Daedalus looked sick.

There was no disguising it anymore; he was pale and drawn, and despite his best efforts, he couldn’t conceal how poorly he had slept for the past week. It felt as if finding that strange monster on his planet—the source, the heart of the Chaos there—had accelerated his illness.

Daedalus felt, in his bones, that he did not have long left. Not if things remained as they were, at least.

But there were so many people gathered here—so many willing to help him. Familiar and unfamiliar faces alike. And his world was not the first to have its Chaos purged. Urania, Fang—he was sure there were others that he wasn’t even aware of, which meant that whatever happened to him, there was at least hope that Daedalus-the-world would not be consumed by the Chaos trying to eat it. Not with so many people coming to help it. Coming to help him.

He wanted to present a stronger front, but in truth, it was easier to be seated on the edge of the large fountain in the park he’d called for people to meet him in. It was an elegantly designed little area, a central sitting place with benches and chess tables surrounded by green paths, and honestly, Daedalus would have gladly lingered here of his own will. But there wasn’t time.

He stayed seated, but raised his voice.

“Hello, everyone. I know some of your faces, but not all of them—and I cannot express how much I appreciate you coming.” He took a breath. Shallow, careful. Too much talking and he would end up hacking in front of everyone—and while he couldn’t disguise his physical state fully effectively, there was no reason to put his illness on display, either. “I’ll wait a bit for more people to congregate, but in short: I am Sailor Daedalus. And I believe I’ve found the source of the Chaos infection on my homeworld. My hope is that, together, we can eliminate it once and for all.”

He considered, for a moment. “If there’s anything you’d liekt o ask me before we go, now is the time.”

Vela Super Senshi of Bonfires

Vela was worried as soon as she got there, she had been doing this a lot lately, going to help others with their problems. She wasn't ready to face her own problems yet so this worked just as well for now. Chaos always seemed to cause one problem or another, she knew that all too well, since she had been a corrupt. Vela was pretty much always willing to help others, it was like she was making up for lost time while she was corrupted. She couldn't remember if they had met before but that hardly mattered when someone was in need.

Vela smiled and said "No questions here, I'm Sailor Vela nice to meet you, if we haven't met before." She wasn't always good at remembering who she had met and who she hadn't met. She blamed having her brain and core rattled by shifting chaos.

Name: Super Murikabushi of Hunger
Action: Listening and holding back a question so he doesn’t undermine Daedalus.

Murikabushi arrived early, coming to the park with Daedalus. He stayed on his feet when they got to the fountain, though. While Muri didn’t have any obvious alien traits (mostly on account of not being one), he hoped that his height and the general drama of his fuku might help people find them more easily.

There wasn’t anywhere else Muri would’ve rather been tonight; he’d cleared all potential scheduling conflicts as soon as Daedalus had decided on when he wanted to go. After being there to see the state of Daedalus’s world—after seeing the devastation and the horror of whatever the Chaos was doing in the lake, and moreover, seeing how badly Daedalus had started coughing during their little preliminary exploration—Muri couldn’t just hold off. He couldn’t stay home and wait for one of his friends to maybe come home, and who knew what sort of state he’d be in, then.

Listening to Daedalus’s introduction, Muri couldn’t help but look uneasy. He didn’t let himself ask the question he had in mind, though. Are you okay?—it was such a loaded question right now, and too likely, Daedalus wouldn’t answer it honestly. Which would’ve been fair enough, given how bad things were on his world and how much it might have helped everyone else for him to appear strong. Still, Murikabushi worried about him.

Name: Deep Space Eternal Selinur
Action: Arriving.

The group was already gathering, he could sense it as he entered the park, and it sent something of a thrill through the ancient senshi. To think so many young senshi were coming out to assist in something like this, to helping them reclaim the homes they'd been born on, these young senshi had never known space like he and others like him had. Space for these young ones he supposed was a reclaimning of a place which they had few, if any, memories of...a place which they had not been apart of. They'd never lived there like the ancient senshi had...it felt like the reclaiming was deeper for him and his kind in a way because of that, and he did wonder if he was the only one to feel and think as he did. However, he kept his thoughts to himself as he approached the group. Walking lightly, despite the boots he wore, the fox like senshi was sniffing the air as he spotted the group and drew closer to them.

