For Order, it seemed like they’d done mostly what they needed to do.

The Technology team had gotten the building’s digital protections down, gotten information off of the computers, and gotten some civilians out of harm’s way, all while dealing with a General and his youma.

The Investigation team had gotten the safe open, revealed the location of a powerful emergency weapon and gotten access to it, and also collected other Negaverse plans and financial information that would give Order insight about the project in the coming days.

The Destruction team had destroyed the youmafying weapon, and the energy-draining ATMs, and a good portion of the outer wall of the building.

It didn’t seem like they were going to get away completely undetected, though. As they made their way out of the building, or shut down their laptops, or met up with the others, they would start to feel the Chaos auras flare into existence around them, not one or two now, but many.

For the Negaverse, The distress signals came late.

Any Negaverse agents that came onto the scene from a certain angle might have gotten a hint as to why that was as they found the lifeless body of the bank’s Head of Security laid out in a nearby alley, with a snapped neck.

The signals came, though, and when they arrived, alongside a dead agent, they would find Augusta Bank swarming with senshi and knights. A portion of the outside wall was smashed, and it looked like more would crumble in time. The windows on the lower floor glowed inside, not from electric lights, but from fire.

Security cameras were down, and it was difficult to tell from this angle what exactly was happening, what had already been done and what might be left to salvage. It was obvious, though, that it didn’t look good.

For two girls, it was a nice night to be out filming dance videos. After the very nice cosplayers had left them, they’d found themselves filming by a little pond in a green space, back across the street from the bank. A lot of people seemed to be in the area. They glanced over.

Mauvian Tama — A2

“Well, this isn’t good.”

There was a distress signal coming from the Mauvian’s new favorite bank and, as he approached, he could feel the signatures coming at his senses so heavily that it wrinkled his whiskers.

What could have possibly happened? Jada had control of Augusta Bank, hadn’t she?

Control was a tenuous word to use now. Something must have gone terribly wrong. But what?

And, more importantly, would he still get his full loan?

Tama stared down the alley, between the buildings and then to the body. There was a dead agent ahead of him. He jumped down from the rooftop he was observing from to investigate the cause of death.

His pink nose sniffed the agent as he drew quite close that his whiskers touched. And shivered.

Eternal Sailor Cybele
D2

As Cybele stood in front of the bank, her eyes were scanning the crowd. There were a few people that her eyes settled on, more than the others. There was Siegfried, of course, and Albireo, who Cybele knew was probably far outside of her comfort zone, but who had come out to help her all the same. There was Alastor, and Sessrumnir, who had given her a lot of advice on how to get this set up, a lot of help in making sure she wasn't simply being reckless. There was Anser, who had been her most heartfelt supporter this whole time.

Beyond her loved ones, though, there was a group of people who she didn't know as well, and they had all come out, too.

They were all here because she'd asked them to be. It was her job to make sure they all got away safely.

It had probably been a vain hope to think that they could get all of this done without being caught at all, without any kind of consequences, but it still made her heart leap to her chest to feel the auras in the distance. It wasn't that she was afraid of confrontation, herself. No.

It was that if anyone here was hurt, that blood would be on her hands.

"We just need to get out," she told them.

The destruction would come. She'd managed to plant explosives upstairs while the others had been in the safe.

Now they just needed to keep up the focus they'd shown during the mission, and get past the enemy.

She
needed to make sure that not a single one was left behind.

---

General Jadarite

Her bank was on fire.

Her bank was on fire. It was burning, and crawling with the enemy, and she did not know what had gone down, what had gone wrong. Usually, Jadarite was cool, calculated, but this?

Oh, this made her seethe.

She was one of the first on the scene, but even now, with rage in her chest and the new power of a General thrumming under her fingertips, she did not charge in. To do so alone would be stupid. That was how people lost their heads.

"They're attacking the bank," she spat into the communicator, to the team.

If there was ever a time that she needed that determination, that violence, that vengeance, it was now.

Negaverse Super Niter
Action: Arriving in a panic at C2.

