Quote: The Gilded Encore Flyers had been placed over the past month, hinting at something exciting coming to the music scene nearer to the outer edge of Destiny City University’s campus. An unassuming building had been recently renovated and was close enough for students to travel to while not being out of the way for others. Twisting patterns of golden music notes crept over the exterior of the building which glowed brightly when the sun set each night. The rest of the exterior was simple, something you would see in any large venue or concert hall with old brick and dark awnings to keep patrons dry during inclement weather. Stepping inside leaves you feeling transported to the past, to when passwords were needed to enter and secrecy was needed if alcohol was to be had. The stage and main seating area were elegant dark wood with gold inlays, and dim lighting underneath to provide some help moving around when the rest of the main lights dimmed during a show. The main stage and its acoustics were designed for a wide range of singers and almost any genre of music. While most of the performers and artists are well known, the Gilded Encore offers opportunities in the form of open mic nights once a month for all to participate. A second, central floating stage can be moved for special occasions to the center of the floor and provides additional opportunities for those soloist singers who want center stage. No matter the occasion, the artists performing have a stage fitting for them and the utmost respect for their skills. While the stage and themed side rooms are nothing to scoff at, the Gilded Encore features an award-winning bar and full menu that rotates with the seasons. The bar has an array of snacks, full entrees, and drinks, including a diverse alcohol-free selection to accommodate all visitors. The Gilded Encore was ready to open, with lines standing beneath the awning. The flyers that had been set up provided the codeword that would allow for the cover to be waived. IDs were checked and those who were of drinking age were provided a stamp that at first appeared to be invisible but would glow under the small blacklight at the bar itself. Those who were below 18 got a stamp in the shape of a musical note on the back of their hand, which was visible in any lighting. The menu for tonight was focused on the roaring 20s with discounts and pricing matching the time period for the opening event. The kitchen and bar were busy with staff seeming to appear and disappear as if there were trap doors or passageways they could get through without disturbing the main floor. On stage tonight were singers who looked like they stepped right out of one of the classics, sharp suits and shimmering dresses that caught the stage lights and brought attention as the show went on. There were multiple performances lined up for the night so people could get a bit of variety as things went on. If the music was too loud or patrons wanted to eat dinner with a bit more privacy, various private rooms continued and expanded on the speakeasy theme. Orders could be placed and then delivered to the private room of your choice. In some of the private rooms photos with plaques explaining the history of the space as well as the evolution of music throughout the decades hang with museum-type lighting. Other rooms have bookshelves with a wide variety of things to read if anyone would like to. Each of the rooms has a small interactive menu that is disguised like an older TV where additional things can be added to your tab as well. There was a space for all types of people to have fun and feel like they were living the high life. Chalcanthite and Aoede offered the information out via tablets beforehand, offering the opportunity to join this event either as a guest, employee, or gatherer. Though the goals for each were different there was plenty to be gained by those who helped. The pin was a small thing–a gold treble clef with a blue gemstone inlaid near the bottom. It’s stylized to fit the time period of the venue. Pins were given out before the opening to all those interested in visiting or working at the venue, it wouldn’t do to have the wrong people drained, would it? Keeping the cups circulating and an ear out for any useful information would be the goals for behind the scenes but overall the hope was that everyone would also enjoy the new venue and everything it could bring. Quote: The Gilded Encore is now open! All characters capable of putting on a civilian glamour are capable of participating in this RP, however only Negaverse characters can participate in the dice rolling game. This roleplay will count as a regular; there are no battle elements involved. For non-Negaverse characters: All civilians that acquire a drink receive them in custom reusable cups branded with the venue’s theming and name. A small dimly glowing light rests at the base of each cup. The lights act as NFC tokens to add to an open tab. After some time, the light will begin to change color from gold to blue. Unknown to civilians, this means that it has capped out on how much energy has been drained. Anyone with a gold cup may be feeling slightly tired, but there are caffeinated drinks and menus at the bar! To encourage customers to return their cups, a tab requires their card to be left behind the bar. No one can be drained to unconsciousness, but they may feel tired and want to leave after a bit. 21+ characters will have a stamp, minors will not; minors cannot get alcoholic beverages from the lounge. For Negaverse characters: The Treble Clef pins protect against energy draining so make sure you don’t take it off. Negaverse characters (including half-youma, youma, and Mauvians) must spend their evening looking for cups that slipped through the return system and offering customers complimentary cups of water or iced coffee during happy hour. There are large bins in the back to deposit the small disks from the bottom of the cups; these are being transported out to be handled by various members of both the Intelligence and Infiltration branch who will bring them to be harvested in the Dark Kingdom. Known to the Negaverse, but not their guests, the glow disks will turn blue when they have capped out on the amount of energy they can gather. This is an easy visual sign so they can know who to approach to swap out new cups or direct the customer to get a fresh refill of their drink. Characters may all have their specific way of gathering these cups, either by approaching people as a generous guest, or as a staff member (bartender, security, janitor, host, chef, etc), or maybe even just someone picking them up off the ground or stealing them. Your character can do this however they want, as long as they are collecting the blue glowing cups and getting new ones out to continue the draining process. To gather cup lights, Negaverse players must roll 1d10 across 5 posts. A minimum of 100 words must be written in each post. You cannot write 500 words and roll 5 times in a single post. You can only roll five times in total but you can continue to RP outside of dice rolls. All posts must be filled out before Friday, January 24th when dice rolling closes or they will be considered invalid. There should be no deleting posts or reserving dice rolls in this ORP. Players can roll at their leisure so please take your time and enjoy the week! You do not have to roleplay your character actually collecting cups on screen, or based on your dice rolls. Your dice rolls simply indicate the total collected throughout the evening. Your posts should be RP based and the dice do not have any impact in how you choose to play them. You can roleplay your character interacting with anyone you like, or just observing the scene while they work; just have fun! When posting, all players should include the following at the top of their posts: Character Name: (and a link to their journal) Location: (Bar, Main Stage Vicinity, Private Room, Bathroom, Lobby, Staff Hidden Hallways) Dice Roll: (Negaverse only; include all rolls here and separate them with a comma; you do not need to tally them) If you are a Negaverse agent and write 500 words by the end of this roleplay, you will be eligible for IC rewards to be released at the end of the event, including the chance to earn a medal.
The dice rolling portion of this ORP will close on January 20th at about 6PM EST, but RP will be open until January 22nd when I will write a close. Rewards will be given out at that time. ICly, this event takes place on the evening of Friday, January 24th. Any questions OOC can be yeeted at me on discord (maisiegreene) and if your character interacts with anything bold it and feel free to quote Sara Draconia for more information ^^ Loose Central Area Floor Plan

