• There comes a time in a girl's life where she finds herself awake but alone. As for me, I was that girl. A no-good-lost-in-my-regrets...let's face it...loser who always did what I was told, no questions asked. I stood by the cottonwood tree, only staring into the wreckless river below that seemed like bliss. I stared down at my reflection. The moon as my only beacon of light. I shivered violently as the cool breeze picked up. The skies with dawnbreak began a slight drizzle. It was as if it was only raining for me. I laid on my back as I wached the pitch black sky turned a scarlet red. The rain always seemed to paralyze my mind from any bad thoughts running aimlessly about my skull. The rain was the only prevention to my drowning in the river right then and there. It was the only thing I felt like I was living for. An owl's mystifying shriek sounded in the distance. The sun barely peaked over the tops of the mountains. I routinely took off my shoes and sock plaing them in a neat pile ontop of my clothes. My two-piece bathing suit was all I wore as I casually dipped my feet into the cool water.
