• “It's a pity, really.” Bakar said.

“Sir?” The Imp by his side asked.

Bakar sighed and leaned downwards. He drew a clawed hand across the hard, dusty, earth. “I had hoped they would be more interesting. I had hoped they would put up more of a fight.” He picked up a small rock and crushed it in his palm. “But they're weak. Just like all the others.”

“We told you they were weak. ” The Imp said. “They always have been.”

Bakar stood up and glanced at his diminutive partner. “In comparison to us, yes, but.... I did not imagine that they would be to this extent.”

Standing before the two Daemons was the battle. Daemons and humans. It was bound to happen sooner or later. The Daemons had been their slaves for decades. It was only a matter of time, and who would be the first to take it too far.

For many years the humans feared an uprising, and did their best to control the Daemons. Laying down restraints, making absurd rules, torturing and imprisoning. Experimentation. The thought angered Bakar. Their leader had insisted that they should follow the rules of the humans. He was completely oblivious to the things that were laid down upon them.

Just three years ago was when it had started. Bakar was summoned and brought before a particularly nasty human. Bakar, not wishing to anger the Daemon King, went along with the human's demands, but they put great strain on his well being. The human, the summoner, began to beat and torture him. Bakar's black Daemon blood splattered across the floor and the master. He told him he was doing his best, that he couldn't do anymore, but he didn't listen.

He couldn't take it. Filled with rage, he broke free of the human's restraints and killed the man.

When he returned to the Daemon plane, he started the uprising. He slaughtered their king, and took charge. He built their armies to the millions and charged against the humans. They never stood a chance. Many a city and country fell to their might. All turned to ash, and the skies turned black as death. The Endless Night.
