Cooking/Baking -- Food is the way to peoples’ hearts, isn’t it? Jacob learned very early that everyone seems a lot more amenable to pleasantness when they’ve had a really, really good snack. His parents are a little overbearing, so there are still certain techniques he’s not really allowed to do (grilling/smoking, frying), and he doesn’t have a great handful of specialized tools, but he is a talented cookie and cake decorator and can put on a decent-enough platter at the dinner table too! He always does his best to make something strange and spectacular when his friends are allowed over, and he has done most of the cooking for his family for a couple years.
…His parents and brother aren’t very good at showing gratitude, but that’s okay! No one is making him cook for them; Jacob just wants them to know that he cares. And someday he’ll figure out the perfect meal to express it so they’ll have to adore him.
Cleaning -- He’s not obsessively tidy or anything, and it wouldn’t necessarily bother Jacob to live in complete squalor, but it seems like cleaning is such a chore for most people, and if you don’t like doing it, he doesn’t mind taking it on for you! It might make him a little anxious if there’s a very particular way things need to be done (not that that would stop him!), but if not, he’s happy to come up with an organizational pattern or give anything greasy and grimy a good scrub. He’s not afraid of a little bleach, and if it helps someone else to be comfortable, he’ll do whatever needs to be done. You can count on him!
Sewing -- Oh, you know, he’s not a very good crafter or anything, but sewing is sort of calming in a way! And he can fix up his old clothes or use cheap thrifty things to make something nice…ish. He doesn’t really share anything he might make. After all, you don’t want something poorly made and ratty! But Jacob likes his stitched-together shirts and flower-embroidered pants, and he thinks it’s okay if he wants to keep them for himself, just this one little hobby he likes to do for himself. That should be okay…
Virtues ϟ
Adaptability -- (Because he’s an Eevee, get it?) Versatile to suit your needs! Because Jacob doesn’t have any particularly strong personal self-interests, he doesn’t mind changing up his needs to suit yours. Not easily frightened, not easily overwhelmed, willing to take on anything that seems like it might help someone else out. Prone to confusion if needed by multiple people (why would multiple people need him?), but absolutely willing to do his best and happy to alter his disposition and work out a different mindset to get things- whatever “things” are- accomplished.
Giving -- Jacob does not feel entitled to much of anything, and as such pretty much everything he has, he doesn’t mind sharing. His snacks, his time, his love. He gives freely and wants other people to enjoy what he has to offer, whatever that is, so he tends to only put his best effort forward and attempts to shield people away from more unsightly things (like his crafted clothes and things). You can catch him volunteering his time at the food bank or helping younger kids with their homework. He just wants everyone to be happy, and if he can do anything to be the catalyst for that, it would put him in a really, very good mood too.
Chipper -- Generally of a positive disposition, it is difficult to get Jacob down. Not impossible, mind, but he finds that it is just better for everyone if he keeps his spirits up so that no one has to be negatively influenced by any problems he might have. And really, he doesn’t have any worth making a fuss about, anyway, so he might as well just be happy.
Flaws ϟ
Private -- Jacob considers himself to be very, extremely realistic (Jacob is wrong)! And as such, he does not delude himself into thinking there is anything interesting about himself worth sharing, and it is unimaginable to him that anyone might care to even take note of him or remember anything about him. While not exactly quiet, he doesn’t talk about himself very much and prefers hearing exciting or noteworthy things about other people. He is a big perpetrator of bottling everything up and hoping it doesn’t spill out and/or no one notices- of course, why would they? It’s hardly anyone’s job to worry about him, when they should be worrying about themselves, right? If pressed to talk about himself, the poor guy is convinced that there’s no good intentions behind it and can become very anxious and meek. He doesn’t want to be left alone! …He just thinks he is better off being your shadow. You don’t ask your shadow what it had for breakfast, do you?
