• ~I grew tired of waiting alone in my closet, having uncontrollable tears rushing out for the same reasons every single day. With an overprotective, alcoholic, abusive dad, i couldnt bear it any longer. I couldn't bear to hear my mom sobbing over my dads issues, I couldn't bear to take any more blows from him ,I couldn't bear to live with the burden of knowing that i took a life without even knowing it. I couldn't bear it any longer, so i ran.

~The numbing in my legs started taking effect, i felt myself slowing down rapidly. [I have to keep going.] I thought to myself. i darted up the stairs, gasping for breathe. My eyes skimmed the bare room that i entered, the walls had a faint tone of beige, with ragged looking couches that were covered in pliable plastic looking material. Behind me i heard a muffled noise of something being shattered. [Oh no. He's coming.] I sprinted back out to the hallyway. To my right, i saw a broad looking figure ascending the stairs. The body walked in a swaying movement from side to side as a drunk would walk. Led by instinct, i ran the opposite way than of the figure.
"Marie! Marie! You get back here! Don't make me come after you!" The man's voice was ruff and uneven, it sent chills up my spine. I heard the steps behind me grow promptly. Thump. Thump. Thump. Thump-Thump. Thump. Thump-Thump. Uneven steps- to be expected of a drunk.
