Rulihn had slept well with Caith nearby. She knew there was something wrong but her brother would not talk about it. He was sometimes just too hard to get through his hard outer layer and today was one of those days. Rulihn gave up and just slept near him to keep him company. She expected to wake in the early morning to go for a run or a hunt but that is not what happened. With night falling, a howl sounded through the territory. Rulihn heard it but she didn't move until Caith was on his paws.

It was Sioux and another howl rang making Rulihn shiver as she followed along behind her brother. There was worry in her as Goliath gave the rule over to Varko. As charge of the situation was passed, another howl sounded. Rulihn looked up at Varko, her gaze finally hollowing into eyes that would not display her fear.

They were all split up into groups. Caith was leading one and Rulihn was going with Varko and a few of the others. She whined softly and pinned her ears back as Cato approached. He gave her a reassuring nuzzle and she nodded feeling her own inner strength. She couldn't let her fear take hold of her. ”Thank you Cato.” Roo said softly as she looked to Catih. ”Be careful out there and keep your head on. Okay?” Caith nodded as he looked at her.

She pulled away from her brother to go to her group. Her little stump of a tail wagged as she approached them. The team was being led by Varko himself while it was comprised of Rulihn, Rorin, Sideris, and Hati. Roo looked around at the lot of them before lifting her head a little higher. She wouldn't let anyone know how upset she was that she had to face Sioux.

”Lets go get them,” she said as she tried to show some kind of bravery.

It was no secret that Roo was terrified of Sioux. She'd been out on her own when she was overtaken by a Sioux wolf. They severed her tail from her and would have killed her had Caith not come to her rescue. Another shiver ran through the fae and she shook before wagging her little tail again just to prove that there was something there.... even if most of it was gone.

Azexira shifted her weight on her paws as Vetis licked at her maw, trying to suppress a cheesy grin all of her own. He was acting like a pup after the first kill, not that she could blame him, she felt the same way but had been raised with enough pride to subside the butterflies that batted their wings at the inside of her stomach. The fae then turned her attention to Lukav, the growing pup's eyes seemed to light with a bit of the same energy she could sense in the older brute's voice. So he was accepting of the situation, a sigh of relief made it's way from her chest at the realization that at least she didn't need to worry about Lukav hating her. She wanted to reassure him that her intentions were not to take his father away, but to raise a family that included the three of them, maybe more in the future, but for now, based on their mutual love for each other. She never got the chance, her thoughts were cut short by Lukav saying he had already seen her as his mother. Her words were lost as she swallowed the lump in her throat. Xira had never had to be anyone's mother, and realizing the extent of the job, she was in for quite a treat. Instead of speaking she nuzzled the top of the pup's head before nudging him in the direction of the den.

She had looked behind her, of course to find Vetis close behind, and shortened her steps so they could walk together. Xira had expected Lukav to run ahead but sensing he was still a bit shaken she pushed her nose under him about halfway back to the den and flipped him onto her back, carrying him the rest of the way. Once back to the base, the trio had of course gone their separate ways, her idea of course, in not wanting her brother to assume any wrongness of the two wolves suddenly being inseparable. It would be better if her was told directly and not left to think it was some major secret.

                                              --timeskip--

Xira had been sunning herself on a large rock when she first heard her best friend's howl. Her ears flickered as she lifted her head in the female's direction, a questioning look in her liquid gold eyes. Nox doing Azazel's bidding? It made little if any sense at all, there had to be more to it. Her friend was no one's pawn. The rust colored fae made her way lazily to her feet and stretched before leaping from her rock and padding nonchalantly to the side of her darker counterpart. "You rang my dear?" Her eyes shimmered with genuine interest mixed with exhaustion that was catching up with her from her stand off with the bear. Who knew growling and hoping took so much energy from a fae? She rolled back on her haunches, about a wolf length from Nox as she waited for the others. In the time being, she watched the other fae curiously, normally it was Xira barking orders and Nox sitting where she was, supporting her every word. Once the other fae began to speak the terms on this meeting became clear, it had all been Nox's idea, hence why of course Azazel would bestow her the honors of leading the main attack, and of course the black fae would have wanted the alpha's sister at her own side instead of off leading another band of misfit toys.

Once the announcements had ended Azexira hung back, waiting with Nox for just a moment longer. "This was a completely sinister idea, Nox. I couldn't be more proud of you. And what a wonderful way to wiggle into Azazel's sights" She nodded her head respectfully to her best friend before excusing herself, setting off to find Vetis and Lukav. The pup managed to find her first, nuzzling himself against her leg. He was adorable, she would give him credit for that. "Be careful? Aww, dear Lukav, nothing bad will happen to myself or to your father. We are simply about to go have a bit of overdue fun. We would never get into a trouble we couldn't handle." It was a sharp jab at his encounter earlier with the bear, and maybe even a bit at the day he had spied on her at the base of the mountain. Getting into trouble was his job. Vetis and herself could handle themselves, especially if they were hoping to have a family to care for. She licked affectionately at his ear before trotting away, just in case by the will of fate, she didn't make it back, but the thought was highly unlikely.

Upon finding Vetis about to head out with his own group Xira rubbed her muzzle along his, stopping at his ear where only he could here her. "Show my brother...that you are twice the wolf any of them are. This could be the start of our eternity." She backed away from him, a soft chuckle escaping her upon seeing the renewed determination in his eyes and the smug grin drawn tight across his muzzle. He looked like he was ready to tear into something now, and it was a very attractive look on him, and she would be sure to let him know about it later. The fae turned her back so him, slipping back into her role as the alpha's sister, shoulder held with more pride, eyes glazed over in a dangerous void. She looked at him over her shoulder, the playfulness of the fae he saw moments before completely lost in dissolve. "Oh and scout, I want my wolves back alive. Every...single...one of them." Of course he only had control over himself and the four with him, but it was meant as a challenge, if he was to be her mate, he had to be able to protect their family, and to Xira, that meant the entire pack. Her eyes swept over the five wolves just once, pausing on Aerona and wishing she knew the healer well enough that she could ask her to keep him alive. Rising her head as if she had no cares of concerns in the world, she walked away knowing if she looked at him a moment longer she would risk ruining her reputation.

