• Kayame flew to the raging, sea green river, as the golden, blazing light of the sun went down, changing day to night. She landed gracefully onto the soft green grass; she walked the last few steps up to the river and sat down. The wind blew her long, soft, black hair back, and she closed her deep, dark, blue eyes. Her long, black wings fanned out and the wind direction changed, so now the wind blew her hair forward. She couldn’t allow any assassins to know she was there. She heard foot steps cracking twigs in the dense forest behind her. She slowly stood up and her eyes fluttered open. She could hear the sound of one person breathing nervously. Her eyes swiftly darted over her shoulder, to see a short dark figure, hidden in the shadows of the trees. She moved her left foot behind her right, and drew her sword.
Her sword was a highly rare, but strong, black steal, the hand guard was half gold on the right and the other half was silver. The handle was covered in a thick, clean, strong cloth. Two gold rods went around the cloth, twisting around each other. A strong, powerful aura came from it. It was thin, but about a yard long, making it easy to move around.
She waited a few more seconds and then, in-humanly, ran swiftly around into the forest and then stopped with a blink of and eye. She held her sword closely to an elven woman.
The elven’s right ear had a piecing at the top and two on the left top ear. The elf was young, maybe one thousand, no more then two. She looked wise and intelligent. She had on a blue like dress and long silver hair. She was about 3ft 6in, but stood up straight so she looked right at 4ft. Beside the elf’s bare feet laid a bow and a bag of arrows.
“Who hired you”, Kayame growled pressing the sword closer to the elven’s neck, to where it drew blood. The blood was thick and as black as the color of the starless night. It smelt of a field of wild flowers, and it was at the moment, at the very smell, Kayame knew she did something horrid. This was the queen of the Hindred forest; her name was Shay.
Kayame knew she was in big, no no, Huge trouble, for attacking the queen was like killing a ruler of all lands. Kayame quickly bowed lowly, sheathing her sword. Shay bowed in return; the both stood up straight once more. Kayame looked around nervously around the deep green leaves of the trees, to see if any hidden elves where there. She noticed a evil grin on Shay’s face. It gleamed in the moon light, as if she knew everything about the future. Kayame tilted her head in confusion. It took her a slit second to figure out what was going on; a split second to long. Arrows came flying at her from the trees.
The arrows were made of stone, found only near a volcano. It was soft on the outer crust, but hard as diamond on the inner shell. Most elves coat the outer crust with a deadly poison found in a plant called the Vaka. The body of the arrows were made from an old, strong, oak tree, then painted it blue with green strips. Lastly was the feathers at the end. There were two; one was a golden eagle tail feather, for honor, and a phoenix wing feather, for luck, hung side by side.
Kayame opened her palm and raised her arm up towards the arrows that came in front of her. The wind picked and leaves and dirt swirled up into the air. The arrows stopped for a second or two then turned around back at the trees and shot at them. Dead and wounded bodies of elves fell from the trees, soaking the ground and leaves in blood. Before she had time to turn around to stop the ones behind her, they stabbed her in the lower back.
Her blood was thin and ran down her body like water. It was as red as a rose, but smelt of death. The blood poured onto the ground soaking it, making a puddle. Everything that the blood touch, started to slowly die away, as if it was death it’s self.
The elves began to fall, but as more fell, more and more elves came. A cloud moved in the sky, showing the full moon. Wolves began to howl, and the elves looked about as golden eye pieced through the shadows around them. Growls began to fill the air and the elves gathered into a group.
The wolves and elves were enemies since to beginning of time. No one knows why, but people say the wolves started it. Feeding on the elves because their blood tasted rich. A war broke out because of it, and now they can’t live in peace.
A shadow swiftly jolted out, with in-human speed , killing half of them and hiding back into the shadows. Kayame couldn’t even catch a glimpse of this shadowy figure.
“Mmmmmmmmm, it seems we have another creature to feed on”, a cold voice said, making shivers go down Kayame’s back, “It also seems that she is wounded to. That would make this easier.
