It was still fairly early in the evening: late enough that school was out and most people would be home from their jobs, but early enough that it wasn't time to start settling in for the night. The buffet had opened about twenty minutes ago and all members of the Negaverse had been invited to join. There were plenty of tables and seats for everyone, even if it meant sitting with strangers. But what better time to get to know your allies than when the Queen had sent out a notification that she was going to have a dinner party to coincide with her upcoming announcement? She had been around when the party first started, and though she hadn't made a plate for herself she had still passed through the crowd and made small talk. She had disappeared only recently but with a promise to return. Some of the General Sovereigns were in attendance but many of them seemed in good spirits. Lepidolite was loudly making rounds and socializing with anyone who had an ear to share. Hessonite was taking pictures on a polaroid and passing them out. Axinite was trying to sneak onto his tablet as often as he could to finish typing something but he seemed like he was trying to avoid detection while doing so. Whatever announcement was meant for tonight clearly wasn’t something worth worrying about. How could it be something bad when the ballroom had been decorated like they were meant to celebrate? The great crystal chandeliers cast a cool glow across the room, and tall candelabras had been strategically placed throughout the room to illuminate it. The lights in the room were tinted blue and purple, and each table had a unique centerpiece: in a cylindrical tube about six inches wide and two feet tall, LED lights shifted from blue to pink to purple, illuminating very active jellyfish. They looked lifelike, with wispy tails and gentle movement, and even the bioluminescent flashes looked real–but they were too perfect. And the Negaverse had never condoned animal abuse. Both walls of the room were lined with an incredible variety of food, and soft music played gently from hidden speakers. Laurelite would return soon, but there was still plenty to enjoy in the meantime. Quote: This is an optional Negaverse roleplay that will have one plot driven announcement in about twenty four hours. Any member of the Negaverse is invited to participate, and characters that cannot reach Negaspace on their own can handwave that they were given a ride by someone else if they don’t have anyone to tag along with. Players will not miss any important information; if their character is not written in this ORP they can handwave their presence if they like, but an IC notification will be sent out to share all information. Players do not lose anything by not participating, but it is a chance to interact with other Negaverse characters or ask Laurleite questions. A character can join this ORP at any point in time, but it will be officially locked and closed on September 22nd. The next mule post should be around 6 PM EST tomorrow. This ORP ICly takes place on September 13th; a follow up event will take place ICly on September 20th. OOCly, the following event will be started on September 13th and will last for a little over a week. More information will be available in the near future! Please include your character's name, rank, and a link to their journal at the top of your posts! If you are interacting with an NPC, please make sure to quote the mule! Note for 4th Stage Players / Mauvian Players: If you play a General Sovereign and want them in attendance, this announcement should not come as a surprise to them. They would have been briefed on this project if they had any interest. If you need information before the release tomorrow, please let us know but this should be considered a good business opportunity and something that will open doors for the Negaverse. Mauvians may be smug and excited about the official announcement of the upcoming release, as they have had a vital hand in helping roll this out. More information will be available in the near future but this should be expected to be something that will help the Negaverse.

General ChalcanthiteIt was earlier than he might be down here to work on things but with the invite having come from the Queen about a party and an announcement he had been keen on wrapping things up and making his way down even if his briefcase was still full of exams to grade later. There was still a week or so before he would have to upload everything to the online grade book which was the easiest part of the process which meant that he could work on it later in the week or maybe over the weekend. It had been a while since he'd joined a gathering and this time he felt a bit better about his ability to avoid drinks than he had when Faustite had hosted another sort of gathering. Adding a few things to a plate he wandered the room and looked for any of his team, wondering if they would join. It was good to keep up on any changes but he also knew that any important information would be sent out accordingly after this event. Keeping an eye out, he knew his sister wouldn't pass up an opportunity for socializing just as much as he knew Benitoite would be here to see what sort of announcement might be coming. Keeping his pace slow as he floated around the room, he would look for a seat once he noticed any of his team in attendance. Most of them were students, not all of them from the university, so he knew it might take some time for them to get the notice as well as make their way here. ((Open for interactions from his team or otherwise))