She caught up with Nox and the others just as they were leaving the den site, heading to the north of Uktena territories. The trip was made in silence, she had hoped to talk to her best friend about things with Vetis but the middle of a raid was no time to bring up such things so she stayed silent, glad she knew at least two of the fae's with her extremely well, it would make this fight all the easier. Herself and Nox working off of one another and watching each others backs, and Fis just being the little bad a** she was, there was hardly a reason for the other two to be there at all. The black fae's howl cut through the silence of the night sky, snapping Xira back to reality. It was time for bloodshed, they were all here for the same reason, and no one was going to yell mercy. She turned away from the other wolves, her side mere inches from Nox's as she flicked her tail at the fae's nose. Her way of saying 'I got your back, now watch mine' incase Uktena had gotten smarter and decided to try and come from behind them.

...sometimes you just can't contain a wildfire.

Thankfully his dear little pup was as happy as he was to have Xira become apart of their family. It was something he was quite worried about, since after all he knew his son's happiness was important as well. As they headed back, he started out behind the two of them. This was because if the bear decided to try anything he was the first one she would have to go through. He was going to protect his new family if he had to. Though soon his possible mate was at his side, with Lukav already running ahead towards the den once again. The two seemed to become more at ease with one another on this walk back, though that didn't mean they didn't keep their eye on the troublesome pup of a son. After all it was best he was in sight for the time being, he was sure to still be shaken up by the whole ordeal with the bear. A smile crossed Vetis' lips as he saw Xira get Lukav on her back, knowing he was need a good long nap from the running he had to do.

As they neared the camp, the three had to go their separate ways now. Azazel needed to know nothing yet, not until Vetis could show the beast of an alpha his real worth. Taking Lukav off of Xira, he nudge the pup along towards the area they normally slept in. Only giving Xira a nod for a good bye as he followed the weary pup into the den, wanting to make sure he bedded down for his nap of sorts. Sitting down beside Lukav he watched him curl up for his nap, not wanting to leave him alone for to long. After all he maybe a cruel, heartless brute at times, but this pup was like his son and he never wanted any real harm to befall him. A sigh left Vetis as he sat in silence keeping a watchful eye over the little one, only venturing out once he had gone to sleep. Though that was only so he could bring back some meat for his son to eat when he woke up. Running around like that was sure to take a lot out of him.

                                                                -------------------------------------------------------TIME SKIP-------------------------------------------------------

The morning and afternoon soon disappeared into the early evening hours which were enjoyable for Vetis. Though even as he sat outside the den area watching everything around, unsure of what exactly to do at this point to prove his worth to Azazel. Little did he know his chance was about to come, when Nox howled for a meeting to be called. Something he wasn't quite sure how he exactly felt about that. For now he ignored it and responded as he should and listened to the wolf carefully. He was amazed by being called as a group leader but he held his head up a bit in pride. After all he wanted to use this chance to show the alpha his worth and try to get his right at Azexira as a mate. When everything was said and done, he collected the four other wolves together. Giving out the plans of attack towards the wolves, about scouting out a good area and getting a high ground position. It seemed all were in agreement with this.

About to head out with the group and start to head to Utkena's westward territory, he was stopped by Xira coming over. Looking at her with a bit of surprise, he stiffened his posture when she came to whisper into his ear. What he heard caused his desire for blood to twist and turn even more. When she backed away he gave her a look of determination as well as a sick pleasurable desire to do her and her brother proud. Watching her leave, he stood still and proud for a moment, only to hear her next words. They rung in his ears over and over as he gave his own reply. "Of course dear little Xira, I wouldn't dare have it any other way." Looking back at the other wolves he gave off a soft growl, to signal it was time to move out. Which he then did just such, leading them towards the westward territory to steak out a piece of land.

Which when they did finally get close enough, he would slow the group and look towards Talon in silence for a moment. "Let's go, you three stay here for a moment. This needs to be prefect the first time." Turning away from the main group he hoped the black brute would follow the orders from earlier and go with him on this little scouting venture. It shouldn't take to long to find a good spot, but still he needed this to be perfect so he could prove his worth. After all he was chasing after the worst fae possible as a mate, an alpha's sister. Even worse it was his demon like alpha's sister. Yet he didn't care as long as he could make Xira happy, to him that would be what would really matter.

Fisane watched Nycro and he seemed puzzled, she at least hoped she knew what the male wanted to ask the alpha, she had seen him trying to get his attention for some time now, when he sighed softly she smiled a wolfy grin at him and nipped at his shoulder. Her ears flicked at his words and her heart melted, the gooey core of her melted but only for the snowy male before her. Her tailed wagged and she once more nipped at his fur softly. She licked under his chin pinning her ears back. “Of course I do you moron.” She said sweetly, well as sweetly as she could get. She watched him march toward the alpha and she paused sitting on her rump to see the jackass of an alpha speak toward her mate. She didn’t care if Azazel said yes or no, he was her mate and she wasn’t going to let anyone tell her otherwise. Her fur spiked up as she waited for him to speak, and she heard the growl of the alpha and had it not been for the fact she needed him to agree she would have launched herself at him and to his throat.

The hunter’s ears rolled and she growled lowly and dangerously, she was already not pleased with the alpha and his stupid choices, if he dared took her mate from her, she would mentally break and possibly kill him, or she would die trying. She stood up and forced herself to look away but only to have her attention turn back to her mate, she wanted to make sure her brute was okay. Her muzzle was wrinkled and her fangs exposed. She watched the alpha turned and stared at her, her muzzle flattened out just in time and she glared at his forehead, not his eye. It was when he returned to her side that her anger dropped and he pranced to her. She met him in the middle and wagged her tail as he spoke to her. She whined with excitement and rubbed her fur against his, he flopped over and she gently nipped at his throat and chest. She wagged her tail and flopped next to him and rolled with joy.

