinylump:Sparta:Spot:Wilhelm:
