i was watchin him as he left me
and he was breakin my heart
i felt like i was drownin
and i couldnt get up

he walked out the door
and left me behind
i thought he cared about me
but i realized
i must have been foolish
to believe in love

was i wrong to believe in love?
was i wrong to believe in him?
was i wrong to believe that we could be together forever

but now i'm stronger, better, wiser
and i can see his face without breakin down cryin
though i still can't believe he only cared about himself
i'm ready to face the truth