Corrupt Eternal Sailor Chara of Chocolate
Now, did Chara *really* care about being here? Nope, not in the least. Honestly he barely did more than the absolute minimum these days, only enough to keep the snootier, more annoying leaders off of his back. To him, that was his right!
How many years had he been doing this?
How much of his youth had been sucked dry thanks to this entire shenanigan?
... Okay, so he *really* didn't know that information, given going back in his memory four or so years felt like an absolute empty book.
But hey! Here he was today! No one could complain about him not showing his ugly mug around here this time.
Once he walked through the fancy looking halls, he finally saw the decked out spread that was laid out before them. There was *so much delicious s**t* that he didn't even bother to look at anyone while he loaded up his plate. The Negaverse gave a stipend and all that to make sure he was housed and fed, but it hit different when there was some ACTUAL food to shove in his gob.
With a plate loaded up, he slinked off to a seat kinda sorta in the middle of the area but not quite. A show of carefully planned not-caring. He did peek at the General Kings in all their kingly-ish glory, then proceeded to ignore it. All this big shot stuff typically went right over his head.
Sitting here, eating up, and moving that one good eye around here and there was good enough for him!
((Chara is open to interactions! Feel free to Quote!))

General King Jet“You’re going to miss all the fun,” Jet quietly teased Axinite, offering his own plate of appetizers and finger foods to try and get Axinite off of his tablet. “Taking lesser hours at your job doesn’t mean you should be overworking here. Relax!”
As if he didn’t often overdo it by working long hours. But they deserved a break every now and then.
“Look at the decorations! I’ve never seen the castle done up like this before, even just a ballroom.”
He was in a good mood, and doubted anything would change that. Even the hesitant, distrusting looks from others didn’t rattle him. (Jet is open for interaction!)

General-King FaustiteFaustite was still a touch too groggy from waking up to effect much jubilance, but the overall mood in the great hall was warming. His flames clashed a touch with the luminance from the chandeliers; it was bright enough that he didn't stand out too terribly.
Food beckoned him, naturally, and the room was scented with enticing aromas of fresh-baked bread, braised meats, roasted vegetables, and all sorts of other fare. But given that Axinite was very obviously trying not to be obvious about being on his tablet, Faustite wondered if he could score a few more minutes of shut-eye before the announcement was made.
If nothing else, he could relax some by taking a seat in a more out-of-the-way area, leaving the lavishly decorated buffet table to be visited by the rank and file as they filtered in. He'd found a chair positioned near the wall and a small bistro table, seating for two, that looked hardy enough to stand up to his fires. Deciding it was well enough, he took a seat and crossed one leg over his knee, then leaned back in the chair.
The team would likely come around when it came closer to the announcement. And if he was lucky, he might spy some of his husbands coming through the doors.Quote: Faustite is open for interaction~ Please bear in mind that I will likely be slow due to OOC scheduling!

General Aquamarine“You should drink,” Aquamarine joined Jet by Axinite, wagging a bottle of wine at Axinite in a manner that probably came off more forceful than tempting.
He’d brought his own bottle because he hadn’t been sure if alcohol would be provided—he refused to sit through a Negaverse dinner party without being at least a little tipsy, even a dinner party put on by the Queen—and also because he wanted to pick and choose who he shared it with. Axinite frequently looked as if he could use something stronger than wine, but Aquamarine was trying not to push his luck.
“Makes these things easier to get through,” he added, taking a very large swallow from the very full glass he held in his other hand.
If he had any clue what this party was about, Aquamarine didn’t show it. If he had no clue what this party was about, he didn’t show that either. At best, Aquamarine looked bored. At worst, he looked vaguely annoyed.

General Benitoite.Balancing a loaded plate in one hand the petite general weaved his way around and between people, walking on the balls of his feet, he finally approached the corrupted senshi he'd arrived with. "I do hope you don't mind sharing a plate with me. I didn't have a third hand with which to carry a second plate." Because in his other hand was a wine glass half full - for Kafka of course. He would grab a glass of water for himself soon enough, because he would need a drink in time. Offering the glass of wine to his other half, glad to have someone at his side, the blond took the time to look around the ballroom.
"I think I see Chalcanthite." He spoke softly, just loud enough for Kafka to hear him. He wasn't looking to play social butterfly tonight, he'd rather keep to his family and his team if anyone from his team turned up. Stepping closer to Kafka, standing right next to him, he let a small gap between them linger. "This is the first time I've been at an event with someone..." His voice, soft and just above a whisper, he flicked his eyes up to the others face, a light smile creeping onto his features.
For a moment he wondered if his cousins would turn up...and if so...who?

