Prologue
A breeze rolls in to the cemetary moaning with agony. My eyes scan tombstones laid out to keep the memories of our loved ones. Just looking at the graves, I remember the past where people could live in peace without the fear of death. Now, we see death everyday with screams and blood. War has demolished a third of the world, leaving many people homeless. Most have survived off of the wildlife outside from our original environments. We don't know when the world will become a safer place. We don't know if the light will ever shine again. What we do know is that we will never stop the fight. We are the Holy Knights of the U.N.W. Justin, Kyle, Corey, Zero, Tsunade, and me, Tim Snevar, fight with every ounce of strength to create a new world, one with peace and unity. It has only been three days after the battle of Springfield and we decided to honor the graves that lie before us. We are finally able to touch the surface that was taken away from us. After the battle of Springfield, many other resistance groups came up from the mist and fought off the Imperialists. I shake my head to disperse the thoughts of evil, but to honor this moment to take a look at a dear friend. This friend of mine had become the thing he hates, a dictator, in order to create "peace". This man is, Xavior Skar. Only I have seen his last words that were written on a parchment of paper. With his last words, I promised to myself that I wouldn't let him down. His ideals had changed my own, but some of them were corrupted with darkness. I hold in my hand seven black roses and each of them holds a deadly sin. Every day is beginning to drag me around with chains. He was my hero and now he is dead. My brown eyes created a furrow while looking at his tombstone. I thought to myself," His death has made him a hero, but he was the villain. The irony." I chuckled lightly, but I still remembered the porpose of why I was here. My hands clenched tightly on the seven roses, making cuts on the palms. Blood dripped silently on to the cold dirt. A tear was let loose from my eyes which made a splash of sorrow on to the dirt. I kneeled down with my head bent downwards. I whispered to my dead friend," Unlike you my friend, death will not stop me." Afterwards, I turned my head to face Tsunade watching me. Her dark purple hair hung down to her shoulders. She had dressed in a special way for this occassion with a black top and black skirt that went down to her knees. In her light blue eyes, I noticed a tear stranded. I got up and shook my head for her to stop. "If you think I am going to cry again, you can go home now." I laughed lightly towards them. Justin and Kyle were both nodding lightly. Corey, on the other hand, stared down at the tombstones beneath him. Each of them was one of our fallen comrades, who died in the battle of Springfield. Trevor, Austin, and John were the ones who got murdered during that deadly time. They were also apart of the Holy Knights, who had fought along side us during our reigning victories over the Empire of Peace, A.K.A. the EP. I walked over to my disappointed friend with sympathy. A hand I placed on to his right shoulder. "You know that they did their part to create this country. They remain in happiness. You know, heaven." I said hoping he forgot that I didn't believe a God was up there. "Tim, I know you're trying to help me, but you said it yourself that there is no God. If there was, he would have saved us by now." Corey said with no life held with in his voice. I looked around for his wife, Kimi, so that she could cheer him up. I found her by Tsunade conversing with each other. My eyes rolled around once, then I moved over to her. She had short blonde hair, eyes that glittered like the ocean, but a voice irritating to me. I only say this because me and her don't get on the same terms often. She is more of the fun type than serious. I gained enough courage to speak with her shortly. Worst part is, she noticed me first. "I feel sorry for your..........friend." She tried to say without hesitation, but he was known for many evil deeds that his good ones had vanished. "Yeah, thanks, but I need you to worry moe about Corey. Lately, he just hasn't been himself and I need my friend to return to normal. Please." I told her and she nodded. Kimi began to stride to her husband in his time of need. Noticing the pain around me, made my mind realize that this world needed a hero. I guess they just have to stick with us.
Chapter 1~The Hills are Blazing~
Two months later, I sit in my living room that works as an office for me. A desk lies to the northeastern corner of the room and a lamp is to the opposite corner of my desk. Many battleplans have been formed with in this area, but many are vetoed by my companions. Lately, I haven't come up with anything to use against the Imperialists. The Imperial Military Commander, General Shadows, has been on my mind, too. Most of the time, I invite Zero to help me prepare a plan, except he has also run out of ideas. He says to me that all I can do is await for a chance to strike like an eagle waits to strike down its prey. My response to him is quite simple. "You are correct, this is why they are extinct." I fear that the longer that we wait for our chance, the more people die. The death toll has risen to a hundred thousand a week, but that was placed a year ago. I hear the doorbell ring loudly against my ear, disrupting the thoughts that brewed in my mind. It was strange for me to get visitors at this hour of day. This could only mean one of two things. One, someone was in dire need of emergency or an odd visitor awaits me at the door. Either way, I got up from my untidy desk and moved slowly to the door. The visitor rung the doorbell once more with a rush. Something strange was stirring in my mind, but I ignored it for I was too tired to mess with a petiful matter. Once I got to the door, I placed a firm grip around the handle and twisted it gently. It opened up slowly, revealing a tall black figure. The figure stood without movement as I tried to adjust my eyes to the radiant light. At first, I thought it was an agent for Shadows, but when my eyes looked at it longer, it was General Zero. This was the brave man that led the attack on Springfield while the Holy Knights raided Xavior Skar's headquarters.