He'd seen some of them before, that one in the fluffy tutu like outfit...he was certain he'd seen them before. They were certainly a rather large and imposing figure. That fuku though kept them from looking too intimidating to the frosty senshi, though really not much intimidated him to be honest. Keeping a shoft distance from the fountain, but close enough to hear everyone, he settled in to watch. Standing there, arms crossed over his chest, he was watching those who arrived and joined the group.

Name: Super Hamal of Talismans
Action: Arriving.

She'd been out on her own, a rare thing indeed, when she'd felt a lot of signatures all in one place. Hamal didn't power up and go out on her own much, her cousins and boyfriend all worried over her, but she was certain that whatever was going on no one would mind her joining in on - she wouldn't be alone. This wasn't as if she were going to take on a general on her own, that her family would have issues with, this was a lot of people and all she could sense was order anyway. So she was safe to investigate and join in on whatever this gathering was for, which she assumed was training of some kind.

The walk through the park didn't take long, all the while she kicked at the hem of her skirt as she walked, the senshi of talismans really did wish her skirt wasn't so dreadully long...it was a wonder she never stepped on it and fell flat on her face. She was certain it would happen at some point; it was a matter of time. Taking in the gathered senshi, and knights, the dark eyes girl knew none of them...but she really didn't get out much and she did for a moment consider sending a message out to Takamizawa, she even had pulled out her phone, but she put her phone away. She was fine - she was safe. She'd let him know about this later. He was likely studying since he was pre-med and she knew it took a lot. She was supportive and so tried not to worry him, as this might, and supported him when she could even bringing him meals as she knew he might just forget to feed himself.

Name: DSS Basic Procyon
Action: Arriving and worrying

As soon as Procyon saw that the message was about Daedalus, he dropped everything and hurried on his way. It had been a bit since he'd seen the senshi who'd made his arm, at least since the last time he'd managed to break it a bit. moving forward towards then, they didn't look good and he wondered what was happening. Did they look this bad before? He tried to think about it but he hadn't noticed it but if this was because of chaos then hopefully clearing it would help as it seemed to help the others.

"No questions but I hope we can make quick work of this for you." He sounded hopeful as he spoke and noticed more senshi arriving. The sooner it was handled, the sooner they could hopefully rest and heal up. If there was a big turnout then it should go well, or at least as well as it could. This time he hadn't pulled that human senshi along but he figured Selinur would be here as well.

Name: DSS Basic Erinome
Action: Arriving and listening

Arriving and standing near the edge of the gathering crowd, Erinome had a hard time seeing who was talking but they didn't sound well. The mention of finding the source of chaos did have his attention though. If there was a way to get rid of it he wanted to learn. Anything to start getting things figured out to help his homeworld. Looking around, he knew Chaldene wouldn't be here but he started to wish they were with how many unknown senshi and knights there were here.

For now he just waited and listened as he kept out of people's way.

Caliban, Eternal of Sealing

Caliban stretched his arms out a bit as he made his way over to the meeting spot. Not as secluded as he would have liked considering the Negaverse could be anywhere and dampening their auras with their own cats, but he wouldn't worry about it for now. They would be out of the area soon enough and off to defeat the chaos that had claimed another world.

"Not the first, won't be the last." He mumbled to himself as he found a spot to stand in, continuing to stretch. He had been standing most of the day and his arms and legs were feeling a bit gelatinous. He needed the fight. He still hadn't gone back to his Homeworld all that much once the monster on it had been defeated.

He promised to himself to fix that, he just had to remember to do it.

Alphubel, Knight of Polaris

After the last battle he hadn't expected to be called for help again so soon, but here he was and willing. With a bit more confidence in himself this time. It was both a good and bad thing to be called here though. Good that they could help, but that so many Homeworlds were in desperate need of saving. He stood to the side, attempting to see how many he could recognize. He thought he remembered one, but the others were all still or completely new to him.