Character Name: Aloysius Sharp (General Chalcanthite)Location: Staff Hallways Dice Roll: N/A Pins and information had been distributed to his team first, making sure that they had an understanding of the layout as well as the general idea of attire for the venue. It wasn't something he had to worry about from his sister or his mauvian, given they both had taken part in the behind-the-scenes part of this whole place. Adjusting his tie while moving things along the back hallways, stacks of cups were ready to grab as well as various bins to put the spend discs in. A lot of prep work had gone into things both on his side as well as Melody's. The decorations and furniture had all been picked to fit the time period and theme of the place, not a single expense had been spared and he'd taken input from other venue hosts to get an idea of things that would work in the city for a longer period of time. The back halls had just enough noise dampening so that people could hear each other while moving between the bar, private rooms, and other parts of the venue all without having to bump into or interact with the customers. In his opinion the fewer eyes on the back end, the better. In one of the back rooms, behind a locked door, sat a box of extra pins for those who needed to pick them up here tonight and check-in. Everyone would be welcome but he did want to make sure nobody got too rowdy, it had to run smoothly of course. Anything less than perfect wouldn't do well for the Sharps or the Negaverse. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Character Name: Melody Sharp (Eternal Corrupt Aoede)Location: Lobby Dice Roll: N/A Strings of golden music notes hung decorating the wall alongside the lineup of musicians and singers for the evening. It was a modest enough start in her opinion, something that would improve in time as more people heard of this place. There was so much more she wanted to do with the layout, so many new opportunities to bring people in and garner a bit more positive attention. Tonight she had gone with a dress that she felt fit both the theme she wanted to go for while not feeling too terribly modern. It was her job to socialize and measure up any problems before they got out of control. At least it gave her lots of time to enjoy the music and see how people took in this new venue. With any luck she hoped to overhear any things people might want to see from the venue in the future. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Character Name: Desiree Location: Bar Area Dice Roll: N/A Doing some final tests on the PoS system and the tracker for the discs, Desiree was kneeling behind the bar in her civilian disguise again. It wouldn't be easy to explain how a cat got into such a venue. It gave her an excuse to steal one of Aloysius's ties though so she didn't mind and had spent some time setting up an outfit that she felt fit an older time period. She wasn't one for dresses or jewels so she stuck to something more akin to that of an academic or postal boy. Once she was sure everything looked like it was in working order, she swung around to the other side of the bar and took a seat at one of the stools. They may have been designed to look old but they were more comfortable than what she normally sat on while working on things. It was her job to check in with Aloysius's team while they were on the front end and she'd been told to avoid the lobby. It was something she would have pushed when Aloysius had told her about it but she knew that the lobby being off-limits for her meant the other Sharp would be there and each of them had to stay in their corners so she didn't start a fight with the woman. Character Name: Naoko "Noa" Sugimoto(Captain Saleeite)Location: Main Stage Vicinity Dice Roll: 9 Wow...She couldn't believe that she would be working here in the future.
Noa adjusted the pretty pin on her dress, walking around tables to conversate with patrons while taking drinks for refills. It helped that she was a socialite at heart with a background in customer service, giving the gentleman she was talking to a kind smile. Of course she cared about how 'on brand' her outfit was for the grand opening. She wanted to make sure her boss would be proud of her, not...Embarrassed. As much as she had no shame, whenever it came to Chal, she felt the need to keep some of herself at bay for his sake. Giving him a heart attack was never on her list of things to do no matter how rowdy she could be sometimes. Becoming Saleeite was something that only added onto her usual chaotic self, and it was hard to maintain sometimes.
She took the gentleman's empty glass with the promise to come back with more, unable to keep track of how many cups she has collected so far. Either way, this was genius in terms of gathering energy. Honestly, she had to ask Chal how he and his...Sister? Or at least they looked like they would be related, came up with the idea. Of course she tried to make sure she didn't....Flirt too much with the given company (she couldn't help herself, that was just a part of her personality), that way she could focus on the task at hand.
But it wasnt like she couldn't have any fun while she helped out.
Her thoughts did wander back to her other half, but she figured the big guy would be fine all things considering. She came back to the kind gentleman she was talking to before, giving him his drink with a playful wink and a promise to come back to check up on him before moving onto the next table that had a blue disk, ever the helpful host that she was.
This was so much fun, also easier than what she would usually do as Saleeite.Sara Draconia Saleeite Reporting for duty! Everyone Feel free to approach Saleeite~ She is open for roleplay!