When Niter got the distress signal, he was working in the Database room. That was to say, he was taking a nap in the Database room because he had finished what he said was two hours' worth of work in fifteen minutes, which afforded him an hour-forty-five nap. He'd only gotten an hour and three minutes of it when his tablet went off on the desk next to him, rousing him to an uncomfortable level of alarm.

Nobody ever asked Niter for help. That was partially because Niter was useless and partially by design (for no one should discover that he had any uses). So if his tablet was pinging a distress signal, then that meant someone was trying to reach anyone they could — even strangers, even the useless rabble that lined the lowermost ranks. That wasn't a good sign.

And when Niter checked the location for the signal, he heaved a sigh heavier than a tombstone. That was the bank — the one that just hired him for his admittedly useless services in IT. He'd had that job for like… A week. Five days? But it paid well, and it was run by the Negaverse, so he trusted the people running it more than any other strangers and he had high hopes that he'd actually be able to keep this job and not be replaced by his cousin, who always popped along and got everything handed to him effortlessly!

So he vanished, and when he reappeared, he stood next to a tree where he had watched the entrance of the bank for at least a solid two hours before starting his first day. Now? There was fire, and a whole broken wall, and somebody's just. Dead.

Niter swallowed.
"Um… Where can I help?" He asked over the communicator, hoping someone was both alive and in charge.

Quote:
Niter is radioing anyone!

General-King Faustite
Action: PicardFacepalm.gif at E4

Had the signal come from any other location, Faustite would have left it for the rest. There was a measure of self-preservation inherent in the amount of energy invested in him, and he was hesitant to waste it on getting himself killed at the first opportunity. There was still much for him to learn before he could begin making something of his new abilities — foremost at his mind was the ******** weapon that didn't seem much like it was made to slice or stab anyone — but his tenuous new survival instinct was instantly banished to the Rift once he registered the location on the signal.

Augusta Bank. While Faustite didn't remember s**t-all about the plan beyond take over a financial institution he remembered the name of the institution and the two team members of his who intended to claim it themselves.

His cup of tea was choked down and Faustite wasted no further time in teleporting across the way from the bank itself. He winced when he realized he was competing for hottest object in the vicinity; someone had blown the hell out of the structure and left it on fire, too.

Seemed a little late to be calling for reinforcements, then.

He spoke into his communicator. "Jadarite. Borax. Need a loc for a regroup." Hard to make out anyone in that mess, beyond the host of White Moon auras and a few dead. With everyone scattered to the winds, they would be in poor fighting form for a counterinsurgency.

Transcended Eternal Sailor Anser, Senshi of Geese
Location: B2
Action: Sending out the distress signal for Order!

The moment she planted the explosives and they were ready to go, she bolted.

She bolted as far as she could away from the walls of the bank, and delighted in seeing it explode. There was a part of her that delighted even more when she looked to the side and saw a general falling off the top of the building, crashing to the ground nearby. There was another part of her that wasn't necessarily delighted, but relieved. They were doing something.

They were doing something, and it was being noticed.

Anser could feel them, the Chaos, beyond the massive pulse that was caused by her and Tanais working to plant explosives and blow the damn thing up. It had worked! It had definitely worked!

Well, wrong for them! This was a ******** win for her!

To her fellow members of Order, she hammered the distress signal button, declaring as a recording, "Come to Augusta Bank! They had a youmaifying weapon here and we got it but now--"

Now the Negaverse was obviously angry, and there were suddenly a whole lot of them. She was fairly sure one of them was radioing for more.

The dead General nearby probably didn't help.

Not that she cared. He probably had murdered far too many.

General Chalcanthite
Location: B1 (Rooftop)
Action: Looking to pick off senshi from his position

Chalcanthite wasn’t far when he got the signal, it was a bit distressing to see a bank burning but at least his money was somewhere else and very very safe. There wasn’t much in the way of a briefing so he would just pick off who he could to at least try and make them scatter. Thinking for a moment, he shot off a text to Liam letting him know something was up and not to worry. He would explain later why he was going to be late for dinner.

There was a fire going on at the bank so the best place for his skill set would be the building next to it, he could feel order auras all around and saw the chaos that was ensuing from everything going on.

