Chapter 3 : Sweet Waka

Summer was nearing it's end. There were only three weeks left before school, and Lucas and dj used those days to play pranks on Rachel and ireana. They didn't mess with debb because she was known to tear peoples limbs. "Hurry up and finish putting that water in the balloon!" cried dj as he continued to look both ways out the kitchen window. "Almost done" I replied while adding just a bit more water. "Ray is so gonna hate you for this" dj laughed. "Ahh, she had this coming for a long time" I explained after tying the balloon and holding it up. Just then, dj jumped down from the counter.  "She's coming, she's coming!" he bellowed out loud. Lucas quickly tide the water balloon in between the kictchen doorway, then both boys rushed underneath the dinning room table to wait for there victim. "Wow! I didn't think tennis practice would be so long today" rachel whined while slinging her bags down. She whiped the sweat from her vanilla forehead, then turned to head into the kitchen. "This is it!" whisphered dj. I knodded my head. "When she comes through that door, she's gonna--" "Hello!" "Oh yes yes I will call him" "Lucas!!" "Jamie is on the phone" Rachel shouted from outside the kitchen door. "Jamie!!" Lucas got up from the hiding place. " I havnt talked to her since I got here" "Yippee!" Lucas shot thorugh the kitchen and burst open the door without thinking. (Splash!!!) "Hahaha, gotcha little brother" Rachel sneered. "You,ll pay for that" I mumbled while squeezing the water from my drenched shirt. Dj entered the living room and studied Lucas for a minute. "I told you this wouldn't work." he said while shaking his head. "Ahh, so you were in this too huh dj" Rachel smiled. "Huh!! Who me, heck no" dj quickly waved both his hands. "It was all lucas idea" he assured. "Humph, some friend you are!!" I lash out at him. Rachel turned and walked towards her bags. Pulling out one of her racks she points it at Lucas. "Say little brother, how about I show you the biggest swing I made today." she said while walking back towards him. Lucas eyes began to widen. "Dj let's get the heck outta here!!" the two of them raced out outside past rachels swing. Both boys stopped running down the street to catch there breath. "Boy that's some sister you got there." dj said as he blew his hair from his face. "Yea, but I seriously would trade for a differnt sister any day!" I shouted out loud. Lucas kicked a rock across the street as a wave caught his eye. Two girls were walking up the road tworads them. "Who the heck are they?" asked dj with one risen eye brow. "Well, that one girl right there is Brittany, but i don't know the other one" I said with a puzzled look. When the girls were close enough, Brittany called out. "So what's going on with you guys?" she asked. Dj and I just looked at each other then gulped. Brittany was close now and her braces began to reflect a shining light. "Ah nothing really" I quickly answer. Brittany rose one eye brow, then turned to her friend. "This is waka and waka this is Lucas and dj." waka gave a smile then waved. "hello" she said. dj gulped again. "H-how do you know me Brittany?" he asked. Brittany begain to laugh. "Everyone knows you dj, your the guy who can't keep his hair from his face." dj hung his head while a blush begin to form. "Any way" Brittany contiued. "Waka is from japan and blah blah blah" Lucas didn't hear the rest. "Wow, waka is like a goddess, so beautiful" he thought to himself. "Blah blah and so do you want to come with us?" asked brittany. Lucas shook the cob webs from his head. "What did you ask?"  Brittany stomped her foot. "Wern't you listening, I asked if you and dj want to go to the mall with us?" dj looked up from his blush. "Umm were kinda busy but thanks anyway." Brittany knodded her head. "Alright then I'll see y'all around." she and waka countiued past us and disappeared around the street entrance. "Why are you still frozen Lucas?" ask dj. "That waka girl was sweet like candy and yet I'd be a fool to think that shed like me." I said looking up at the clouds. "little brother!!" great baboon irena is running across the yards kawking her massive ugliness around. The beast aproached and smiled at dj "Rawr rawr hoo hoo hoo hoo rwar!!!!" English tran (So what are you guys up to?) she said while trying to get fleas from her hair by tossing it in the wind. I start to look for a stick. "Nothing much, were just chillin" dj replied while shaking his head as he watched lucas serch on the ground. "Lucas what on earth are you doing?" irena, I mean the beast asked with crossed arms. "I'm gonna count to 10 and if your still here you'll see why I'm on the ground" I quickly reply. "You think that's supose to scare me!" irena said punching her fist into her left hand. "Look just go away!" I picked up a twig and fling it into her face. "Err fine!!" irena turns and stomp away. "She just won't stop til she reuins my life." I say as me and dj turn a cornor and head down a sidewalk. "Well sisters will be sisters." dj replied with a grin. "Yeah I guess" I say in a mumble. Dj picks up a giant brown pole. "Say, this would make a nice Indian bow!" I start to laugh as he pretends to fire arrows with it. Just then, a blue jeep pulls up next to us. The tented windows roll down, and debb sticks her head out. "Hey Lucas i bought you some new school cloths, you wanna try them on now?" I jump with excitment. "Yes your highness please?" I say while falling to one knee. "Fine, hop in" says debb as she starts to adjust her sun glasses. The two boys jump into the car as debb sped the rest of the way home.