Perhaps he should send out messages to meet others more? Surely they could be a bit more communicative with each other when they could gather in such large groups as this. Or perhaps civilian life ate away at their energy like it did for most people.

He sighed, planting his staff in the ground a little so that he could use it to lean on.

Voyager, Squire of Pluto

Voyager had to admit that he didn't really like meeting and going to other Homeworlds like this. Well, the number of others was fine, it was more the reason that they were invited that was the problem. It was always stopping chaos or something else. Never because someone just wanted to show off or tell others about their Homeworld or Wonders.

It was quite depressing.

That didn't change the fact that he needed to help however. He was a Squire and that meant more than just sitting on his butt and collecting items to add to a hoard. He had a responsibility to help not only his Wonder heal, but other Wonders and Homeworlds and fighting against Chaos. They weren't given magical powers for no reason, and these gatherings helped to remind him of that.

"Happy to help!" He said, giving Daedalus a thumbs-up. He had no doubt that they would be able to help this Senshi!

Name: Super DSS Róka of the Undertow
Action: Sidling up to Daedalus and asking a nice question smile

More than anything, Róka was relatively sure, this was just going to further affirm their refusal to ever return to their world. Fang had been bad enough to watch, and that had been... it'd only been a fight. An elaborate fight, but Fang had been so vulnerable for it, and even given that he was normally quite an open fellow -- there'd been so many points where someone could've killed him. Just for fun, really. If someone had been fast enough -- and Róka was very, very fast, when their magic cooperated --

Not that they would've. Too many people watching. And death was really a very simple harm for senshi, who could simply turn around and come back in seven to twelve years, but that was a path of thought they didn't particularly need to go down when Daedalus practically looked terminal. They'd get too distracted by the whole thing, and then who knew what would happen.

But on the other hand, it was very difficult to viscerally maul Negaverse officers when they had things like axes and maces and other such blades, and clearing Chaos off the worlds of others was good physical exercise and good reconnaissance, so if they just happened to find themself at all of these gatherings, who'd blame them?

And then their host. This gathering's gracious, gracious host, who looked like he'd been recently ill. It'd be uncouth to say it so loudly and spread it around, that wasn't the image they needed people to have of them; so Róka made their way a little closer to Daedalus, hands in their pockets, and made an inquisitive little noise in the back of their throat. "You're poorly, aren't you." They didn't particularly bother to pretend to be kind about it. Better to be direct with this. "Well enough to take this many people?"

And was that Selinur over there? As an Eternal? Fantastic. Lovely. It didn't grate on Róka's nerves to see him stronger than them now, because they didn't have those anymore, although if they did it would've been frustrating -- but he'd have to be more tolerable than half this lot, even so. So many open, genuine, trusting people. Ugh.

If senshi had carried anything worthwhile in their actual, physical pockets, Róka would've harkened back to their pickpocket days, but alas. Not today.

Name: Anakeion Squire of Castor
Action: Responsible Chaperone

Anakeion had actually had plans to catch a Twitch stream tonight and have a lazy night where she mostly just microwaved frozen pancake puffs, but Cepheus had asked if she could go to a Senshi Event, so, like, here Anakeion ******** was, she guessed. It was good for her!! Probably!! Going out and socializing with people at important magic events was how you built relationships!! But mostly she felt kinda weird being here for a guy who she, key point, did not ******** know. And here she was, with like thirty other people, going to space to. Something? Destroy Chaos in whatever form it took?

Some days she felt a draw to that whole coping scheme she'd had way back when, where, like, she was a magical girl, that had to mean something, destroy evil, blah blah blah. Sometimes her life was kind of weird, was what she was thinking about.

Anakeion patted her sister gently on the head, ruffled Cepheus' hat a little, and rocked on her heels. "Don't get too far from me, 'kay? I think I'm the only Castor knight here, so, like, at least the colors are distinct."

