I only have been once before! It would be awesome to go again, for a couple weeks if I could. It really wasn't very expensive as far as trips go; it cost less than USA trips + hotel normally do for me. But I stayed at inexpensive places and took the local train lines instead of shinkansen so that probably made a big difference. But plane tickets have been wild the last few years gonk
So I probably can't realistically go this year anyway.

That's fair. I hadn't really thought of it that way. I've had plans related to work recently, but not really any that I am excited about for myself.
But I want to go on a nice big trip sometime this year. Maybe to Japan to see fall leaves and relax in a ryokan 3nodding