Her forepaws folded neatly over her chest while her hindlimbs kicked out to rotate her slightly. She heard the howl of the warrior Nox and she rolled her eyes. She flipped over and shook out her coat. Of course the dumb a** would think a raid is a great idea. she thought with disgust, the brute wasn’t even going to come, what kind of a p***y alpha didn’t come along? Fisane was disgusted in the male, he needed to be taken down, she felt and when Nox announced the teams her fur spiked up once more. Her new mate wasn’t even with her in this. “You have got to be kidding me…” she growled lowly, her razor sharp fangs exposed and pure rage shaking from the female hunter. The brute had hoped that one or both would be killed on this ‘war’ and this way they wouldn’t be together. Her eyes snapped at the alpha but she dare not move against him.

She would make sure that their weakling of an alpha would fall one day, and that way was quickly approaching. She turned when the warrior turned toward the group of females and spoke up. She didn’t say anything to her but she lifted her head and let out a war howl. Any wolf would hear the rage in her howl and she hoped that they would fear for their lives, because Fisane had come for blood. Her tongue rolled from her fangs as she snarled, “Let’s do this s**t.” She said darkly as she went right up near Nox. Her eyes burned with anger, hate and rage, she was daring any wolf to say something to her before she was able to sink her fangs into some meat.

Sideris' mind reeled for a few moments more before his thoughts quelled themselves. Offering of a soft, apologetic smile towards Valora and Wynter, he dipped his head softly before coming to sit to the pretty white female companion. "Im sorry Valora, I didnt mean to be so rude. I'll be okay, I just.. For some reason think i know that howl. It sounded exactly like my brother, I can only hope it's him." he gave a soft sigh. Soft, almost sad eyes looked upward a moment, and the lonesome feeling that always accompanied the male without his brother showed through his expression. Right ear flicking from the nuisance of a fly passing too closely, the brute's head popped a moment in hopes to evict the little terror from its hovering spot. Not finding any immediate relief, the brute paused briefly, waiting for the fly to near his mouth before clamping his jaws down on the foul insect. An expreddion half marred with disgust and intrigue lingered on his maw as Sid unhelpingly chewed on the fly, a rather new and revolting look replacing its predecessor.

After making a meal of a tiny insect, the pack member was content to roll onto his side before setting his torso upright, his hind legs still splayed whete he had been laying previously. Looking up at Valora he remembered what he had been meaning to tell her when he had come over to see her before the howl. "Oh, yes. I was speaking with the newcomer. Or well, what attention she oayed to me since there were so many others starting to crowd around, and she seems genuinely nice. But i dont think Goliath quite enjoyed that she kept the fact of her somehow evading scouts and everyone else for however long she's been out there. From the looks of her, i,d say she's at least been out there a year or so. But if you want the extra company with this little one, I'd be more than happy to stick around since i don't really seem to have a place here yet." his tail thumped lightly as he looked up at the white fae.

Glancing down to Wynter, Sid set his head on the ground so not to seem as scary. It was what he always did for her as he hated the idea of upsetting her in any way. Sid hand't been out with the group who had found her, but he'd been resting in the middle of the den when she'd been brought back and remembered how terrified she looked as well as how hard it had been for anyone to really introduce themselves to her which was why he had waited until she had been settled in later that day before even thinking about approaching her. Now, she rarely left Valora's side which the brute was happy she could at least stick with one wolf of their pack. His tail thumped lightly and his eyes lit with happiness at this thought. "Are you able to forgive me for being so rude? I understand if you cant, but maybe finding you food or telling you a story would help?" a gentle voice and he glanced up at Valora to make sure that these options were alright before he'd turn his attention back to the pup. Whatever she wanted was what he would do, and if she wanted him to leave, he'd pick his fuzzy butt up and find a nee resting spot so not to concern the little one too much with his presence.

His left forepaw came and did a sweep over his left ear, and he itched at it vigorously since the thin piece of cartilage and fur seemed to have suddenly began bothering him. Truthfully, Sid wasnt sure if he was starting to really display signs of an ear infection after his oh-so-wonderful trip down the river and debated going to see a healer about it. Of course,it didnt help that there was now yet another fly circling the reddened inside, just begging to bite into his sore skin. Having no other choice, Sid painfully pressed his ear back against his head, hoping this would solve his issues.

                                                Time Skip

Night was soon approaching and Sid had yet to find a suitable time to approach the healers when a howl rang out from the outskirts of their territory. The brute paused mid stride in his attempt to go see Castiel and looked up, as many of the other wolves of Uktena did. By the time a second howl came around, Sid was quick to make his way where all the others were gathering, knowing this was his chance go do his part for the good of the pack. When Sideris was given his team, he was quick to gather and noticed the distressed form on Roo just as it seemed Cato did. Waiting patiently for the warrior to speak with the huntress, Sid stepped near her as well. "Dont worry Rulihn, I'll watch your back and do my best to be there with you the whole time. I won't let anything bad happen to you." it was a promise that the male would put his damnedest into keeping. He wanted to show the female that he'd be there for her no matter what, even if she didnt quite consider him a full friend yet.

Castiel was a nervous wreck. He tried to make conversation but all it ended up coming out like was awkward. Hopefully this new fae didn't mind at all. She introduced herself as Kali. "That's a pretty name" He looked at her, a nervous look in his eyes. Oh boy, he couldn't flirt if his life depended on it. He looked away, ears flicking back and forth. Though when she began to tell him that she understood what he was feeling he let out a sigh of relief. "Well, it's good to know I'm not making myself out to look like a fool" He looked over her black fur, trying to spot any scratches. His caring healer instincts were kicking in. He looked over her scratches and they weren't to bad, nothing that needed attention at all. They would heal by themselves like her others have.

"Uh.. Yeah. I am nervous around faes. Just a male thing, ya know? Doesn't matter that you are an outsider at all. Everyone is welcome here in Uktena." He gave her a smile and a wag of her tail to let her know that she meant it. "Your scratches look okay, they won't need any special healing herbs. If they bug you at all, come see us here in the healers den right away. Better to get it checked then wait until it's too late." He looked around and then out the mouth of the den. "Lets get to seeing the den before the sunsets."