Name: Sailor Cepheus of Squids
Action: Really she's just happy to be here,

Cepheus didn't ask to do senshi things too often! She really didn't. It wasn't too interesting to her most of the time; she visited Cepheus every now and again, and she was careful about it, but she didn't really go out and fight youma, or patrol too often. But she'd heard about this, and it'd sounded interesting, and she wasn't doing anything else tonight, and it didn't actually take too much convincing to get Amaris to put on Anakeion and come chaperone.

It was good for Amaris, probably. Zinnia wasn't really sure about that, but Amaris had a tendency to kind of wallow, and making her go do Magic Things tended to redirect any listless energy to productive causes. So it was fine?

She didn't know these people, though, which meant she felt weird saying anything, which meant mostly Cepheus just worried at the edge of her skirt and twisted fingers through her hair. Oh, right, Anakeion had said something, so... "I'm purple. I'm not that hard to find." The white and black cap was probably more notable, given hair colors and uniform colors, but oh well...?

Name: Deep Space Eternal Selinur
Action: "Greeting" Roka and Daedalus.

While looking over those gathered keen blue eyes landed on a rather interesting figure. Someone he knew, though he wouldn't dare say they were on good termsor anything close to that, but seeing Roka in the group was amusing to say the least. He was mildly surprised, the other didn't seem the social sort. With a bit of a mischevious smile in place Selinur decided to head towards the other.

"Roka." Greeting while his eyes went to their fellow ancient, looking them over carefully, they looked ill prepared for this...more suited for a hospital bed than this gathering here. There was no way they seemed capable of bringing so many to space much less participating in whatever was going on up there, and the fight which would surely come. He had, here and there, seen Fang and how he'd handled the fight on his home planet. They hadn't looked sick before hand either. Daedalus looked ill, very ill, and if he had to deal with anything like Fang had to...this could go bad. At least with the others he's helped out they had not looked sick and had no suffered so from the battles.

"It's been some time since I've seen you Roka, you look well." Flashing a smile to the other, not his fault if it didn't look all that convincing or honest. "I can only assume this planet is doing you some good."

Name: Kaifeng, Squire of Saturn
Action: Arriving with Stribor and bringing his spunky, positive attitude! Also, waving “hi” at Róka.

After the experience of clearing the Chaos off of Fang’s world, it made sense that anybody might have needed a break before coming to help Daedalus with his. Kaifeng, however, was right there. He’d come with Stribor—an easy arrangement, considering that Dewey lived with Liánlí and Huanxi; they could just leave from home together. Safety existed in numbers, hence the whole concept of taking more people to fight and purge the Chaos that was infecting any given world……but one also needed safety when walking from home to the park. Plenty of nasty things lived in Destiny City, even without necessarily needing to be Chaos.

On arriving in the park, around the fountain, Kaifeng found them a nice spot near-ish to the front of the group, but hopefully not too close to the center. As much as he wanted to project good vibes out at the group, he didn’t want to accidentally distract from Daedalus. People probably had important questions to ask about the mission.

As he looked around the people who’d shown up so far, Kaifeng noticed that plenty of other alien senshi had come out today. It did Kaifeng’s heart good to see that. On one hand, alien senshi solidarity was always encouraging (and it hopefully meant that Huan-ge and Dewey would have an easy time finding people to come help them with the Chaos on their own worlds, whenever they were ready to confront it). On the other hand, it meant that Stribor wouldn’t be the only non-Daedalus alien senshi here, so he hopefully wouldn’t stick out too much, or feel like he was being singled out by anybody. Being an adorable bunny-boy definitely marked him as non-human, sure, but given the presence of different cute space senshi with fox ears and tails, or antennae that looked like a moth’s? Stribor, his bunny ears, and his adorable little peets fit right in.

Aside from Stribor, though, Kaifeng did not offhand think that he really knew any of them. At best, he recognized one (Róka) as a Friend Of Grieve’s. Or at least Kaifeng felt like he’d seen the two of them fighting together up on Fang. He felt like he’d also seen someone who looked similar to them in one of Xingyi-ge’s memories, the one where Huan-ge’s brother had shown up to ask after Xingyi-ge’s intentions with Huan-ge? ……Though the person in the memory hadn’t been powered up at the time, Kaifeng didn’t think, so maybe they were just one of this particular senshi’s people?