General King Axinite“Oh, no thank you,” Axinite insisted, holding up a hand to politely decline Aquamarine’s wine. “I appreciate it, but it’s not good for me. Please, enjoy it for me. But not too much. Tonight should be easy to get through without it.” He had tilted his body just slightly, like he thought he could hide the way he folded his tablet back into a pen and tucked it away. Even if Jet had already figured him out, he couldn’t help it. But Laurelite wasn’t around to give him a look, and Lepidolite’s back was to him as he boisterously regaled the tale of how he had fought off three Knights while half blinded from their magic when he was still only a Captain, himself. Hessonite’s face was hidden behind the camera as she took another photograph so he thought he might have been safe from her. He should have paid more attention to where Jet was in the room. And yet, his manners demanded he accept something from the two of them, and he’d already rejected the wine. “I suppose you wouldn’t believe me if I said this was me relaxed.” He didn’t accept the whole plate but he did carefully pluck a single pinwheel from Jet’s plate and offered quick thanks. “I meant to make a plate but I didn’t want to crowd the line.” Or, actually, he’d just wanted to finish what he was working on and thought he could get away with it while everyone was distracted with fresh food, but still. “I’m impressed with the arrangements, though. It’s nice to see the castle done up like this. We should have events more often, it might liven the place up some.”

General Lopezite
It was a nice surprise to forfeit making dinner or planning to order in, and with the array of food provided, Lopezite had nothing to complain about. He’d loaded up his plate generously, but not so much that it could have been seen as greedy. He’d just had a long, hard day of work and he was very hungry.
There was plenty of food still out there, and nothing he’d taken had been even remotely close to running out. Besides, he was certain that Laurelite would have prepared for a big crowd; he doubted there was going to be any sort of food shortage.
Things had been busy for him in the last few months. He’d been active with his Negaverse duties and never fallen short of any quota, but neither had he gone out of his way to go above and beyond. He was there for his team, there for his allies, and there for anyone that needed help but he had no great aspirations to go above and beyond that.
Besides, he was busy in Destiny City.
The junkyard was booming, no doubt in part to the property damage caused by so many skirmishes–or, maybe it was just that school had started up again recently. His checks for the Negaverse cleared easily and he was able to afford just about anything he wanted. Which, presently, happened to be supporting one of his favorite shelters to purchase the land next to their lot, He was particularly proud of their efforts, and they were already almost finished building the second wing for their shelter.
He’d arrived with Alpersite tonight but they split up only briefly to make their plates. He’d made it back to an empty table first; there were still four seats left when he arrived so he doubted it would fill up before Alpersite got his plate–and he was right. He smiled when the Captain sat down next to him and immediately examined his plate.
“Oh, good choices. I’ve got a full plate in front of me and I’m still hungry for yours. I’m glad I didn’t have to cook tonight, this is infinitely better than anything I’d have made.”
…And he didn’t have to worry about navigating around the dogs in the kitchen. He’d probably still wind up sneaking a doggy bag back to them to make up for his absence tonight. Or, maybe he’d just stop and get them some cheap cheeseburgers on the way home or something; they probably couldn’t even appreciate how good it was.

Lt. Euchroite Euchroite's wide, curious eyes roamed the room. This was her first event since joining the mysterious and powerful negaverse, and she couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and nervousness. The grand hall was adorned with opulent decorations, glittering chandeliers casting a soft glow over the crowd. Euchroite slowly made her way through the throng of animated conversations, taking in the lively atmosphere and exotic fashion choices of her new colleagues. She hesitated for a moment, unsure of where to go or who to approach in this sea of unfamiliar faces. But as she looked around, she couldn't help but be drawn in by the sense of intrigue and possibility that surrounded her. ((114))

Corrupt Super Kafka
Taking the glass and extra plate from Benitoite, Kafka followed and looked around at all the officers and other senshi that were here so far. He was still a bit skittish after the most recent confrontation with order and kept close to that small blonde of his. Trailing behind and listening to their commentary, he spotted Chalcanthite as they had mentioned but he really felt more comfortable sticking by his partner still. The closer the better in his opinion even if that horrible vision he had seen was just something made up by that squire's magic. The wine was just the thing to help ease a bit of the tension he had, allowing him to feel a bit better even if he really would rather be home. But he would always end up where Benitoite was so tonight he was here and at least there was food and wine. It wasn't one that he could quite place but it was at least semi-decent which made sense if they wanted to have things a bit on the higher end of the spectrum considering the Queen had sent the invitation out. Brushing some of his unruly bangs out of his face, he then let his fingers trail down their arm for a moment. "At least it's not in space this time..." Teasing just a bit even if he was still figuring out if he liked this any better.

