• Jayden watched walk down the hallway leading to the family room. His parents were always home after he got home from school. He glanced at the clock as he walked down the hall behind Vapor. In front of Vapor was Marcia, and then Debrie. It was an hour after he usually got home. He knew his parents wouldn't care. He had never felt much love for his parents, which he thought was sad. Maybe that was how Debrie wanted it to be, when he designed him. He entered the family room with the rest of the crew. Vapor and Marcia stood in front of Jayden, as if to hide him from what was about to happen. He nudged them slightly, letting them know he was prepared for what would happen. They scooted over and let him stand in between them. His parents were both standing up, wide-eyed.

Jayden's parents were muttering things, asking who these people are. He thought they were screaming his name too but he ignored them. They weren't real people. Debrie held up his hand in the air. His parents started to look like ghosts. They shrieked as they began to fade away. Within seconds two piles of ashes only remained. Debrie turned around to face Jayden. "The deed is done. We leave for the council soon. Grab everything you want to keep and then we depart." Debrie turned back to face the ashes and held out both hands. The two piles of ash merged and span around. Debrie's hands started to glow blue. The ashes had now become a red backpack. Debrie picked it up and tossed it over to Jayden. "Put everything you need in there." Jayden paced down the hallway and into his room, he was not followed.

Jayden tossed things to the floor looking for something he couldn't part with. He noticed he had no important objects that brought back memories. He had no souveniors from vacations because he had never gone on one. He had no gifts from his friends, because he never had any. This is the point where Jayden realized how pathetic of a life he had lived up until now. Now is the point his life turned around. He would go to live with the council, with people like him. He returned to Debrie with nothing in the pack. He slung the backpack over his arm and prepared to leave. "Time for your new life," Marcia said while smiling. "This portal could take a minute to open. the council's location isn't exactly open to everyone," She stated as she walked out the door to the backyard. Everyone else followed. They stood in the fenced backyard that had perfectly green and evenly cut grass. Although the yard was empty. Vapor, Jayden, and Debrie stood in a perfect line while Marcia prepared to open the portal.

She held both hands in the air and a dark purple aura surrounded her entire body. A small hole appeared and it began to widen until it became a normal size portal. She flipped around to the others. "Let's go!" She said and then jumped into the portal. Vapor ran in as well. Debrie started walking out to the portal but then turned around to face Jayden. "This is it. Where your life begins for real. This time.. I hope we keep you around for awhile." Debrie turned back around and walked into the portal. Jayden stood there for another minute thinking. He approached a few feet away from entering the portal. "Time to live," he thought. And then he entered.