Character Name: Rowan Trumoia Location: Main Stage Vicinity It had taken an embarrassingly long time for her to decide upon an outfit, weighing the options between sensibility for the weather and a look she would enjoy wearing. She opted for slightly less than practical for the cold, deciding to take the gamble on finding a close, or close enough, parking space. She’d decided on a dark blue cocktail dress with pale gold stars under a long-sleeved black bolero and over sheer black tights. The stars, of course, were the perfect shade to match her nail polish. She was glad that she’d chosen the dark blue. It was too late in the evening for her favorite pale blue, after all and felt too early in the season for the sunny yellow she loved, but at least she could still wear her favorite pair of tall black heels. (They wouldn’t look right with the paler colors anyway). As she waited in the line, Rowan absentmindedly smoothed her hands over her skirt. It felt like ages since she’d last allowed herself an evening to relax, and the flyers around town were enough to pique her interest. She'd asked Halia to come with her and was looking forward to seeing her new friend. As she approached the front of the line, she fumbled for her ID in the small clutch she’d brought with her before holding it out for the bouncer to inspect, receiving a stamp on the back of her hand in return. Rowan wasn’t much of a drinker, so she decided to have maybe one cocktail, something sweet, before switching to something softer. She smiled shyly as she approached the bar, “One strawberry daiquiri, please.” She showed them the stamp on the back of her hand and exchanged her debit card for the cup. “Thank you.” Sipping her drink, Rowan made her way toward the main stage area in the hopes of finding a decent seat. Halia had let her know that she was running late, so she wanted to make sure that she knew where to find her. She quickly pulled out her phone and typed out a message, "I'm near the main stage, see you soon!"Quote: Rowan is shy, but eager to make new friends and very open to roleplay. Feel free to approach her.