Castiel showed Kali around and had been with her until the howls of Sioux rang out through the territory. Castiel gulped and looked towards Kali cautiously. "That is Sioux. A vicious and sinister pack. They eat other wolves. Not to scare you or anything.. It looks like they have crossed our borders.." Suddenly everything went into chaos, however Varko assigned everyone into groups and even the outsider Kali with Castiel. Their group was lead by Aven and Castiel watched as she barked at them to move out east. He looked towards Kali and gave her a little nudge. "I know its frightening, but if you want to prove yourself to the pack.. Follow and help us. Ill make sure nothing happens to you. I promise" he reassured her and then started to follow behind Aven. His eyes locked forward in the dead of the night and he was worried that whatever was out here, would kill them all. However, he had hope. Uktena had lasted against Sioux for a while now, and they wouldn't let it happen so fast.

As they moved through the bushes. Suddenly their group came face to face with Sioux [Frosts Group].

The neat little beauty went ahead to have a word with their leader and the Omega waited patiently in his spot without even moving, there was a lot going on at the current time and even the observant wolf didn't get half of it in his head. It did not take long before Aven returned and he dipped his head as a yes and a respectful movement before they headed towards the forest. Vanishing into the bushes the two were not followed by any other males so Rorin felt momentarily safe from being fought over a female he wasn't even trying to vow. When they had taken a few steps into the dense forest he was asked a question that caused him to hum deeply and for a moment he just stared into the air, lost in his own thoughts. "Not really, I've always been content with my position as a Omega and never sought anything else" he murmured towards the female, not sure what to think of the matter. Sure he could have asked for a promotion and if he worked hard enough he would most likely get one, however it was hard for somebody else to understand. Rorin was submissive, he had always and always would be. Plus a Omega was by all means not completely useless. He said nothing more to say on the subject, but this was not the first time somebody had questioned his rank, so it would surely mull in the back of his head for a long time.

Searching for herbs with Aven was a nice thing indeed and even if she was very smart he seemed a bit more knowledgeable then her, which wasn't all that odd, after all she was a amazing hunter and not a healer. The only reason why Rorin knew as much as he did was due to his birth mother being one and she had taught him all she could before he had to leave. He happily agreed to a bit of a longer walk as soon as she gave the suggestion, the paste was applied and he was more then happy to not return to the den site anytime soon. After all he was enjoying Aven's company plus the den was filled with activity and hormones. For a Omega the mating season was not a good time. He had to admit Aven's scent was extremely alluring, but he would have never acted upon it, after all it could mean being ridiculed, plus she seemed to have eyes on a special wolf. Who was uncertain as of yet, but the notion of it being him was just impossible.

Conversations rolled on their tongues with ease both as they ventured and returned, talking with this beauty was a simple matter and in the forest he felt more at ease with his own skin. After all there was no need to under cast himself to anything, actually that could be dangerous. In fact Rorin was quite sad when they split apart and Aven seemed so delighted for the time they had spent together. The Omega simply nodded, gave his thanks and lied down in his spot as usual, keeping his aura as still and unimportant as possible. However then there was a sudden howls in the forest and his ears struck up, he went up on all four his hackles raising and a small snarl came from the base of his throat, he knew this was serious so when the pack was called upon he attended, right now he did not care for his rank he simply dipped his head in respect and listened to the orders.

Honestly he felt a swell of pride as he was in fact ask to join the battle that would surely commence rather then staying behind. There was no complaints from the multi-colored male he simply walked over to Varko, whom was his lead and gave him a respectful nod and glance, waiting for instructions. All this while there was little left of the submissive Omega everybody knew, no his posture was ready for battle, yet respectful towards those around him. Not long after their group headed north, consisting of Varko, Sideris, Hati, Rulihn. As they arrived it was clear that poor Ru was rather nervous while the three males was ready to protect all they could and fight for what was right. Rorin stood proud by them, refusing to show his previous submission at such a important moment. Sid was kind enough to try and raise Rulihn's spirits up in the sky and Rorin nodded in agreement. He would protect as well, all that was in his powers to protect. Even for a Omega he was large and well trained, plus he had the blood of his father, which was Alpha and very vicious, his father would have fitted perfectly within the Sioux. Though that male was probably long gone, Rorin had no idea and didn't want to find out either. It was clear Sioux was very proud of themselves, because there the group stood, ready for battle and Rorin raised his hackles and snarled low.

A sigh left him as he was given a last lick and nuzzle before she stepped back, already missing the warmth and comfort that her closeness gave. "I suppose we should" he agreed as Nev mentioned going back and he really did not want to, but indeed they should. Their pack would start wondering if two wolves whom were supposed to hate each other vanished together then didn't appear for a long time, it kinda said a thing or two. It was for the best if others didn't start getting a suspicion over them so instead of fighting what must be done he nodded and appreciated the small nuzzle, returning it before trotting after the beauty whom he had just confessed to. Jah was still in a bit of a daze at the mere thought of him actually having feelings for a fae, he never thought he would have that sensation again, let alone give in to it. He noted the slight wince of her body as they walked back, but didn't comment on it.

Worry he would, but he tried not to show it, after all he didn't want to seem like a love sick puppy that couldn't even handle seeing their dearest in a bit of a pain. Most likely her paw was just a bit sore from the tumble, or so he hoped. Reaching the den he stayed close to the fea's proximity, yet far enough away to not raise any alarms from anybody. Jah was surprisingly calm and content where he was and it was not until the how from Nox sounded that he perked up. Joining the meeting he listened intently, at first he was excited, longing for the blood of a wolf upon his tongue. Jawaahzi loved fighting those mutts just as much as any other wolf in Sioux so he was more then happy that this raid was happening, however the more Nox spoke the angrier he became. From excited to raged, his hackles were now high at point and his ears flat.