He made his way up to the roof easily and readied his bow as he saw at least one senshi making their way away from his position, leaving the safety of the building’s walls. Aiming for their hip or lower center of mass, he let loose one of his broadheads at them. Hopefully that would cut her message short.

Eternal Corrupt Sailor Chrysocolla, in B2
Standing around. Try her.
Distress signals were such a pain. All it meant was that some stupid idiot was in way over their head, and they needed someone to bail them out, and they weren't picky who they wanted to come do it.

It didn't mean she wasn't going to go! She was, of course. It'd been a while since Chrysocolla had gotten into a good fight, and if she was lucky --

The teleport settled. She was lucky. A lot of basics who wouldn't be able to put up too much of a fight, without numbers. Basics never did. They just didn't have enough magical strength to be worth being considered anything else but basically gum on her shoes; something annoying she had to deal with, briefly, but nothing that could actually really bother her at all. And it looked like there were a bunch who were young, too! That was good. She'd get to teach them a lesson about how their actions had consequences, maybe; if they were old enough to come here, they were old enough to regret it.
The only real downside here was Cybele over there, because Chrysocolla didn't like her. And also... Jadarite? What was her name. That sounded right. She was one of Faustite's, and for a moment Chrysocolla really, really thought about turning around and teleporting right out of here, because if Jadarite died that was one problem she didn't have to worry about actually messing with herself. Was she allowed to kill anyone on Team Faustite personally? No, she wasn't an idiot; at best that'd get her turned into a youma. But it was one of her nice little daydreams she'd been entertaining recently.

It wouldn't have worked. There was already a General teleporting in, dragging a senshi with zem, so no chance she could leave Jadarite to a messy fate. Ugh. And... it was really hard to tell with all the signatures crowding around, but was that a Mauvian? Negaverse? Worthless. Mauvians were slightly harder to fight than a real actual cat, but their bones probably broke easy. Some other Negaverse senshi she didn't know, but he really, really was not impressing her right now from what she was seeing him do at a distance.

And <******** Faustite himself, because she had apparently never been lucky in her entire life, and it was really too much to wish for a building to fall on him, she guessed!

There wasn't any point in saying anything. She wasn't really a monologuing type of girl. Chrysocolla cracked her knuckles, centered herself, and waited.

------

General Larimar, in Starting at C3, teleporting to E2
Teleporting in, charitably threatening to kill everyone, and then teleporting to attack Kaifeng
Goddddd ******** damn could ze get ONE ******** night off?? No! No, apparently, because ze was the universe's favorite punching bag. Well, ******** the universe right back. If it was so goddamn obsessed with zem just having absolutely miserable dogshit nights one way or another, it'd get what it had coming to it. Did ze technically have to respond to a distress signal? No! Would ze be a remotely competent General if ze got the distress signal and just decided to keep on ignoring it? Still no! It wasn't like ze had a choice in that, as far as ze was concerned.

Ze'd been nearby, roughly, so it wasn't too much of a hardship to sprint and teleport the rest of the distance, and then one final teleport to settle zemself in the middle of what was probably going to be the fray. Or at least the middle of the engagement? It was central enough, and it was flat enough, which was what mattered. Footwork was everything.

"Don't you all have anything better to do at this hour," Larimar said, drawing zyr rapier and dagger, easily falling into the correct posture. At least this was something ze was good at, unlike everything else, which was how the week really felt like it was going. Sometimes being a remorseless villain was really good stress relief! It was like squeezing one of those stress balls with the pop-out eyes, except with more morality and malicious cackling. "I'm not complaining! If you all want to die so badly, I'm free all night."

Easy to reach and twist and pull to drag Aschera through. Any backup was better than none. With that sideglance to check on him, it did look like he was about to give backtalk, which ze was really not in the mood for. "Earn your ******** keep, Aschera," Larimar snarled through zyr teeth, and then scanned the surroundings for a target -- yeah, that guy. That guy would do. Half-hidden behind a wall -- too many auras to tell, but from what ze could see, outfit didn't look ornate enough to be too high-rank --

In a blink, Larimar was gone. In that same blink, ze was behind Kāifēng, a look of malicious glee on zyr face as that motor energy drove zyr arm with the sword out. "Bad luck." God, not zyr best bet of banter, but it'd been not too loud, so maybe nobody'd heard?

