• Misfit

See this misfit in the mirror
She cries out, yet no one hears her
Those muffled screams, still not heard
    Those tears she cries, undeserved

    Each time she cries
    Everybody lies
    Telling her she'll be alright
And everything will be made right

She's wished upon her lucky star
Hoping and praying that she'll leave no more scars
Everyone tells her that cutting is bad
But do they even understand the reason that she's sad?

To they understand the pain she feels?
Or the reason that she never reveals?
To hide the truth is hiding the pain
In reality, what is there to gain?