What sort of bullshit was that? Not only was he to listen to some damned healer, but a fae at that whom he didn't get along with very well. Jah had bad history with the healers, proof of the scar across his neck. But the worst was most likely that not he, but Vetis was given his very own little group to lead. The spotted wolf had always sought to become a Sigma and watching another scout lead a party for the raid was a big fall for him. Yet there was nothing he could do about the matter, making a ruckus out of it seemed pointless he only snarled and didn't say a word. It was rare for the manipulative male to complain out loud, but inside he was quite the turmoil. The fact that Nev was in another group didn't bother him all that much, she was more then capable of handling herself and he was pretty sure she would tear whoever dared fight her to shreds. Plus if he was in the same group as her he might do something stupid like taking her hit again, which was out of the option. The scout concluded that he would be less distracted when Nev wasn't right by his side and he would not worry about her.

No matter, when Frost lead on he followed without a word with the rest of his group, Nycro, Kune and Akela. Though it was clear he was not happy he would more take it out on the Uktena rather then his own pack. He would show Azazel and everybody else that he was to be reckoned with. Vetis would not beat him, lead or no lead. They wandered towards the east, all the while Jah moved like a scout would, low to the ground and silent, a shadow of the forest. Frost's howl sounded of and she spoke up, Jah did not respond, simply stared ahead and prepared himself to rip another wolf apart. The sooner the better. Standing his ground he growled, sizing his opponents and spotting a fae that seemed to be currently leading the group from Uktena, yes. She was a perfect pick and he practically glared at the fae [Aven], not realizing just who he was intending to maim.

Makoce had, embarrassingly enough, fallen asleep after her slight pity party and herb rearrangement only to be awoke by a series of howls making her jump up and the hair on her back raise. She rushed over to the huddling masses listening to their hushed yet somehow angry voices. Finally she heard the cause for all this commotion and felt the remaining hairs that had been laying flat fully raise thinking about that viscous wolf pack. They were attacking?! Her breath began to come out in short pants as if she had been running for miles and she could feel slight tremors in her body causing her to stand away from the few wolves surrounding her so that they didn't feel them. However that soon became the last thing on her mind as Varko called her name along with the others placing her in Caith's group her stand still in shock. She was being volunteered to go and beat back these savages along with other older and trained individuals?! Were they crazy!? Her breathing became sporadic again and the only reason she was sure she wasn't shaking beneath her pelt was because her whole body was practically frozen in terror. The closest to a remote fight she had ever been in were those skirmishes between her and that squirrel, now she was going against wolves nearly four times that size and thirty times more brutal! Makoce could only give a nod that she had heard and understood the plans before she went back to the healers den to gather a small amount of supplies. She had seen the way the scouts, hunters and warriors have come back from minor skirmishes and hunting parties; she could only imagine what would be happening this day. When she was sure she had the appropriate herbs and leaves she bundled them tightly and neatly so they wouldn't fall out during the course of her running and scampered back towards Caith to await her orders.

Saida was at peace with the world, at least for today anyway. The sun warmed her fluffy white pelt as she laid around outside of the dens, out of view of the wolves who would otherwise enjoy picking on her should they see her. As hard as they tried, sometimes Saida would slip up and others would see that she was a bit of a kind soul, and they would endlessly bother her about it. Luckily her dark shadow, Bastyn, would be there to defend her. As long as no one brought it to the attention of the Alpha she was fine. Panting, her tongue lolling out of her jaws lazily, she looked around, wondering where Bastyn was currently. Usually he never strayed far from her side, and she often felt anxious if he wasn’t around. Especially if Talon spotted her. The brute was particularly ruthless with her and often it lead to blows with her brother. With a lazy sigh she pushed herself to her paws and shook out her fur, before making her way slowly to go find somewhere to drink. The warmth was making her thirsty. After awhile she found a small stream and took several drinks until she no longer felt parched. She then began to roam a bit. As long as no other wolves were around she could be herself, and Saida loved walking in the woods, sniffing flowers and just being one with nature. She spent several hours out there, just walking around. After taking another quick stop at the stream to refill, she made her way back towards the dens to go find her brother.

He would definitely be wondering where she’d gone off. Saida didn’t want him to worry about her, since it wasn’t often she went off for walks on her own. Back at the dens, she looked around, trying to find Bastyn, wherever he was. She was just in time to see Azazel feasting on what must be a ‘gift’ from Talon. Once the Alpha had eaten he signaled for the rest of the pack, and she quickly made herself sparse, hoping no one noticed her. She couldn’t bring herself to taste the flesh of another wolf… She sighed softly and then scurried into a shadowy place to lie down again. Bastyn could come find her, whenever he wanted to. She actually fell asleep rather quickly, far enough away to not listen to the sounds of wolves devouring their prey. She understood that they had to eat, but that’s what the critters in the woods were for… However it was a battle she would never win… Or even start! Anyway, she fell asleep until Nox howled to get all of their attentions. Jumping, a bit startled, she yawned and shook the sleep out of her body before going to see what was up. She spotted her brother finally and walked over, brushing her white fur against his own. She announced the raid and Saida felt her heart stutter. She pressed against Bastyn nervously, though she did heave a sigh of relief when it was discussed that they would be in the same group. Thank the gods, if not she’d have no idea what she would do. Her brother was her protector, he stayed with her so that she wouldn’t have to fight or kill…

Their group took off to the North, and Saida followed half heartedly after Nox, Xira, Fisnae, Nev, and Bastyn. When they started the howling she joined in, hoping that this would be over quickly. She was trying to figure out how she was supposed to fight without actually fighting. Surely if she didn’t someone would notice that she’d been sitting out, they’d bring it to the attention of Azazel, and she’d be tortured or killed… Probably both. She sat nervously, waiting for the Uktena wolves to answer their taunt, praying with all her heart that her secret not be discovered on this day. The sound of wolves running soon became evident, and Saida jumped to her paws, completely unready for this. Out of the bushes jumped five Uktena wolves, ready to defend their territory. Seeing as there was six of the Sioux wolves, Saida quickly began thinking, perhaps she could just flash her fangs a few times and get away with it? She hoped this was going to work, and a low snarl, fake, came from her. A particular wolf caught her attention, though she tried to focus on the group as a whole.