Either way, Kaifeng smiled and shot them a quick wave. He’d probably spent a bit too long quizzically looking at them. It was just polite to have that staring actually amount to something, instead of making it pointlessly weird.

Name: Dunwich, Page of Neptune
Action: Arriving, texting her husband, and asking Daedalus a question.

Summer break meant that Eva had more free hours to make time for doing Knight Things again, but Dunwich hadn’t actually planned on sticking her nose into anything in particular tonight.

When she’d headed out for a patrol, she’d actually considered going up to her Wonder. She’d only been once since the Code had asked all of the Knights to go up there and resonate with the Code Pieces that their Wonders protected. With all the final exams, final papers and projects, grading undergraduates’ work, and similar Destiny City University business out of the way until autumn, Dunwich wanted to go poke around the lighthouse some more, to ferret around in the caves beneath them until she found more of the secrets that her Wonder had long hidden beneath the somewhat disheartening appearance.

She wanted to see what other memories she could trip, to learn more of Keziah Whateley, the Dunwich who’d come before her, and what sorts of strangeness she’d gotten up to there.

But a large gathering of energy signatures tended not to be a good sign, even if all of them were Order-aligned. Getting closer to the group, she heard someone—an eternal senshi seated at the fountain, who looked like some sort of dragon-man—talking about a Chaos infection that he needed help to fight.… So, he was one of the senshi like Madriu. Seemed the most reasonable conclusion (the only reasonable conclusion in Dunwich’s mind, honestly).…… Well, maybe it hadn’t been what Dunwich had planned to do tonight? But helping some long-surviving alien senshi get the Chaos off of his world sounded like a worthy reason to divert from her own plans.

For a moment, she considered using her signet ring to let Jacob know, but ultimately, she pulled her civilian phone out of her subspace instead. She fired off a quick text—“Might be out later than expected. Important business. I’ll explain when I get home, love you”—then raised her hand.

“What does the Chaos infection on your world look like,” she asked, hoping that she didn’t sound too pushy or nosy or anything. “I only ask because different situations might require different strategies to fight it. Can’t hurt for people to think about this ahead of time, right?”

Michael and Atticus were home sick, and Elliot had not needed much to be convinced to stay home and look after them. Someone had to stay at home and make sure everyone was fine, right? Alastor wore one half of the earring set he shared with Sessrumnir, though Michael was wearing the other half for now.

Though, he really should be sleeping. It was just for emergencies but of course he’d worry. He always did. It was strange to be here without Sessrumnir but they were at least connected through the earrings. It didn’t feel like they were really apart–but then, it rarely did.

Lucien was perched on Alastor’s shoulders but he was a massive cat. Alastor stood as still as possible to make it easier for him.

There were many faces around them already–some he recognized, and some that he didn’t. It never surprised him to find the obviously non-Earth born senshi, but he felt a strange pining to socialize with them. Opportunities felt rare to come by when they weren’t gathered specifically for some task like this but it wasn’t ideal to try and strike up a conversation when there was so much at stake.

Daedalus had offered answers to any of their questions.

Alastor had many but before he narrowed down how much he could reasonably ask, Dunwich had voiced the most important question on his mind. He didn’t want to bombard Daedalus with more questions, especially given how concerned he already looked. He must have had a lot on his mind.

Instead, Alastor crossed his arms over his chest and listened.

Name: DSS Corvina of Windflowers
Action: Arriving with Lanting. Glowering. Judging people. Getting on his knees to talk to Lanting more easily. Sorry for his bad attitude, he didn’t want to come.

Honestly, Corvina hadn’t really understood why Lanting wanted to come to this gathering. He couldn’t offhand remember anything about a Sailor Daedalus or his world. If he had Chaos on it, the same way that Corvina had on his own world, then it honestly sounded like his own problem to deal with and Corvina wanted no part of it.