Character Name: America Jhones / BrassiteLocation: Lobby Dice Roll: 6 As the place opened for the evening, America adjusted the cuffs, vest, and bowtie of her chosen uniform for the evening. A uniform hadn’t really been required for her role here, but she was a pretty strong proponent of when you’re at work, everything you wear is a uniform of sorts. Plus, she figured that making sure people realized she was a member of the staff, they might not give her The Eye for her age or try to get fresh thinking she was in need of a date. So she went out looking tidy, dapper, and professional. The last of which was clear in the authoritative snap of her step as she strode toward the lobby. This was her boss’s project after all. This was their establishment to make sure took off successfully and put Chalcanthite’s fingers firmly on the pulse of the Destiny City nightlife. Looking around the area, she saw the hot lady version of Chalc standing around being hot. Too bad she was a little on the old side, otherwise she was absolutely Spring Girlfriend material. Still, hottie should recognize hottie, so she shot the woman with a wink and a fingergun. "Hey there, Miss Melody!"

Character Name: Sanaa Akinjide/ Corrupted Sailor PandabearLocation: Lobby Dice Roll: N/A The soft hum of music and the gentle murmur of conversations spilled out onto the street as Sanaa stepped up to The Gilded Encore’s entrance. The warm glow of the venue’s lights felt inviting against the chilly evening air, and Sanaa hesitated for just a moment, tugging at the sleeve of her vintage-inspired jacket. She glanced at her reflection in one of the nearby windows. She had chosen the outfit carefully—an understated yet elegant nod to the Roaring Twenties theme. The asymmetrical hem of her dress swayed slightly as she took a deep breath and stepped forward, her heels clicking softly against the pavement. After presenting her ID to the bouncer and receiving her golden hand stamp, Sanaa found herself clutching her small purse a little too tightly as she entered the venue. The room was alive with energy—laughter, clinking glasses, and a band on stage setting the perfect ambiance. She had been drawn to this place by the flyers scattered around the city, hoping it might offer an escape from the loneliness that came with being new in town.

Character Name: Alexandre Evans (General Benitoite)Location: Main Stage Vicinity Dice roll: 8 Serving people drinks and food wasn't something he'd ever done before, and never would have seen himself doing, but things changed and with it so too did expectations. If this had been a fall from grace, either his own or his families, that would be a problem but it was nothing of the sort. This was a simple job which was bound in duty, so it was no job he'd undertaken due to monetary needs. Thankfully Aloysius had been thinking ahead, which wasn't a surprise, as had his sister and everyone had time to purchase attaire which fit the time period of this establishment.
He'd dressed impeccably for the setting and was milling about the tables dropping off orders and gathering up cups so he could get people their refills. He wasn't a natural at this, not by a long shot, but he was doing his best to take down orders and balance a tray full of cups with some being full. Tipping his cap, with his free hand, he thanked a woman for the compliment to his tie pin - it was one which staff wore so they could find each other amongst the crowd. It was a very generous gift from their bosses.
There were some people he knew here, several in fact, so when he was questioned he let them know that he was simply helping family friends who were doing his family a favor so he was helping them on their big night. Let people think that, especially those who liked to stick their noses where they did not belong.
Weaving his way towards the bar to drop off the empty cups he had, in order to get them refilled, he stood there waiting for Rene to get the drink orders for him. Leaning across the bar, as much as his height would allow, he smiled up at the other. "That one who's daughter tried to flirt with you at the last social event is here, her and her husband, you might wish to avoid them if you spot them heading up here." He would do his best in keeping them at their tables, by making sure they were topped up on their drinks and had whatever else they needed, tonight was his night to serve others.

Character Name: Liam BlackwoodLocation: Heading to Brassite and Melody. Being as close as he was to all three who were behind this plot allowed Liam some advantage over every other civilian here, at least thsoe civilians who weren't in the Negaverse, but he couldn't take advatange of that knowledge too much. He knew this was an energy gathering plot, and he certainly approved of the idea, and while he wouldn't mind avoiding being drained he knew that was utterly impossible and he'd argued his fiance over coming here because of that. Liam couldn't avoid it, because he couldn't avoid having at least something to drink, and Aloysius couldn't give him a pin to protect him and keep him from donating his energy to the Negaverse. He'd had to remind his partner that it was only a little energy and he'd be fine, Aloysius would just drive them both home at the end of the night, it wasn't a big deal to him - at least he knew it was happening.
That was why he was here and heading towards his partners youngest team member and Melody, his actual boss. Coming up behind the teenager Liam let a hand fall onto her shoulder gently. "If anyone starts with you tonight, anyone makes you uncomfortable,.. let me know." He'd make sure she was safe tonight, since his partner was in the back room, and this was a civilian thing. Liam would step in if need be to keep her safe tonight.
Turning his blue eyes onto Melody he nodded his head once, rather than yell over the crowd to greet her. Tonight was her night, hers and his fiance's and even Dessire's. This was something they'd all worked on for so long and he'd needed to be here to see it all. He just hoped the music was good...he didn't think he could handle people up on stage being out of tune, he'd just hope Melody had done well in picking performers for tonight.