The fae before him revealed to him that Azazel was her cousin. Interesting. Zevran simply looked at her, tempted to also share his bloodlines with her, however, the only wolf to know was Zheana. And so he'd rather keep it that way even if he feels like he could trust Aerona. The massive brute blinked as she apologized for throwing the 'drama' upon him, he simply shrugged. "It is not something you ought to apologize about, everyone has problems, they just need someone to hear them out..." He responded before looking at the water. "It is no sign of weakness either, we're wolves, we are no gods nor goddesses like Azazel believes we are, we hurt, bleed, and die like any other, this pack just has wolves of ranks that think they can overtake those that are physically stronger..." He smirked as his tail waved behind him in amusement. "I have proved my worth, they just think that by killing, hunting, or maiming a wolf makes them stand out from the rest, anyone can do that, even you." He encouraged, flashing a small smile towards her. His words held truth, anyone can kill, anyone can hunt, some are just more skilled at such than others, hence why there are ranks.

His ears twitched at her offer to hunt, nodding he stood. "Of course." He knew she was feeling down, so why not oblige? The two left the area and went on a hunt of their own, Zevran offering to hunt a doe or slightly smaller game. The two managed to kill a small female boar, sharing the kill until their bellies were full before returning to the den site after he saw that Aurora was feeling much better. Upon their arrival, an attack was being announced, and thankfully the two were there to hear it. It seems that they are part of a group being lead by Vetis. Zevran could only stand there and listen as wolves that were divided into three groups before leaving. The massive brute snorted. Why were the healers coming along? His eyes slid over to Aerona. "Not saying that you can't handle yourself...but stay close." He whispered for only her to hear. It was an annoying thing, stuck with hunters, a scout and a healer, ending as the only warrior in the group. In truth, he knew that they are all more than capable, Aerora included, but if the healer gets badly injured then they were all ********. Turning, he followed the group closely behind.

Hati's ears lowered upon hearing Whisper apologize for not seeing him, while also pointing out that Zheana was not to far off. He sighed, feeling horrible on how he just tried to make her feel bad. His ears flattened even more so against his head when she pointed out that her ribs were hurt so she couldn't run. "Oh I'm sorry..." He apologized, knowing that he had the right to. His eyes glared openly at Ghost as he spoke up, suggesting that they'd go on a walk along side the river, perhaps even catch a fish. Hati could only roll his eyes at this. How annoying was this all, of course, Whisper agreed to that. Well suuuure, why the ******** ******** not? Before Hati could say anything a howl came from the densite's direction, it was from Goliath. Narrowing his eyes he snorted, standing as he looked over at the two. "We should probably see what that is about..." To Hati it was a summoning call and so he up and left the two, slightly pissed that all of this had to be ruined by both Goliath and that weak piece of s**t.

He arrived at the den site, seeing a black female amongst the others. She was malnourished, but a true beauty. However, everything was happening quite fast and not long after, a howl, not one but three, echoed through the forest. Those howls made his hackles rise as he turned his attention to the Alpha, whom put Varko to take charge. Three leaders were assigned and they divided pack members into each group, him being with Varko. However, learning that Zheana was placed in a different group, sure, the fae could handle herself just fine, but he wished for her to be with him, at least Whisper was not to be there. Varko called out his group to move out, and he followed closely behind with Ruhlin, Rorin, and Sideris. Ruhlin seemed nervous but the males wasted no time in trying to lift her spirits. He sighed, annoyed that he was not placed with Zheana but no matter, when this is over, he'll have his talk with her, if not, then there's always his interest.

Azazel was an idiot on pretty much every sense of the word and Aerona was able to hold her tongue and actually think about things before acting on impulse.

The sane healer had to agree with the large brute, they were just living beasts. They were just fur, claws, paws and fangs. They were nothing magical and even if her moronic cousin assumed that he was Lupen’s prized gift to the lands she knew better. She listened to the male some more and when he gave her a wolfy grin she wagged her tail a little bit. She felt better to let it out but she needed to collect herself before anyone else in the pack viewed her, still steaming with rage of learning of her family connection she had offered him a hunt, which he accepted rather quickly.

She smiled a wolfy grin and she let him lead, her head and nose wasn’t totally in the zone so she figured why not just follow the larger male. He offered for them to hunt a doe and she shook her head, “Too big, maybe a boar?” she suggested and with that they both came together and went to work sniffing out the animal. It took a little bit but it was Zevran who found the boar’s scent first, Aerona followed him until her own nose picked up the trail, at which they split and working as if they had hunted together for many moons were able to kill the boar easily. They ate together in a peaceful silence, nothing awkward just two wolves eating their kill together. Aerona rather enjoyed it over the crazed that came with eating with the pack.

Aerona feeling better suggested that they returned to the pack, Zevran agreed and off they went, taking their time until they heard a howl ring out, it belonged to Nox and even though they were nearby, they picked up the speed just a touch. Arriving in time to hear that they were going on a raid, the healer rolled her silvered hues, what a moron her cousin was. She was sure Nox would lead this to the best of her ablilty but what the hell was now the time and place for a raid? She shook her head as the warrior broke the pack into three groups, she assumed she would be staying behind to take care of the injured wolves, but no she was thrown into a group.

Her fur spiked in annoyance, um Azazel realized she was a HEALER, which meant she didn’t fight, like ever. She was the sane one of the pack’s twitching healers, she knew enough about fighting to take care of the wounds, she was going to get herself injured or worse killed. Her silvered hues flicked over to the snow healer who had been put in charge of a group, she snorted and had to chuckle at that. Seriously? She thought, put a healer in charge of a group, Lupen Azazel you as smart as a rock. Her ears rolled as she heard the male warrior speak. She nodded and would do just that, “Azazel isn’t the smartest wolf is he?” she whispered so only he could hear. She was sure that would make the male smile, and it was true. Who sent healers into battle? There was plenty of warriors and hunters and even scouts who knew how to fight, why drag the wolves that were suppose to keep your pack alive into something like this?

