• Throughout all of Chem I kept my face hidden away from Johnny, mainly because he was annoying the crap outta me by glancing at me every five seconds.
Thankfully I had Cyndi, Mike, and Jack to keep my attention. Cyndi contacted her mother and she was, shocker, alright with me coming over. I textd my mother and she was fine with it as well and seemed to be happy that I was making friends. I started to notice that Cyndi was that type that if you gave her sugar, well watch out. I was the same way, but not really in public. Chem was the last period of the day so I was really happy when the bell rang and our teacher came back in.
"OK class. Tomorrow we will be starting up our new chapter. And don't forget about the Junior/Senior Prom. It's only in a month," he smiled and gave a thumbs up sign and we all laughed as we filed out the door.
Jack went up to Cyndi and picked her up so she was at the same eye level as him.
"Cyndi," he said. "Will you go to prom with me?" He asked it in the most sweetest way possible that Cyndi automatically said yes and hugged him. When they kissed I blushed a bit and turned away... to walk right into someone and promptly fall on my butt.
"Ohmygosh I'm so sorry," I said and looked up to see Johnny smiling down at me.
"You know you look really hot down there," he said as he reached a hand out.
"I can get my self up, thank you very much," I said as I got up. I reached down and grabbed my books and straightened my self up.
Every one stopped what they were doing to look at us, which made me blush even more.
"Easy," Johnny said, "I just wanted to ask you something."
    I raised an eyebrow.
"Do you want to go to pr-"
"No." I cut him off and turned to go to my locker before he could continue.
"Nicely done," a soft voice said to the right of me. I looked up to see Nate standing there with his hands in his pockets.
"Hi Nate," I said in a quiet voice.
"Look I know Kelsey acted really," he paused to think of a word.
    "Bitchy?" I offered.
"Yes that. But you see she's a bit touchy with new kids. Let's just say that she lived here her whole life and it took her forever to become friends with Cyndi, Mike and me when we first moved here years ago. Kelsey and Jack were friends and Jack became friends with us before she did. She'll get used to you eventually," he smiled a little bit. "I'm happy to get to talk to you Cassy, but I must go now. See you around." Before he left he gave me a hug. A light little hug but a hug all the same.
I smiled as he walked off in to the crowd and began shoving my books in my locker. I had no homework for once in my life so I had a very light backpack as I walked outside to meet Mike and Cyndi by their car.
I had some trouble finding their parking spot since I'm not used to the layout but some really nice guys helped me find the spot. Well, they were being nice because they figured that if they were nice then they could become my friend and try to ask me to prom.
Somebody's got some faaaaaans! Cyndi thought. She then said it out loud.
"No I don't," I said as my cheeks flashed a bright red again.
Yea yea don't be so modest, Mike thought.
I'm not modest. I just don't see them liking me, I shot back at him.
He snorted and coughed to cover it up in front of Cyndi You can read minds, there's nothing that gets past you.
I rolled my eyes as I got in the passenger seat because Mike insisted that I take it. Cyndi got in the drivers seat and Mike sat behind me. I'm not sure what made me more nervous, Cyndi's driving or the fact that Mike was right behind me but what I am sure about is that this isn't a small boring town anymore.