Character Name: Kioshi Amamiya (eternal corrupt Miyamoto)Location: On the back helping with dishes. Dice roll: Having the next day off work was a blessing for him, it allowed him this night to work on gathering energy, because he wouldn't need to be u p early and going into the studio to draw and ink people and deal with the usual stresses of having a job which required him to deal with people and socalize in ways he normally wouldn't. That wasn't to say he wasn't socalizing here, he was, but it wasn't the same. With the loop earbuds in, to block some of the noise, Kioshi had been keeping to the back areas as much as he could in order to avoid a lot of the noise.
The suit and dress pants stood out on Kioshi, though they were fitted to him nicely, the pin stripping however seemed to be something he would do if he needed to wear a suit. It was a statement of sorts and wasn't some simple solid color, the tie he'd borrowed from Lorcan was the single bit of solid color aside from the white button up he wore under the suit. The dark red bit of fabric stood out, it being nearly the color of blood, Kioshi might not be going out amongst the people much but he was keeping to the theme regardless. This was, he supposed, a test run for the clothing because he had seen a flyer for a victorian themed hotel in the city and a murder mystery game they were hosting in a few days time. He was planning to go, he'd texted Lorcan about it earlier when he'd seen the flyer, asking if they'd like to go as well. It seemed interesting and it wasn't some silly little game. It was one which took thought and problem solvering skills, he wanted to test his skills. The hotel being themed as it was insisted that people participating also come in period clothing, to assume the roles they would have as much as possible.
Setting another group of glasses into the industrial dishwasher, they had a healthy supply of glasses for this place, he took a moment to glance baout before closing the dishwasher. There was still space for more glasses, and other dishes, before he'd turn it on and get the load started. Speaking of which...another load was finishing in the other dishwasher.

Character Name: Idirian Caine || Lieutenant PolariteLocation: Lobby Doors Dice Roll: 7 After checking in with Chal and picking up his blue and gold treble clef pin, Idirian had taken up a security type role. He took a position at the front doors, helping to check IDs and give incoming guests the appropriate stamp for their age. He also mentioned to everyone that came in to make sure they took advantage of the discounted and complimentary drinks. Those discs were a genius little tool, and this place seemed like it would be popular enough that the discs would bring in more energy than the Negaverse could keep up with. Perfect. The theme for tonight was Roaring 20's and he had let Noa (with the help of Ainsley) talk him into dressing to fit. Which meant he looked and felt like a mob boss. Noa had gone for a gorgeous flapper outfit with her usual gothic flair, and his brain had supplied him with a couple roleplay scenarios already... Later, though. They needed to focus while they were here. Noa and Ainsley both had suggested he take a security role due to his intimidating appearance and ability to keep trouble at bay. In a little while he would see if he could take a break to find Noa, but he was sure she was having a ball inside. Thinking of his girlfriend made him smile a little as he continued to let people in. Character Name: Shannon Mccord (Captain Strengite)Location: Bar Dice Roll: 8 She smiled and laughed with her companion. She had no idea what he was talking about, she had tuned out a while ago, but he was enjoying the attention and that was why she was there. Shannon flirted with him some more, leading him into conversing more about himself since men of this caliber loved to talk about themselves. "I can't believe they decided to go with the Roaring twenties. Its like something out of a movie. It's great." The man said quite jovially Shannon just smiled and agreed, her current mark was having fun filling her in on how bespoke his suit was and how he had added little glittery additions like his tie pin and cuff links. Meanwhile she sipped her martini and nodded along, her own dress was something she got off a rack some years ago. A flapper dress, one with all the fringe. It flowed beautifully, add in the feathered headdress and some 'pearls' and she fit in with all the other dressed to impress people. Her little treble clef pin was hidden among the fringe and sequins. "Oh, it looks like your in need of a new drink. Perfect timing," She commented as she finished her drink. The guy's cup had shifted from gold to blue just as he took the last few swallows. "Here, let me. My treat." While she wasn't a big fan for shelling out money for his drink, it was an expectable trade for the cup, and the energy it represented. With her prize in hand she headed over to the bar, ready to switch out both drinks with fresh ones, her silver eyes already roving over the area to look for her new target. She was determined to actually preform well at this little operation, one way or another.