Aerona felt eyes on her and she turned to see her cousin looking at her, she wasn’t sure if Azexira realized they were family but this was not the time to tell her. The female turned away and went off with her group before Aerona had the change to think about something to say. Shrugging she heard their "leader", Vetis, growl, the healer looked at him as if he had a second tail, “Manners are really lacking in this pack…” she whispered softly as the healer’s paws moved her forward.

                                                          Edited:

Yawning, the brute stretched his forepaws outward, enjoying the feeling of each toe spreading as Meera leaned against him, greeting him in response. when she plastered her side to his, the overwhelming scent of pheromones that clung to her fur was almost too much for him. Instead of doing something stupid, Talon could only bury his maw into his food in hopes to avoid anything too stupid or reckless. When the fae licked under his maw, a gentle rumbling growl vibrated through his chest, accompanied by a slight thump of his tail. With her movement, the air stirred about them and as he had gone to nestle into her cheek he caught another whiff of that aura that would probably drive him insane. Not knowing what else to do, he had hastily buried into his food. It wasn't until they were both done eating and Talon had started relaxing did he become antsy once more. As Meera began to assist cleaning him, Talon's fur became slicked with her saliva and scent and the brute subconsciously began shifting his rump a few times, trying to avoid that oh so longing feeling from his groin. His ears flicked back and the brute though baffled and resenting the fact that a fae could drive his body to such limits, Talon was thoroughly enjoying it.

Huffing a moment as the brute momentarily brought his torso up, leaning to n** at her neck, he flopped back down first to his stomach and then to his side so that his back lay against her flank. When she questioned him about the wolf he yawned, stretching out his legs once more. "I was patrolling the border of the field we enjoy hunting from and caught the scent of the mutt. Pity for him the wind was blowing in my direction and he didn't see a thing coming. I had planned on toying with him, keeping him alive just enough to bring him back here but he decided to be stupid instead" his voice was dark, gruff, sinister, revealing the obvious point that he had rather enjoyed himself. The hunter took a moment to revel in the fact that he was able to have more fun than any of the others so far on this fine day before glancing upwards at her with a gentle snort. "As i was saying to Azazel, it seems that Goliath is letting his warriors grow fat and lazy. I almost wish the brute would let us go pay them a visit but he's too busy chasing the tails of every fae to be bothered with such things. I suppose I can't blame him, if any fae were half as beautiful as you I'm sure he wouldn't be scrambling as he is. " he grumbled softly.

Feeling a sharp biting tug on his tail, Talon let off a fierce growl, bring his torso up and towards the little mouth so quickly the fear of his motion made the pup release his tail, tumbling backwards and mostly down the embankment of dirt the little s**t had crawled up. For a few moments more, the hunter bared his teeth, growling at the group that stared back up at him as if challenging him to go after them. It seems the rest of them had dared the runt to pester him and the little troublemaker had been stupid enough to have been pressured into doing it. Talon honestly debated on grabbing each by the scruff and terrorizing them a little just to prove a point but he knew the provider next to him would never forgive him for it. Huffing, his right ear flicked back when he seemed to notice either her or someone else watching to see what he'd do, so he simply picked up a nearby bone left most likely from a past meal by Meera. Opening his jaws, he brought them down and closed them with enough force to shatter the bone where his teeth impacted. To the pups, it would serve as enough of a warning, to any onlookers, it would prove he wasnt stupid enough to kill a pup just yet. Standing, the brute sat once more, facing forward this time with his tail tucked around his hind paws. Settling down, he avoided looking at the beauty next to him for a moment or two, some slight fear within that he might have upset her by his display but she should have known full well what she was getting herself into by becoming closer to him. That was another thought that set him on edge, as a memory flashed through his mind of the last incident with a fae whom he had grown close to. Shaking the thoughts off and deciding that Meera was not that stupid or naive, he returned to more entertaining thoughts driven by the height of breeding season. Placing a paw and leg on the other side of her, he tested the waters half playing, half curious to her reaction as he nipped her ear and neck. If she snapped at him, he'd mouth her nose to show he was only playing and would shrink back to laying on his side, except he'd face her this time.

                                                          Time skip.

As the day had rolled on and Talon had taken his chances with small advances on Meera, he eventually was forced to depart from her side both because of the pups and his need to stretch his legs after virtually staying in one spot for so long. However, as night began to set, he was alerted to s call for a gathering. What truly peeked his interest was in the fact that it was not their Alpha who called for everyone but Nox, a curiosity to the hunter. Approaching at a leisurely pace, seeing no need in hurrying. When he finally arrived and the blackish fae spoke, Talon's ear perked as well as his sinister attitude in the prospects of this raid. The only thing that put him off was the fact that she was organizing it considering the conversation that had occurred between Azazel and himself. Truthfully he was rather annoyed about the whole thing considering she'd probably just been given the job since she was one of the tails that their alpha was chasing. Glancing around it seemed a few of the others had the same thought or at least with some of the other leaders. Talon could understand why Nox was leading a group, she was a warrior, and though smaller, he had seen her hold her own against a few of their pack mates and probably wouldnt do a half bad job. That, he could respect, but why there was an unskilled healer leading who would most likely have to leave during the battle anyway to assist those with injuries was beyond him. Talon could marginally understand Vetis taking the lead of a group, since he would probably scout ahead to find a better location and the brute probably had his own motives, but why there were no more members with any sort of fighting background had him partially stewing where he sat.

Growling softly as he rose to join his group, he noticed the approaching form of Meera and sighed. He had wanted to speak with her after returning from his stroll about courting her or perhaps laying claim to her as a mate but it seemed his plans would be put on hold. Talon was put off by the fact that Azazel would not be joining them, but that thought was quick to leave his mind as the brute probably had some other motive not to be going. When she approached, giving him a quick affectionate lick, he stretched, nipping at her neck once more. He growled with pleasure at her words and his tail curled upwards with the thought of battle despite the fact the urge to mount her was still there. "With pleasure. And Meera, when we return, I would rather enjoy your attention for something i've been meaning to come forth with you about. " he was quick as it seemed all the others were eager to leave. Gathering Ronja, he stalked forward into the night with the others, his pelt disappearing in the darkness. At times, only his eyes shown through enough to let others know he was there as his paw steps were utterly quiet.

