• Teenagers...
Such a shame in my eyes.
    Yes, I'm one of them,
But doesn't that make me the best candidate to lament?

    Where has respect gone?
    Where has common sense gone?
    Where are our morals?
Where did the wheels fly off?

It's shameful how many of my peers have no conscience.
    Incogniscient of each other,
    Uncaring toward authority,
    And just plain cold.
    On top of that,
We throw around what was once greatly valued.

I can't count how many times I've seen the fools thinking they've found their soul mates,
Not realizing that their feelings will pass; it's only puppy love.
And the divas who insist on wearing no top or shoe twice...such brats!
I am proud not to be one, despite the crap they give me.
    Then there's the ones who smoke pot and nicotine, and drink till they drop;
Don't they realize they could die any day?
I declare, these youths are a disaster.

Perhaps the saddest cases are the nobodies; an example would be myself.
We face constant bullshit for no reason
    Other than who we are.
Our friends are our iPods, blogs and journals,
And our fellow outcasts, of course.
    Yes, we produce such beauty
In the form of words or music.
But it doesn't replace a friend or two.
Such a shame that teenagers are so primitively cruel that nobodies exist!

    Teenagers...
Such a disgrace to the world.
    We're drug addicts and materialists,
Not to mention the countless morons.
We, the future, are a disappointment to the world.
And as I watch my generation turn into stoners, sluts, and shopaholics,
I shudder to think of the example they set for the children.
If we are bad, who's to say they won't be even worse?
Generation X: so much for the world's last hope.