Character Name: NATANIEL KHELLASATI (General Rakovanite) Location: Main Stage Vicinity Dice Roll: 3
"No Basyl tonight?"
Nataniel glanced up from where he'd been staring down into his cup of iced tea, looking at it with such an intensity that one might've assumed he found a fly in it, or something. He hadn't, of course. Looked fine. Tasted fine. Nothing out of the ordinary to him, though that wouldn't be true for everyone, would it?
He hadn't been here for more than a few minutes, just long enough to get his drink and inspect the favored tool of the new establishment. Functionally not much different than the glow sticks, but he supposed this venue was centered around a different clientele than the club that had introduced similar technology. Both were somewhat stressful environments for him without a proper balm to dull the worst of the overbearing sensations, but since Basyl wasn't here to monitor his alcohol intake this time... Tea only.
It didn't get better. Ellian had appeared next to him at some point, an additional stressor that Nataniel had anticipated, but didn't necessarily appreciate. His brother had probably just arrived- and was waiting on someone he was more interested in engaging with to make an appearance, Nataniel was sure. "Ah. No," he answered stiffly. "It is better for Basyl to avoid these kinds of events, I think. He is tired enough already."
Even if the first time had been fine, there was no reason to go seeking any additional points of contention between them. Nataniel didn't make a secret of where he was and what he was doing, and of course his partner knew who he was...
It was just smoother to separate 'Nataniel' and 'Rakovanite' when convenient.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Character Name: ELLIAN KHELLASATI (Corrupt Super Diesel) Location: Main Stage Vicinity Dice Roll: 2
"Eh, he's squandering an opportunity if you ask me," Ellian clucked his tongue with a little shrug.
The room wasn't so loud that he missed the muttered retort of, 'No one asked you.'
But he would pretend he hadn't heard it and press on, anyway! "Y'all are too young to have boring old people hobbies, like- You even look boring. You could've gone with any themed fit and you chose... nothing, huh." While Nataniel was simply wearing a dark button up with rolled sleeves and slacks, Ellian had selected something appropriately sequined and fitted with many flittering tassels- almost certainly meant for a woman. "Do you ever go out and be social? Me and Gid are out two or three times a week? And for more than just work, I mean. That's how people have healthy relationships."
No one in his life had ever sent Ellian such a withering look as the one he received right then. And it was no stretch of his imagination to figure that Nataniel absolutely would not be up to taking any sort of relationship advice from Ellian.
But look. Maybe he should? Because Ellian and Gideon didn't have these weird little Morality Spats that Nataniel and Basyl did, and if Ellian had to guess, it was probably because they did things together that were just for fun. Not that this was one of those times, but even if it wasn't that didn't mean it couldn't be enjoyable!
"Gideon is going to come over from work. He'll be here soon, I bet."

Character Name: JANUARY BLOOM (Half-Youma Captain Janggunite) Location: Bar Dice Roll: 4
January sat at the bar, tapping a long and manicured fingernail against the bottom edge of a glass half-full of tequila sunrise. As always, he was conflicted: it was good to be out and about, like, mentally. It was good for him, whether he wanted to admit it or not (and whether he enjoyed it or not). The question was mostly if this had really been the right... setting.
It was essentially a work event for him, which gave him an excuse to say yes, this is obviously the right setting, thanks.
But there were conditions, little boxes that he had to check off before he dared venture somewhere so populated and chaotic, and oh, he absolutely had to keep himself together under these circumstances. Half of his anxiety was just from a fear of his own inability and uncertainty, and not necessarily for the exact consequences of failure.
So now it was just a matter of being patient.
January absolutely wouldn't have come alone. Even for the 'right cause,' he wouldn't have put himself through the stress and ever-potential chance of snapping on someone just because- But Eagun had agreed to be his companion and chaperone and never mind what he felt about being a grown man needing a chaperone for the evening.
They weren't close by any stretch, and had only met a few times.
But literally any stray body that he knew the name of, and knew who what he was, and could help keep tabs on the time and his surroundings made January feel just just a little bit more at ease. If only he would get here. Maybe January should've waited outside...

