I was probably like 5 or 6, and pizza hut had these demo discs for ps1 that they were using to promote their business.
I didn't actually buy the pizza, my older cousin Walter did and he gave my family and I the discs later down the road.
The lime green one had a demo of FF8 on it where you do the dollet/SeeD mission. Funny enough, the demo made it so you had GF Leviathan and Rinoa in your party already. I ended up owning it for the PC when I was about 8 or 9 because my dad and his girlfriend split up and I didn't feel like returning the game... or the guide. Haha. Years later, I found a physical greatist hits copy in walmart for like 10 bucks. Of course I bought it. Then even more later on down the road, I found myself another copy of the guide. Bought that, too. (The guide that I had kept from my step bro was in extremely poor condition when I found it).
My childhood deceit was the best decision ever. Haha.
I still own the ps1 copy and both guides. Worst decision ever: Giving my ex FF8 for PC. It had it's case and manual - it was in immaculate condition. Little did I know, it's actually worth some money.
