• She stares at the moon, with that gleam in her eyes
Another year, she wished hadnt gone by
Yet she couldnt stop it, only get caught in the draft
When the couples move forward, and begin their bitter laughs
Though its a beginning, to her it feels like the end
To mourn over the loss, of her substantial friend
    She wont cry.
    Wont talk.
    Only look to the sky
Who knows what she's thinking? Dare they ask why?
Further alone, she sits on the porch
Watching the fireworks blast into the atmosphere
They're all so happy, she doesnt want to ruin, the people's fun and representation for the new in
Though she fakes a smile, it doesnt fight the scorch, the fear that her anger, would burst out the torch
She thinks her thoughts, of petrifying hue
A shade of color, she had never knew.
They pry and they poke, into what isnt theirs to know
They ask if there's something, she needs to show
She doesnt answer, only continues to stare at the moon
Without it theyre to distract her, who knows what they would have knew?

She's got that painful gleam in her eyes again.
