Chapter 11~The End Pt.1~
I spent the night hidden with in the ruins of Shadows's old headquarters. Great, fantastic memories flooded in to my sleeping mind. In my slumber, I pictured a beautiful meadow with flowers reemerging from their graves. Calming breezes brushed against my hair and everyone who is fighting this war now lies among this elegant grass. Isaiha, Ferris, Austin, John, Trevor, Justin, Kyle, Corey, Zero, Liutenant Litrell, and Tsunade were there enjoying the evening in the grass. The light blue sky flooded our eyes, smiles covered the surface of our faces, and fun was striding through the air. It was just fascinating to watch. My eyes were growing with tears of joy, because I have never seen this kind of happiness and joy for all of my life. My old, dead friends were now among the living and enjoying the peace that has covered the Earth. I could care for nothing more than this perfect time and place. Nothing else mattered anymore because war was over, Imperialists didn't exist anymore, and hatred secceeded in to the darkness. Corey was walking around with Kimi, Justin and Kyle were sparring with each other, Isaiha and Ferris were screwing around with Zero, and Tsunade and Liutenant Litrell were conversing with each other. I was sitting somewhere in the distance underneath a calming, soft maple tree. What could me more better than what was going on right now? Sadly this dream would have to disperse sooner or later. I was awaken by the sounds of a motorcycle that was louder than mine by double. The first thing I saw when my eyes began to adjust to the light was my father. I began thinking that it was my real father until the dust cleared and I began see that it was just Zero. He was wearing a mask that looked like the yin yang emblem and it had a mouthpiece with a deep frown. I loved that mask but he only wore it when he rode on his motorcycle. I don't understand his reason of only wearing it then. Zero took off his mask and placed it safely on the cushioned seat. I watched him as he walked towards me with that friendly smile that he always greeted everyone with. "I knew I would find you lying here. You're a man who keeps to his word and that is why I follow you. Would you like to head back home or spend the night in grief again?" He said rubbing his left eye that had a straight scar going right through it. Usually he did this when he was really anxious. Even with his anxiety I had to shake my head with a no. "I can't leave yet. I have one more promise to uphold to Corey and I need your help, Zero." Zero shook his head in dissappointment. He was too hyper to be doing these things today. I felt kind of funny for making him do this but he nodded in response to the quest. "What exactly am I supposed to do?" Zero said with a more serious attitude. "I need you to get Tsunade, Kyle, and Justin together and take her with you." I said pointing to the boulder underneath me. Zero looked at me as if I were crazy. "No way am I lifting that huge boulder alone." He said grinning. "It isn't as heavy as it looks. It just needs alittle more strength than I have." He nodded and understood waht he was supposed to do. Zero grabbed the bottom for leverage and I pushed against it. Soon enough, the boulder gave away and toppled over and crushed the barren dirt underneath it. Zero was grinning brightly now as the trapdoor revealed itself. "How did you know that she was under here?" He asked curiously. I walked back about twenty feet and then I paused. When Zero began to watch me, I began to lift my feet in a marching position and then slammed them against the ground. A faint sound echoed and soon enough, Zero understood of what I was demonstrating. I pulled out my old desert eagle just in case some Imperialists were guarding her. Right when Zero bent down to lift up the door a scream was let loose and Zero fell down in shock. The trapdoor was opened up with a powerful burst and a woman popped out her head and her eyes narrowed on Zero. "Kimi?" Zero said in a curious way looking at me for an answer but all I did was shrug in confusion. The woman crawled out and was wearing a beat up suit and ripped up jeans. She was still holding the pipe she burst the door open with. "Who are you two and how did you figure out where I was?" She asked in an angered tone. "I am Tim Snevar and he is General Zero. Both of us serve the U.N.W. Now will you give us the pleasure of giving us your name, m'am?" I said calmly putting away my gun. She began to smile brightly and then blushed a little bit. "I am Kimi Laup and I am sorry about the pipe. I thought you two were Imperialists." She said while looking towards the ground. "Well, I have been looking for you and so has Corey. He misses you dearly and needs you terribly now. How did Corey look when you left?" I asked Zero with curiousity. He shrugged," No one knows because no one has seen