The fall of a Murder; The Rise of Another

The light flew out towards him, merging into one on the way over. The windows all around shattered, Dark Ones smashed through. They did not stop the light as it sped off faster than the eye could see, hitting him squarely in the chest.
"Please tell me this will not be that easy." I muttered. My hopes would be forever crushed that a bad guy could be more powerful than that.
The Dark Ones that came from in the windows disapeared in puffs of smoke. Amarok laughed, on his knees.
"Eternal life fades after so many decades." He said hysterically. "Even the Master of us all couldn't even save my impending demise. But that's okay. He's more powerful than all of us times three."
His laugh choked in his throat; I raised an eyebrow as he fell onto his stomach.
"That's it?" I asked sceptically, walking over to poke his face with the edge of my sword.
"You serious?!" Kilunar said sarcastically. "You have got to be kidding me! We were afraid of someone like him?!"
"Or maybe the Light was just too much for him." I said with an evil grin. I poked him again, sheathed my sword, then waved my hand in front of the mess. "The nerve of him, trashing our castle."
One by one the broken pieces of glass floated in the air, placing themselves in their rightful place like a jigsaw puzzle.
"I think the Darkness around this place needs some lifting. Care to do the honors, brother?"
"It would be my pleasure." He said with a Vampireish smile. I laughed, wagging my finger at Amarok, making him float. His body was broken down by Dark Matter to float in millions of pieces in space.
Kilunar's body started to glow; I watched nearby, my right index finger on my cheek. The light on him shot upwards towards the sky, pushing at the Darkness. He fell to his knees and collapsed, though I caught him before he could hit his head.
"I'll need to show him how to control it someday." I said with a smile, sitting on the floor indian style. His head rested on my left thigh, and I stroked the strands of blond hair from his face as he slept, breathing gently and evenly.

    Kilunar Julien Keiko

I brushed off the dust from my sleeveless white shirt as I waited on the couch in her room. I'd been sitting in the exact same spot for who-knows how long.
"Okay, sorry for the wait!" She said from her bathroom door, stepping out to where I could see her. She clasped her hands in front of her, her arms stretched downwards. "How do I look?"
Her light brown hair was loose, flowing in waves to her hips. On her head was a golden vine tiara with an Aqua gem in the center. She wore a golden corset that tied around her neck, leaving her shoulders and the top of her back exposed. It had intricate detailwork along it, swirling and creating an illusion of waves. The corset left her bellybutton exposed, then met with a golden waistplate. It covered her waist, and the plate went down the sides of her thighs to the middle of them. She also wore golden short shorts - they were very short at that. At the back fo the golden waistplate was a long and elegant golden skirt that trailed to her heels, brushing along the floor. It had intricate vinework designs on it, like a passing wind. The skirt left the front of her legs exposed, showing a golden vinework clinging to her left thigh. At her feet were golden high heels, which stretched to her knees in elegant vinework. Her arms had on almost invisible golden silk fabric, covering her fingers completely and having the design of a golden crest at the top of the long gloves. She smiled.
"You look perfect." I told her, getting to my feet, I walked up to her. She smiled wider.
"Aww, thanks." She glanced out the window. "We should get going."
I held out my hand; she took it without hesitation.
"Like you said; We can figure out what to do next when the time comes." I smiled, leading her down the carpeted staircase.

It's been exactly two months since Amarok's been defeated - it seemed way to easy, though. But I think it's just one hole in the bend.
"Mother!" Nereza exclaimed, smiling all around as she ran up to her, embracing her.
"Nereza. You've changed so much in these past two years." She held her out at arms length. Mother was leaving the village - customary since she'd given her throne to us. We were hosting a goodbye party in her honor.
"Thanks to you." She smiled. "Everything here will be in good hands with us around. But right now, let's feast."
She sat down at the head of the table, with Mother at her right, and I at her left. The rest of the village sat along the sides.
Both Nereza and I lifted our glasses of wine.
"To an era of peace, and to our departing Mother, Amaterasu. Tonight, lets have fun for her sake." We lifted our drinks, and the rest of the table followed suit.

"I'll go talk with the others." Mother waved, and walked back inside through the patio doorway. I leaned against the railing.
"It's a little cold for July." I mused aloud. Nereza shrugged.
"I can't tell; I'm not really focusing on that." She sighed, folding her arms on the railing as well. She rested her chin on them.
"Stop worrying for a while, okay?" I asked. "Be a normal Witch-Elf-Vampire hybrid for once."
She stuck out her tongue at me.
"I can't be a normal one because I'm the first of the kind."
"One of a kind." I mused. She rolled her eyes in mock annoyance.
"Plus I have an annoying brother to top it off." She teased.
"Now that's not fair." I pouted.
"Alls fair in love and war." She grinned, and looked to the star-lit sky. "It's so pretty. It makes me feel kind of insignificant."
    "Why?"
"Because we all think we're so high and mighty, but really, we're all just puppets to this ruse called Fate." She stuck out her tongue at the sky. Right on cue, a raindrop fell onto her nose.
    "Serves you right." I grinned.
    She scowled.
    "I'm serious."
    "I know you are."
"Then be a little more considerate."
"No, I'd rather make this a little more fun, fill it with some sarcasm."
    She sighed.
"I can't ever win against you."
I smiled my Vampire smiled that always made her smile, and it worked, without fail.
    "Wise conclusion."
She rolled her eyes, but ruffled my hair. I glared at her.
"I'll attack you if you do that again." I warned with a smile. She raised an eyebrow.
"Will you go all Vampire on me?"
    "Sure as hell I will."
    She shrugged. "I'm not afraid."
"While you sleep?" I asked, grinning.
    "Now that's just creepy."
    I shrugged.
She stared out into the night, a worry creasing her eyebrows.
    "You'll miss her, won't you?"
"Don't read my mind! It's creepy."
    She sighed though, and nodded.
"I don't want to take her place; I'd rather live like a normal Hybrid - as normal as I can get - and let her rule like she's have. I'll never live up to everyones' expectations."
    I started laughing.
    "What's so funny?"
"That's the same thing I said about two years ago."
"Well, two linked minds think alike."
    I shrugged.
"True, but you won't be alone to show these people down the road of Fate."
    She kissed my cheek.
    "Thank you, Kilunar."