Kayame looked around as the dead elven bodies then into the shadows. She spreaded out her wings and flapped them, tossing her into the air. A wolf jumped out and grasped onto her foot. She was getting pulled down and her back began to bleed more, causing the blood to fall onto the wolf. The wolf howled in pain as the blood seared into the wolf’s face. He dropped off of Kayame’s leg and began to rub his face on the dirt; about three seconds later he died. Kayame looked down and shook her head. A woman stepped out into the moon light.
The woman had long brown hair, that went to her lower back, but it was put up in a high ponytail. Her eyes were a deep, bright green color. She had on a loose fitting T-shirt and jeans that had rips in each knee. She had black ears and a silver tail with a black tip. She also had pure white wolf teeth and claws that are as sharp as daggers.
“What did you do to him? Answer me”, the woman growled getting into an attack position. Kayame looked down at her with a cold glare.
“I did nothing. It killed it’s self”, Kayame said still floating in the air. The woman growled and jumped up into a tree then lunged her self at Kayame. Kayame was taken back, but she swiftly moved to the side.
“Fight me, or are you a wimp”, the woman said smirking, landing softly on the ground.
“I have not reason to fight you”, Kayame said shrugging, flapping her wings, making the dust fly around in the air, scaring the elves off. The woman looked at the scrambling elves and laughed.
“Get ‘em”, she aid and wolves took off after the elves, slashing them to pieces, making blood splatter every where, including the woman and Kayame her self. The woman acted like nothing hit her, but Kayame wiped the blood from her face. As Kayame wiped the blood from her face, the woman to the chance to attack. She jumped up and dug her claws into Kayame’s leg flesh. Kayame screamed in pain; as the blood reached the woman’s hand she let out a yelp, pulling her head out.
“You witch, what did you do to my hand”, the woman hissed holding her hand. Burn marks formed on the woman’s hand and smoked raised from it as well.
“My blood is poison to all but me” Kayame said grasping her leg and landing on the ground, folding her wing, “It would be best for you to leave me be”, she added coldly.
“Is that a threat”, the woman growled, “In case you haven’t noticed, my name is Kyoko the”.
“The leader of the west mountains”, Kayame finished for her, “I know all about you and your reputation. It’s nothing special”. The woman, Kyoko, was taken back by the insult Kayame just gave. A flash of that broke out and as it faded away as did the wolf demon who stood before her; in her place was a wolf.
The wolf was silver, except for her black ears and the tip of her long tail. Her teeth were as sharp as before, maybe even sharper. Her claws were shorter and thinker, duller as well. Her eye, now golden, burning with a fire of rage and hate.
“Ok, if you want to play that game, then I shall change as well”, Kayame said and she held out her arm and a staff appeared in her hand
“MARECOMANO,“ Kayame yelled out holding her staff high. Lightning struck her, and she disappeared in the light. A low growl came from where Kayame stood and Kyoko backed away. The lightning shot up. Kayame stood there but looked different. She had pure white hair and her eyes were blank, her dress was now a silver kimono. The wind speed picked up and Kayame grip on the staff tighten.
The staff was about six feet long with a red crystal ball on top. The staff its self was golden, made from pure gold. A strong, blue aura came from it, signaling pureness, but great power.
Kyoko growled and backed away slowly as the strong wind pounded her. Kayame walked closer to her, pointing the ball of the staff at Kyoko. Every few seconds, a powerful gust of wind shot at her, from the staff, making her slide back a few feet.
“Wench, back off now”, Kyoko growl as she closed her eyes and lowering her head, making it easier to walk up towards Kayame. The wind pushed harder and harder on Kyoko. Finally, one last, strong, gust of wind hit her and threw her into a tree, causing it to crack. Kayame walked closer, her staff pointed in front of her. The wolf turned back into a human; her moth was bleeding as was her head. Kayame sighed and with a dark glow, changed back into her normal form.
“I can’t just leave her here”, Kayame told her self. She picked Kyoko up and threw her on her back and flapped her wings, sending her high into the air.