him." Damn, he left before hand in a rushed search. "This doesn't interrupt the plan. Get her back to our base in Versailles and I will search for Corey. I think I have a good idea where he is by now." I said and Zero nodded in agreement. "Before you go Tim, I believe you will need this for later." He said with a smile across his face. In his hands he held the mask of Yin and Yang. I lightly touched it, and then I gripped the mask. I put it on and I felt gone. A mysterious new face now covered my old identity and gave me a new one. "Thank you. I will never forget about this." I said to Zero and I started up the engine of my motorcycle. With a wave of my hand I started off in to the direction of the sun rise. I began to have a deep thought process on my way to Corey. If I were Shadows giving Corey directions, where would I send him? I said while picturing a detailed map of France through my head. Nothing popped up in my head. No clues have lead me to know where he could have sent Corey off to. Maybe I was thinking of this all wrong. What other thing would Shadows have Corey do besides looking for his wife? Suddenly an answer popped in to my mind. I have been looking at this all wrong. I skidded to a stop on my motorcycle and waited. As I had predicted, I heard movement in the distance. It wasn't a motorcycle but something bigger and more powerful. I know what I am supposed to do now. Lifting my feet back on to the pedals of the motorcycle and rode again through the beaten road that I was riding among. While riding I looked behind me and saw a makeshift warthog chasing me in the distance. The warthog was too far away for me to visualize who was chasing me. All I knew is that the machine gun turret was manned and if the warthog got close to me I would be a dead man. I had to get somewhere that I could get the higher ground. Right when I began thinking about it, I mapped out the Verdon Gorge. It was a risky place to go but the odds were against me anywhere else. Plus, the gorge was near the direction that I was heading anyways. The ride to the gorge wasn't easy because the warthog was getting closer and was now shooting the manned turret at me. This time when I looked back I saw that there was no driver in the vehicle but an auto moving system. The man on the gun was the only person on the warthog but he was wearing a mask but his was just plain white and it was smiling with dark eye sockets. Bullets beat down on the ground to my right and left. The dirt tried blinding me but the mask prevented anything to touch my face. Now, I was at the gorge but I needed to reach the top. My plan is to get to the side of the gorge and make the warthog go over the edge. When I got to the edge I stopped my motorcycle and it made so much dirt fly in to the air. My mask was blocking my view of the warthog so I took it off and placed it in my coat pocket that was inside of the jacket. I had three shots with in the desert eagle that I had in my hands. The warthog drove extremely fast towards me and wasn't stopping because of the auto piloting system. The machine gunner was blazing the gun at me and the bullets kept getting closer and closer. When they got to me, I rolled to my right and began firing at the tires. I didn't want to kill the man in the turret placement because I wanted to know the assasin who was trying to kill me. I shot one bullet at the back right tire and one in to the back left tire. The warthog began to twist and turn but it began to loose its balance and after a few seconds it began flipping extremely fast towards my motorcycle. The man on the gun fell out of the gun placement and rolled on the ground with marks of scars and blood covering his legs and arms. A black T-shirt and a pair of jeans was nothing good to where when using such equipment. It didn't take long before the assasin got up from the ground and pointed his gun at me. I had my desert eagle pointed at him also. "If you are going to kill me then show me your face first." I said with curiousity. The assasin shook his head while moving around anxiously. "You don't have time to negotiate with me. I will shoot the mask off if you don't do it." I said grinning as I held my gun towards the mask. The assasin laughed menacingly and he slowly took off the mask. "A man's face is worth your life? Tim." The voice was recognizable but it was very dark and angered. My face crumpled in with shock as the assasin's face was revealed. It was Corey. "Come on, Tim. Why are you so shocked? Do you think this world is made out of games? All you do is use other people as 'test subjects'? Do you even care of how they feel? How I feel?" Corey said as the words slipped off of his tongue with drips of burning hate. "Today, Tim, is the day that you pay for your sins. The day that you pay for what you did to Kimi!" He said as he cocked back his gun and he looked back towards