• A Color Unsure

There once were two cities, one of darkness, one of light
They mirrored each others image and fought into the night
The dark city called hatred called out its evil scorn
The light city called truth called out its morning lore.
The demons laughed but felt only pain
The angels sung, but silence through the rain
Clouds of white covered what should be shown,
Clouds of dark covered what shouldn’t be known.
But love was to strong to keep them apart,
A demon and an angle, how could there be heart?
A dark wounded warrior looking for truth,
A light beauty giver looking for proof
Secretly they flee into the forest away
Love never more sweetly expressed in this way
But, the king of the knight was told by his spies,
That his once greatest warrior loved one he despised.
As the trumpets of war sprung out in the air,
And the cries of the hippogriffs shattered the stare.
The darkness came in and fought with the light,
It formed a clash of grayness that stained the sky bright.
Through, blood drenched fables, and tales of the seas
The happiness lies where the heart can only see.
To be dark was evil; to be white was pure,
But now can live in peace, a color unsure.