But Lanting had insisted that going together might be a good idea, and……well. Lanting did know more about Earth and their customs than Corvina did.…… Corvina hadn’t even visited this insignificant backwater planet very often back during the Silver Millennium—or at least it had certainly felt like an insignificant backwater planet back then. Why so many Knights and senshi had been reincarnated here, Corvina couldn’t begin to fathom, but it was hardly fitting for people like them. Earthling warriors during the Silver Millennium couldn’t even compare to Corvinate children, much less their elite fighters.

Digressions about the strength and ferocity of Corvinate warriors, however, didn’t change that Lanting knew this planet better than Corvina did. Nor did they stop Lanting from thinking that they might get something positive out of attending this adventure.

Despite his lack of interest, Corvina had dutifully followed Lanting to the park where people were meeting up. If Lanting said this was a good idea, then Corvina was going to disagree quietly but listen regardless. Standing beside and slightly behind Lanting, with his ears angled down in irritation and his muscular arms crossed over his own broad chest, Corvina scowled out at anyone who dared to glance either his way or Lanting’s for too long. Whatever they were thinking, he didn’t like it. Even if they were thinking that Lanting was beautiful and precious and he needed to be protected, Corvina didn’t like it. They would’ve been objectively correct, in that case, but that didn’t mean Corvina appreciated them thinking those things about Lanting.

Taking in the sight of the group, Corvina struggled to remember too many of these people, so he assumed that he hadn’t known any of them before, or at least not very well.… Most of them had apparently been reincarnated, like Lanting. The one in the billowing sleeves and too many skirts (Murikabushi) had the look of people from Corvina’s mother’s homeworld, which made him immediately suspect. Some Saturn Squire with a club and a braid, wearing a long, red dress (Kaifeng)—he might have been the new version of that one Saturn Knight? The one who’d come to Corvina with another Saturn Knight, investigating a murder or something, then he’d gotten drunk, and one thing had led to another, which had meant for a very interesting match in the capital city’s best arena that night.

“That one might be a problem,” Corvina told Lanting, awkwardly trying to bend closer so he could whisper.…… Given the disparity in their heights, this proved difficult, so Corvina got on his knees instead. That put his height about even with Lanting’s, making this much easier.

Pointing toward Kaifeng, Corvina went on, “If he’s the reincarnation of who I think he is—Kaifeng, I think?—then somebody had better control him. The last one visited my world once, in the company of another Saturn Knight. He was a formidable warrior, punished a murderer who’d tried to escape justice by hiding on Corvina—” The previous Kaifeng had been so formidable despite having had Murikabushian heritage.… Same as Corvina himself, who’d proven time and time again that he was his world’s greatest warrior.… Better not to say so out loud, though. You never wanted to bring up something that shameful of your own free will.… “—but when he drank, he caused trouble. Landed himself in the arena all over again, this time answering for a grievance.”

Corvina paused, giving a pensive hum and looking the new Probably-But-Maybe-Not-Kaifeng of Saturn over again as he pondered whether or not to finish that thought by telling Lanting what the last Kaifeng of Saturn had done during that little misadventure.…… This new one—who may not have even been Kaifeng, what did Corvina know—he didn’t look quite as tall as the old one. His ears, likewise, weren’t anywhere near as impressive. The compact, rounded shape of Terran ears only looked good on Shuangxu—or on Lanting—and losing out on longer, statelier ears with pointed tips must have been a serious blow for Kaifeng-Or-Maybe-Not.…… He might not have been able to keep up with his predecessor as a warrior, though. It was hard to tell by looking at him in this particular setting.

Still, something felt incomplete about the story as it stood, so Corvina added, “He floored seven of my people’s fiercest warriors in the arena before his comrade convinced him to stop. While drunk. He wasn’t even powered up to do it. Didn’t give them the kindness of a clean death, either, but made them live with the shame of having been beaten by a drunk Knight whose father’s family were not only criminals but Murikabushian, which was worse.”

Super Surtur of Desolation

Daedalus had called for help, so naturally Surtur responded. There were few and far between that he knew well enough to be sought out in this lifetime, despite being one of the remaining from a millenia prior.

