I don't know if I ever replied in this thread before.

Any who, my first FF was actually X-2. A relative bought this for me (with a new PS2 slim) so it was odd playing the sequel first, but nonetheless it invited me to the franchise.

Mystic freakin' Quest. Aw yeah. For all the flak Mystic Quest gets,and deserves,it still has pretty sweet battle themes. The final boss is horribly unbalanced though as I discovered through experimenting. Cure piles on so much damage that you can skip his entire last form.

Currently playing through my very first attempt of the FF series with VI. After that I'm doing IX and finally Tactics. Not sure what will follow. Maybe IV.

Playing all the best ones first is just setting yourself up for disappointment later on if you plan to play them all. By the time you've played V,VI,IX,X,and Tactics you've seen the best the series has to offer.
