• The end was near for her
    That much she could see
All that was dear to her
The past it soon would be
Memories come of a fateful May
A day so long ago past
    A beautiful spring in May
It all departed way too fast
The joy of life left no tears
When she softly said “I do”
Her eyes became awash with tears
When those words were no longer true
The day became like winter cold
Bitter, chilled and frosted with snow
And soon his heart was just as cold
Even as she begged him not to go
In her heart there was nothing left
All she could do was cry
And so she found one choice left
She made her choice to die
Little, round and blue they were
Thirty or more she would take
The source of final peace they were
    The choice she did make
    Fading fast her vision goes
Memories of him are all she has
Softly drifting off her spirit goes
Her final breath comes to pass
Under the tree they found her
In her hand was her final note
All that was left of her
Was found in the words she wrote
It told of love, a promise and a vow
And how they would never be apart
And of the time they both broke that vow
    And forever broke her heart