Ymir was with him, of course. They were relieved of their duty to watch their benefactor’s children for the time it took to help an old friend with the Chaos that plagued his world, but Surtur found himself eager to return in one piece, and continue watching the growth of the next generation.

Surtur was quiet for the moment. It didn’t seem right to be excited to see his friend once more. To rally enthusiasm and energy when Daedalus looked so ill.

It was concerning. Especially if he was saying that he’d found the source, and was looking to clear the Chaos now.

“Your illness, my friend. Is it a result of coming into contact with your world’s Chaos?” he asked with a frown.

“You are the strongest connection to your World. Will your condition continue to deteriorate if we do not address the Chaos now, or is there a chance to strengthen yourself before embarking on this perilous task? If addressing it now is the only way, should we all expect to become ill, like yourself? There may be some here who may not have the fortitude, mentally or physically, to fight off illness, rather than Chaos,” he offered his thoughts, concerned about the youngest of those who were there.

Some were enthusiastic, but didn’t have the experience in dealing with Chaos. Some were not born able to handle being sick. This could be more detrimental than was necessary if they were not careful. He trusted that Daedalus thought this through, but he had to be absolutely sure.

“I have young children I look after. Can you guarantee what you are suffering from is not contagious?”

Sailor Stribor of Gentleness

Stribor stuck like glue to Kaifeng—sure, he liked making new friends and all, but this seemed like exactly the wrong time and place. The nerves bubbled up inside him and he tried to swallow them down.

After everything... he wasn't sure what to do anymore. But he could fight. He could do whatever it was his fellow alien needed him to do to remove the Chaos from his planet. He wanted that badly. Needed to see it happen—he'd heard of one, at least, from Kaifeng, some wolf-ish senshi who'd needed a bunch of people to help destroy the Chaos that manifested on his planet.

At least, he hoped, this all meant that... some people would come to him and help when it was his own time.

He shyly waved to the person Kaifeng waved at, cringing just a bit closer to Kaifeng and feeling guilty about it.

Lanting, Page of Ida

Perhaps this was a bad idea. Lanting only knew Corvina so well, so far, and despite feeling very distinctly swept off his feet, he also got the impresison that....Corvina might not be very well socialized.

As if he was some kind of large dog.

Anyway, not being well socialized made perfect sense! He'd spent a thousand years in isolation on his planet, anyone would be a little weird after that, and that wasn't even accounting for all the ways he'd surely been traumatized before. Zhiheng had snapped his horns off, and Corvina still seemed to have some sort of complicated positive feelings about him. that was not the mark of someone who was well adjusted, Lanting thought, from his throne of definitely not having any emotional problems whatsoever.

Anyway. The point was. They were here. They were going to help the nice dragon Senshi with the pretty horns and the steampunk fuku--who looked drawn and haggard and distinctly ill, which seemed like a pretty bad sign. And there were some people that Lanting recognized, which was lovely.

And Corvina could kneel down and that made him closer to Lanting's height and Lanting was going to pass out in a dramatic fit of homosexuality.

Okay, maybe not, but he felt like he might.

Corvina's assessment of Kaifeng, though, made Lanting blink.

"Oh, I know him, actually," he whispered, keeping his voice low and leaning closer to Corvina. "That is Kaifeng, you're right, but that kind of thing--he doesn't drink, not in this life. And I guess there probably is someone to keep an eye on him, his boyfriend is a Senshi from outer space, like you--Sailor Helene?" If Corvina had known Kaifeng, maybe he'd known Helene, too? Hard to say.

"And I've met Murikabushi, too! He's sweet, what was wrong with his planet's people, back then?" Was he pouting? Yes, distinctly. But there was something particularly unpleasant about the way Corvina spoke of Lanting's friend's people. "He's here, also." Lanting gestured, and then he perked up.

"Oh, we should try to talk to Kaifeng if we get a chance--Helene has a magical glamor that lets him look more human, that would be really helpful for you. Just so you can leave the house powered down and stuff, you know? Can't exactly walk Huohuo to the dog park without one."
