• She drifted into the memory. ‘The hot sun was penetrating sown on the fields. Clare took a step and bent down to pick a pea pod she didn’t see before.
“Hey Clare what do you think it would be like if we were ladies of this manor.” Elizabeth asked her. Elizabeth her best friend was only 14 but was very pretty with blue eyes and blond wavy hair…and always getting in trouble.
“I don’t know but I bet right about now we would be organizing shoes to go with different outfits.” Clare giggled.
“That sounds redic-.” A young man riding a horse into the manor cut her off.
“I wonder what is up want to go see?” Elizabeth said excitedly.
“We’ve already gotten in trouble 2 this season and why would you want to?” Clare wined.
“Well because then there wouldn’t be anything to get in trouble for.” Elizabeth smiled then added. “Come on is stop being such a cow.” Elizabeth picked up her bag and started running.
‘uggg we are going to get in so much trouble.’ Clare thought to herself as she ran after Elizabeth.
Clare ran until she got to their place where they would watch and listen when guests came.
“Yes I know- …” The voice was cut off.
“You send me back to him I will tell him that you have been mistreating your power.” A nice deep voice said.
“No need to get hasty, I would be happy if you stayed in my household.” It sounded like the Master but so fake.
“Well I think I shall go on a walk.” He said. They heard footsteps Elizabeth tapped her and pointed to where the door would open. Both girls looked out of their hiding place to see a guy about 16 with golden hair coming out in nice clothes. They waited a minute then went back out to the fields.

The next day Elizabeth was inside helping the cook leaving Clare outside with the other peasants who had to farm also. She saw the mystery man walking in the fields and watched him for a while until he went inside. Right before Clare was going to go to sleep she heard a scream. She shot up and peaked out. She saw lots of bandits running towards the house and some coming towards her getting back inside she woke up Elizabeth and grabbed their bags with their only change of clothes.
“Come on.” Clare yelled at her almost dragging her out of the small hut they had. Elizabeth finally saw what was happening and her eyes widened. The girls ran fast to the forest even though there was probably more thieves and wild animals there, but it was better than nothing Elizabeth thought.

Jumping over thorn bushes and dodging trees they both fled. Soon the girls realized no one was following them so they slowed to a walk. They slowly made there way through the forest until they found a clear spot.
“I think we should rest.” Elizabeth said already sitting down.
“Maybe.” Clare slowly lowered herself to the ground and lay in the small bit of grass.
“Good thing we already had dinner before they attacked.” Elizabeth joked.
Clare laughed a little then drifted into sleep.