When Vetis called them to a stop and decided on he to accompany the scout, the hunter gave a firm nod. Stepping forward, his tail curled up, a habit, as they set off to search for a good spot. The duo didn't travel very far, perhaps a quarter mile before they found what they were looking for: a good vantage point that they could use to boost their prowess and skills. looking to Vetis, a sinister smile rolled over the hunter's expression as his fur crawled with anticipation, his fangs almost aching to feel more flesh and bone among them. No words needed to be spoken with what Talon needed to do next as he turned and moved at a brisk pace to fetch the others. Coming upon their rag-tag group he spoke in short, knowing they needed to return soon before the battle began without them. "We've found a vantage point, Uktena wont even know what hit them "another sly smile and the brute turned, picking up his pace once more. If they didnt want to get lost, they'd need to stick near him considering they wouldnt be able to hear him just as it was difficult to hear most others. However, silence was one of the hunter's main skills when it came to slinking about the territory in search of prey.

As the howls went up in the air, it didnt take long before the group spotted the pelts of their rival pack dipping through the trees to meet their death. His eyes caught sight particularly of one fae who he'd just love in particular to mar up. Two toned eyes watched and waited for the command to surge forward. Not even a few moments later, Vetis's howl rang through the air to attack, and with that, Talon leapt into action.

Outofcharacter;Sorta crappy as it goes on. Acid i hope this is okay when it comes to Meera. Ill change it if it pushes too many boundaries.

For everyone else, sorry if i didnt include you, i started getting bored of writing after a while and realized this is probably way too long.

Mating season was driving the male insane, not that he needed any help in this area, insanity was Bastyn's expertise. None of the females in this pack seemed worthy of the time he spent watching them let alone actually considering a mate, but he was still a male in his intincts were still the same. The problem wth Sebastyn was that he was too much like their alpha in the sense that if he let himself have one of them, just a taste of Azazel's forbidden faes, he would like make his round with all of them. It wasn't customary, and quite unbecoming of the cruel hunter, but he wasn't looking for a mate, in fact, he wasn't even looking to chase tails. A low growl swelled in his chest, chasing all of the nonsense thoughts running from his mind like phesants after a gun shot. He had come out here to get away from all the female aromas, not to wring his mind about how much he would like to have one, just one, and then leave her dead for Azazel to find.

The sound of movement outside of his hiding spot made his eyes snap open, watching from his hiding spot for what he hoped to be a rabbit or a fox, anything just big anough to kill and take back for Saida. His dearest little Saida. He wondered if she would be worried about him, relieved to see him upon his return. They were the questions of a fool. Of course she would be worried about him, a puppet never stayed from it's master long, and when it did, explanations were to be expected. Instead of a personal lunch for his darling sister, his eyes landed on a pair of wolves coming back from a day in the woods. Their scent was hard to catch through the sweetness of the raspberry bush he had taken refuge in for a morning nap, but by sight he recognized the alpha's sister, Xira, and a dark colored brute that could only be explained as Vetis once he caught sight of the slumbering pup on the fae's back. Suspicious. A single thought blinked through his mind as his hatred for the copper-toned female rose in his belly. He considered reporting back to Azazel his suspicions of the wolf being a whore, not because he had proof she was, but simply because he couldn't stand her. The way she walked around like she was important when in reality she was nothing. Her parents had been alphas, he brother was an alpha, but unless she was mated off to Goliath as a mark of union between the packs, it was unlikely that she would ever be anything more than a pain in his tail. And for that he would much rather make her life a living hell by letting he know he would not bow to her as the others often did.

Once he was sure they were gone, Bastyn headed back to the den site, entering just in time to get an ear full of howl from a seemingly over anxious Nox. Great. More orders from more wolves he couldn't stand to be near. It made his sick just thinking about it. The brute bite his tongue, tasting blood in his mouth which was effective enough in making him keep his mouth shut even with all the smartass comments he would have liked to make. The first of which being 'since when does Azazel trust faes to do a brutes job'. That would have at the least gotten him a nice set of teeth sunk into his nose, and a very displeased Saida. As if reading his mind, the snow colored fae brushed against him, bringing a slight smile to his usually emotionless face. So she had missed him. He focused his attention on the 'announcement' or whatever it was being called seeing as announcements were usually reserved for wolves of power and this yapping b***h, well she was as much nothing as the useless fae beside her. He felt Saida pushing her body against his at the mention of a raid. and he couldn't help but readjust his stance, moving so that his sister's smaller form seemed to mold to his until he rested his head against her neck, showing a sense of possession most would reserve for their mates. "My sweet silly girl," he nipped softly at her ear as if to comfort her, "that's what I'm here for." He chose his words carefully, so if he was overheard there would be no leading his words back to what he truly meant, but he knew she would understand. Saida was smart like that. He was here to protect her. She wouldn't have to do much more than lift a paw.

                                              --timeskip--

Sebastyn joined the assembly of his raiding group wth a heavy heart, or at least he would have but he wasn't too sure he had a heart for it to be heavy. All he knew was that he was stuck with both Nox and Xira. He stuck close to Saida's side during the journey, occassionally brushing up against her so that any wolf she may have to encounter would know to expect a much bigger problem if they decided to take her on. The brute kept his calm, not wanting to give his sister any more of a reason to be worried than what she already had. The fae was simply not a fighter, and though her brother had inherited enough brutality for both of them, she was right in worrying that if she was ever discovered she could be killed. Bastyn cast a quick glance in her direction, trying to assess how she was handling the idea of the raid so far when Nox the annoying decided to howl again, this time signalling for Uktena to send their best. Moments seemed like forever before the rival pack made themselves known. Bastyn followed Saida's line of sight and smirked. "You can hold her long enough to make a statement without hurting her." His voice was low, only loud enough for her to hear before he turned to the other four Uktena wolves, his teeth bared and a deep growl challenging them to come forward.