the road behind us as we both heard the other vehicles coming in closer. "She isn't dead, Corey. She is safe and sound." I said in an urging voice. "Don't lie to me anymore, Tim! I am sick of it! Shadows told me about how she was locked safely in the HQ that you destroyed! He said that your blast wiped her away from the face of the Earth! So that is what I am going to do to you!" I sat there and lowered my gun. I put the gun away and looked in to Corey's burning eyes. "Corey, I swear on my life that she is alive and if you don't trust me then fine shoot me off the edge." He looked at me and began to panick from the sound of parking vehicles. I saw everyone pile out of the vehicles. Tsunade was there in the background looking at the face off. Zero was holding on to Kimi as he came out of the truck. I shook my head and signaled no to Zero. He understood and brought her back in the truck and stayed in there with her. Corey wasn't paying attention to them so he didn't see Kimi. "Corey, after all we have been through you are going to stop trusting me now?" I asked as I moved closer to him, slowly. "Yes, Tim. I was always there for you but you were never there for me." He said as anger rose on to his face. "Alright, Corey. What about the time I called you and asked for your help? Were you there then?" Corey was speechless. He knew all about what had happened because the story I told Tsunade doesn't end there. "Corey, all I wanted you to do was be there with me. All I wanted was to protect my family. They were all I had left and you didn't even care! So don't you keep saying that I was never there for you! Atleast you have a family that you can rely on, because now if I have troubles I have no one to run back to! You were my best friend and now you don't trust me anymore?! Forget it, Corey, SHOOT ME!!" I shouted at him and he was shaking terribly. I took a great leap foward and he jumped back. "Shut up! Shut up!" Tears were streaming down his face and there were tears rolling down mine. Everyone in the background stood still with fear. Tsunade was now in the front begging for Corey and I to stop, but it was too late. I was about to test Corey for the final time. I reached towards him and he held the gun shakily to my heart. "Corey, I will never forget you." I whispered in his ear. "You are the new leader of the U.N.W. for I am not a hero but a villain. Now shoot me." With fear Corey point blank shot me in my ribs and I backed up towards the edge of the abyss behind me. My mind was moving so fast that I began to feel like a giant flame. I was holding on to my left side and with very faint hearing I heard Tsunade say no and she was crying terribly. Is this what my dream was trying to tell me? That I would die and reunite with my fallen bretheren. My eyesight began to dim and my heart raced like a speeding bullet. Fear gripped me and I froze in thought. This is the end for me and I was the one who created it. Will the world finally continue on with its fight against the dark clouds that hang over the world. All of my life I believed that only I can lead my life and I didn't believe that God was going to save me. Finally my feet tripped over the edge and I felt the air rushing underneath me. I felt a hand grab mine in hopes of trying to save me. "Tim, don't leave. I am sorry." I heard Corey say. He was right in front of me but he sounded a mile away. "I am sorry too." I said smiling even though I was sad. Even though my body was beginning to give away on me, I gathered up all of my left over strength to raise my legs up and kick him away from me and continue my fall in to the dark abyss. I didn't want to see anymore of this pain any longer so I shut my eyes and let the breeze hit hard against the back of my head. So many memories flashing through my mind, and so many friends coming and going through my head. I had become an evil man while running at the goal for peace. Now I understand what Xavior meant when he said that he had to become evil to save the world. That is the same destiny I took on but it hit me back hard and painfully. I am not leaving this world and not looking back. A new hero must rise to this cause and his name is Corey Laup. The end of me was the beginning for my best friend that stood by me even through the toughest of causes. Despite the loss of my family, he has been there to help me with whatever came about. The one person I will miss the most though is Tsunade. Her warm smile cheered me up through anything that I had trouble with. If only I had told her that I loved her, I would not be falling to my death. The best I can hope for is that they know me as the honorable villain. With the last of my strength with in my body and spirit I yelled at the top of my worn out lungs," Even in death I will fight by you!" With that I hit the surface of the water and the curtains fell to end the show.
