• I want to see your face

    Before my memory is erased

I want to see your body

Just not walking away from me

I want to see you here

Please don't make me plead and tear

    Can you see me?

    Can you see me?

I am standing at the corner

    Watching and just waiting

    Pondering if you’re coming out

This is what I am debating

Snowflakes are falling on my face

I am freezing at a quick pace

    Can you feel me?

    Can you feel me?

I hear your voice inside my head

I am freezing and if I don’t get in I’ll be dead

But I am too cold and exhausted

I Fall a sleep and rest my head

I tend to hear a quiet whisper

Calling my name to come hither

    Can you hear me?

    Can you hear me?

I am walking on a line

With chills running down my spine

I am on clouds of the night lit sky

One false move and I will die

I feel the cotton of the soft clouds

I kneel down and there it lay’s

A blurry image in which I must gaze

I see and memorize it as my brain is refreshed

I smell the area with a quick sniffle

I open my eyes strapped to a bed

    Can you see me?

    Can you see me?

    That picture is you

    That voice was you

    Calling me out of unconsciousness

That smell was the smell of fear

That feeling of cotton was the emergency bed I was strapped to

In a quick realization I notice you and cry

    Can you see me?

    Can you see me?

You ask me a question with seriousness on your face

    “Are you mad?”

    “Your life was in jeopardy,

    Luckily I had found you!”

(A quick moment of silent then arose)

“I had spotted you on the ground with blue fingered tips

    You were shivering faster then the wind blows;

Yet with a smile sewn to your rosy cheeks

I laid you in my arms and waited for help”

    Can you hear me?

    Can you hear me?

    “Yes” I respond

“I do not know of what overcame thee

    But I am safe now aren’t I?”

Then with the smile of relief you reply, “With my thoughts and prayers with you,

You will be secure and fastened to your life forever more!”

I am elated to hear such beautiful words from an angel I stare at

An angel that has let me live another day

This action was an act of a beating heart

I close my eyes as I rest with your head on my arm and your spirit on my soul

    You can feel me

    You can feel me