Character Name: WARREN SIEVERS (Half-Youma Lieutenant Magnesia) Location: Bar Dice Roll: 6
From his place in the corner, standing off to the side so as not to draw attention to himself or get in anyone's way, Warren sighed wistfully after a fruity bright red cocktail being slid from the bartender's fingers and into the waiting hand of a girl in a shimmery and dazzling white dress.
He wasn't quite old enough to legally participate in all the venue's offerings, but... well, whatever. That was probably for the best, since he'd decided to forgo the opportunity for pure socialization and had signed up to actually work. Bitches need money, aight? And given where he was and the- uh- particular situation of his physical form, he probably shouldn't risk what might happen if he were to shed too many of his senses. He was disappointed, sure, but as always, he'd get over it.
The sights were worth seeing with a clear head, anyway.
The venue was ritzier than probably just about any place the likes of him had ever set foot before, and the theme felt a bit over the top to his untrained eye. Snazzy suits and glittering dresses as far as his eye could see. Music too tasteful for his preference. A menu with items he'd never heard of.
Call him low class, but this whole event was pretty far out of Warren's scope, anyway.
Since he'd agreed to play something of clean up crew, his own attire was formal, but hardly eye-catching- and even then, it was still probably some of the nicest clothes he owned, excepting his Negaverse uniform, maybe. But that was fine too. No one really needed to notice him as he scuttled around the edges of the room, collecting discarded cups and debris.
Quote: Would love for anyone to hit him up if they want! <3

Character Name: Emilia Asher (General Jadarite) Location: Bar Dice Roll: 3 Emilia did, any other failures aside, find it nearly effortless to bled into the crowd at these kinds of party. Maybe part of the appeal was the the fact that she could dress up. She'd gone shopping to fit the theme. She had the black tassled dress, the short pumps, and the glittering headband with a classy amount of jewels and feathers. Another part of the appeal here was the fact that she could perhaps be one of the top energy gatherers again. She swayed to the music, but was careful not to lose herself in it. In her own cup was plain water. There was a time and a place for fancy cocktails. Numbing her mind while she worked was not one of those times. She kept an eye out for fellow agents as she made the rounds, politely offering to throw away empty cups for some of the guests.

Character Name: Sakura Gojo, Corrupt Sailor AkoLocation: Lobby Dice Roll: 3 Sakura looked around, watching the attendees as they filtered in. The only people she was familiar with so far were Des, Aloy and Liam, but she knew that others of the team she had joined would be here. She felt almost out of place, not usually one for dresses or fancy clothing like some of the staff here, but she had dolled herself up to the best of her abilities, done hair nails and makeup, and strode confidently through the venue, glancing down to make sure the delicate little pin was in place. She spotted a small gathering of people and smiled, feeling herself relax as she approached Liam. "Fancy seeing you here." She smiled warmly at him after glancing curiously at a woman who looked to definitely be related to Aloy. She hadn't met her before, but judging off appearance alone, she definitely thought the woman before her was Melody. While she didn't know all of the details, she knew that there was some serious tension between her and Aloy and that it would likely be a very smart idea to tread carefully. Sakura turned her attention to the woman and smiled, deciding to be as polite as humanly possible. "Hello there, I don't believe I've had the pleasure of meeting you before. I'm Sakura."

Character Name: Halia Westfein / Sailor ArunaLocation: Main stage Halia didn't do large parties or gatherings. She had never felt comfortable and always felt on edge. But when Rowan asked her to go with her, she agreed without hesitation, always eager to people please regardless of who it was. Having left her wallet at her work, she had told Rowan to go on ahead without her and would meet her there. Coming into the venue a little after her friend, Halia looked around anxiously to spot her. She felt wildly out of place in a tea length long blue dress with glittering stars on it, low heels matching in a deep blue. Rowan had been kind enough to do her hair and makeup, and while she knew her friend had done a great job, the bandages on her shoulder, arm, and ribs still were visible through the sheer fabric on her arms. She felt exposed and understandably on edge, though she had yet to tell her friend exactly what the cause of her wounds were other than 's**t hit the fan'. Upon finally spotting her friend, Halia quickly made her way over, smiling tiredly. "Sorry it took me so long. My wallet did not want to be found, apparently."Quote: Halia is very out of her element like this but feel free to interact!
