The Mistress K
I have a couple of BFing questions my dear ladies...
1. I have been trying to pump enough to be able to work and have my little one eat while im away. for awhile I was good and now, she seems to want to eat more in one sitting so Im falling behind. Is there any good advise or tips and tricks that worked for and of you to keep up an all breast milk diet?
Mother's Milk Tea, Fenugreek, Oatmeal, Lactation cookies (Google for recipes there are several out there), drinking LOTS of water, try to relax as much as possible, pumping first thing in the morning usually has the most amount, pumping even after nothing comes out anymore will signal your body to make more, the BEST thing to do is nurse your baby as much as possible when you are together (Yes, even at night!) because the baby will increase your supply bette than a pump ever will.

Also, look into donor milk. Check out your local chapter of Eats On Feets and/or Human Milk for Human Babies. I donate milk to a mother through HM4HB myself. It's free and better for them. Most moms don't want anything in return, some may ask you to buy the bags for them to store milk in, but it will be cheaper and healthier for her than formula still.

2.I know most of you are open minded and hope that none of you judge me too harshly when i ask, and the reason I want your guys opition is cause you all seem to hear see and know more than a random google search. Do you think a single night of taking like 4-6 hits on some green would harm my little one since Im breastfeeding? I havent smoked since pre-pregnancy and even then it was not that much. i looked online and everything is so mixed, and I didnt know if maybe anyone here might have any good insight into this.
Thank you!
Smoking has been shown to decrease milk supply (Something you are trying to avoid right now as you said yourself) and it can also increase the risk of SIDS due to exposure to second hand smoke, and if you bedshare (as opposed to her being in a crib or sidecar cosleeper) it can make you less aware of her and increase your risk of rolling/harming your baby in your sleep. There has been a study that showed no adverse affects in small to moderate amounts/occasional usage.
Other than that, it is up to you to decide how important it is and whether the benefits outweigh the risks. I'm not one to say "Don't do it." or "Go ahead it's fine." as it's not my place to say, it's yours. I myself drink wine and cider on occasion and breastfeed (But I do not drink enough to get drunk, or even barely tipsy, and I do NOT cosleep if I have ANY alcohol left in my system due to the safety risks), so please know that there are no rocks being thrown here.

Why? I thought your body was doing it's thing and doing just fine? Do you had pre-e or something serious going on?