Delulu -- Friends should be sure to be very clear and detailed when telling Jacob things, lest they be grossly misconstrued. If he’s told two of his friends met up for a movie, they absolutely, definitely kissed and must be dating now, and while they’re at it, they’re probably finding it particularly enjoyable to be hanging out without him, and has he actually been the burden keeping them from finding love all along???? His parents had a tiff about Normal Spouse Things, and now they’re doomed to divorce in the coming months one hundred percent for sure. Jacob heard it with his own ears. He takes the smallest bit of information and fabricates a whole (negative and unrealistic) story around it that he actually believes.
Truly his mind will go to great lengths to make him feel ashamed and inadequate, often at the expense of being reasonable and realistic.
Desperate -- Jacob is extremely eager to please and will do just about anything if you would pleaselikehimandhangoutwithhimsometimes, he even promises not to want very much of your attention and you definitely don’t have to do anything for him. It would just be nice if he could stand next to you a little, if that’s okay… With his desire to please other people and be mostly invisible, Jacob doesn’t really care if anything he does is a detriment to himself- and often it can be a detriment to others besides who he’s focusing on, so he’ll definitely have to make it up to them later, too… He doesn’t want anyone to be upset at him! But he’ll definitely do anything in his power if you ask him to. …No questions asked.

Planet ϟ Jupiter
In the Past: Jupiter was a planet defined by thunder and lightning. Citizens of Jupiter believed in harnessing the most powerful forces of nature and then manipulating them for their own purposes. It was a planet of storm chasers. The worse the weather turned -- and the weather on Jupiter was always chaotic -- the more the people of Jupiter rejoiced. Community was paramount on the planet. Jobs were often shared, and cohesion was praised above all else. Verdant fields of every shape of greenery flourished on the planet’s surface, nourished by its regular rain showers. The entire society, even the Princess herself, helped to round up the harvest every season.
Knights with particular affinities for magic, risk-taking, and teamwork found themselves frequently assigned to Jupiter. The people praised acts of bravery and selflessness and were renowned for being boisterous but warm. Though often associated with the people of Mars, Jupiter enjoyed a more lax atmosphere. Their focus was on attunement with the forces around them: both in the sky above and the dirt below. They just tended to do so with chest-bumps, hearty laughs, and regular slaps on the shoulder.
Jupiter was a very green planet with communities nestled in tiny pockets surrounded by fields on every side. It was common for an entire village to share facilities like bathrooms, kitchens, and living areas. Most slept in long rowhouses filled with dozens of beds. The aesthetic of the community was Vikingesque -- lots of leather, latched roots, ale, and sportsmanship.
In the Present: Jupiter easily had the most volatile climate in the Solar System, and the same holds true today. In the areas between wonders, extreme weather is to be expected. There is no such thing as a light drizzle on Jupiter. As such, the buildings were made to withstand the constant and violent shifts in the weather. Any part of the buildings on Jupiter which were not made of strong stone (such as wooden panels, glass windows, clay bricks, etc) has likely been destroyed over the years, torn apart by strong winds, washed away by flooding, or just destroyed by the lightning. The parts of the buildings that have survived are built low to the ground with heavy emphasis on stability. Anything of value was long since lost, either by lightning fires, wind, or water, but the shells of structures remain. Stone is the most commonly found material in the ruins, though some wood seems to have fossilized.
The terrain of Jupiter is as extreme as it’s weather, and between wonders it is not uncommon to find vast expanses of lush fields or high, dense forests. However, many of the forests sport trees that have long since died due to lightning strike, although there seem to be a few different species of plant that seem immune to the violent bursts. These are generally lower to the ground than their dead counterparts, utilizing the other, taller trees as a kind of lightning rod to divert lightning strikes away from the shorter trees. Shorter, of course, is comparatively speaking, as even the shortest trees are stories tall.
It is regularly cloudy on Jupiter, but despite that there seems to be a healthy plant life. Any flora has adapted to thrive either in shade, or make healthy use of the flashes of lightning that occur almost daily on the planet. It is raining more often than not and the rivers are common--often full and fast moving. The terrain is fairly flat, but there are many areas which have been dug out to try and protect from the lightning, and many trenches to divert the intense rain flow.