Eternal Coprrupt MiyamotoHe would have stayed in tonight, already having met his quota earlier in the week, but there was a meeting for the Negaverse. Ever the loyal corrupt senshi he'd left his home after work, he'd had a long day spent betgween two clients, each one getting larger pieces done, before going home to feed Omen. With his cat fed, their face plunked into their food bowl, eating some fishy smelling food. Kioshi took a shower before going out to power up and head himself down the dark kingdom. What stopped him, right before he could teleport, was a message incoming on his tablet from another corrupt asking for a teleport down to the gathering. It was a corrupt he'd just recently come across, a female whose name he couldn't remember, but he'd taken the detour in order to pick up the corrupted senshi before teleporting them both down to the dark kingdom.
Letting go of the female he stepped back, the arm he'd had abotu her falling to his side. "We're here, welcome to the dark kingdom." Standing there the eternal didn't stand out all that much given all the energy signatures filling the room, there was a lot of power in the room, as he took his time in looking about the room taking in all the lighting. "Someone went for mood lighting." And he wans't sure what he thought about it. It didn't look bad per say but it certainly wasn't his thing either. It could also be worse; a lot worse.
"When you're ready to go home either find myself or another officer - we'll bring you home." And he turned, ready to wander off and find something to drink and a corner to seat himself in. He was not planning to socialize, he already had the resting b***h face in place, as he headed off for the buffet table. Frost trailed along, as his hair slide across the ground behind him like a veil of sorts, the air about him chilled as he hoped the small display of magic would keep most from bothering him this evening. Pondering the odds of having a peaceful night, a fang nibbling his bottom lip as he thought on the odds, the dark haired male really wasn't paying any mind to those around him as he made his way for the table and the drinks there.

Corrupt MeinelUsually, Meinel would have asked one of her cousins to come grab her for events like these. But Hudson was staying home, Lorry was busy, and Alex was going with some one else. That last one she was curious about but figured she could ask him as soon as she found a way to get there. Apparently, being a first stage meant that she couldn't teleport yet. This was rather disappointing news since she was looking forward to getting to the dark kingdom on her own. Alas she would have to figure out her own way, which meant putting out on the little tablet that she had for some one to come meet her and teleport her to the banquet.
Luckily, she had just met a corrupt not too long ago.
She quickly sent a message to...Miyamoto? Right? She would remember his name eventually.
It didn't take too long for him to appear which was stellar, meaning that she might have to rely on him to get home, which he gave his permission for as well. Giving Miyamoto a smile Meinel waived at his slowly disappearing form, "I will thank you!" Now, where to go? She looked around to see if she could find her cousin while working on grabbing a plate from the banquet. Eventually she spotted Beni with....Who was that? Quickly finishing the filling of her plate, Meinel made a beeline for her older cousin, "Benibee I found you~" She didn't want to cause a scene so she made sure to say it gently, that way no attention would be drawn. The blonde then looked up at the kind of familiar looking brown-haired senshi with a small eye squint and a tilt of her head, "And just who are you?" She was well aware her cousin was taken by Rene so this was puzzling or her cousin was a two-timing weirdo.Quote: Meinel is open for interaction~

Lieutenant Jasper Jasper arrived late. He’d considered not coming at all but ultimately decided it would be bad form for a Lieutenant to decline an invitation from a Queen (though he doubted the Queen in question even knew who he was, him being so low on the totem pole). Even then he almost forgot about it, lost to the addictive blue light of his laptop screen.
He went straight to the food, which was worth showing his face for. Not that he was particularly enamored with any of it—he wasn’t picky—but he hadn’t realized how hungry he was until he’d filled his plate and sat down to eat it. He couldn’t remember the last time he’d eaten. That morning, maybe. Or did he have lunch? Did it matter? He was eating now, and the food was fine. Passable. Filling—which was the most important part.
Jasper found a spot at an empty table as close to the doors as possible—the better to dip out as soon as he decided he’d been there long enough. He sat by himself because he didn’t know anyone. Didn’t really care to know anyone either. They were his colleagues, sure, but that didn’t make them friends. He had enough of those for his liking. He was there to do a job and nothing more.

Eternal KamaciteKamacite had never enjoyed things like mingling and gathering in crowds. Those who knew him knew how capable he was as a Negaverse Senshi, but he would be the last to advertise something like that. Others sought him out when he was needed, and he preferred to keep a low profile.
Cymophane was… somewhere. Chatting people up, making connections, laughing and flirting. It gave Kamacite a headache just thinking about it. He wanted to see how Axinite was doing, but he was otherwise distracted by General King Jet and General Aquamarine. To which he did his best not to make a disgruntled expression.
There was food at least. He could at least gather up a plate to nibble on--
Except all of the tables already seemed to have someone settled. Kamacite felt his heart sink. He didn’t really want to sit with a stranger, especially not someone who would try to ask him too many questions. Maybe he could just stand awkwardly by the doors and try to eat from his plate without bothering anyone.