He wouldn't die! Ze wasn't aiming for fatal. Or even crippling. (Probably. If it did cripple, well, these things happened.) Ze was, however, aiming to hurt.

Basic Corrupt Sailor Aschera, in C2
Standing around and rolling her eyes.
"Really," Aschera said, incredulous, as she took a second to find her balance on whatever she was now standing on; and then, as if that hadn't been weighty enough, "really?" General Larimar knew he wasn't much of a fighter, given he needed his face a lot of the time for a wide variety of things, and also his hands. Any injuries that couldn't be easily concealed were a problem, and it was a topic of -- contention was not the right word. It was something that Larimar had decided was not worth bitching about, as long as she kept on quota and came when called. Which was its own irritation, but his general was not generally prone to calling him to zyr location with no prior warning.

This? This was what 'no prior warning' looked like. Aschera folded her arms across her chest, putting on a frown that edged closer to pouting, and tried to get a good look around. This looked like it was about to be an absolute shitshow, and it wasn't as if he wanted to be here for it, but. Well. Unfortunately, walking out did not seem to be an option, and he couldn't teleport quite yet.

"Earn your ******** keep, Aschera," her General said -- well, snapped, really -- and Aschera bit back all the things she would've liked to say. Not in public. This wasn't the time for that. Damn whatever aspect of magic had decided he was a touch-range caster. Without any actual history of getting into group fights in person, she didn't want to just go lunging for someone and get her arms broken, because she was smarter than that. Especially given how many of the people here had a power advantage on her, both from the feel of the sixth-sense air -- a little like a summer with a flood of mosquitos out and about -- and from just looking at them, plain and simple. Wings and capes were the easy denominators for someone being of the sort of rank Aschera, under no circumstances, wanted to ******** with; and even beyond that, fancier uniforms typically correlated with higher power, she'd found.

And there was Larimar, off on zyr merry way to go stab some poor unfortunate, because whatever chip ze had on zyr shoulder it was approximately the size of at least Michigan. Plus the Great Lakes, it was seeming. Ideally this was not Aschera's problem! Ideally a lot of things, many of them taking place on this street at this very moment, were not Aschera's problem. If anything, perhaps he could count on the sheer mass of bodies and Order's supposed tendency to play soft to keep alive and safe. Who was Larimar going to ask if he'd done his job? Another General? Not in a million years, because that would've made zem look weak and like ze didn't have control of zyr subordinates. Or something along those lines. Aschera had known plenty of control freaks in her life; Larimar's access to a sword at all times did put zem a step above the rest, but the obsession with never needing or asking for help was familiar. He'd seen it a million times. It was, even, predictable.

Oh, this was going to be a shitshow. She could feel it in her bones.

LIEUTENANT ANDESINE
Action: Running in to come help @ B1 (ground-level).

Andesine had been out draining when the distress signal came in. Mother’s Day had been a fiasco—in that nothing bad had happened whatsoever and even with Andesine having two moms, family brunch hadn’t really been that stressful—and she’d spent the whole tedious ordeal thinking about how much more she could have been doing that would have been remotely useful. Not that the idea of going out and solo-draining during the daytime hours sounded like the best ideas (though perhaps it had the benefit of being unexpected), but her work for the Negaverse simply meant more in the grand scheme of things than listening to her parents (all four of them) indulge one of her future siblings-in-law with his asinine ideas about everything.

Maybe it wasn’t the best response to a literal distress signal, but nevertheless, Andesine felt her blood start pumping, even before she took off from the drunk civilian she’d just finished leeching off (not enough to kill him, but enough that he would’ve felt it pretty bad if he’d been sober). She only briefly paused to curse the fact that she couldn’t teleport yet.

Armed with her jingle bells and her determination to fight for the Negaverse, Andesine ran toward the bank, toward whatever havoc those contemptible rats from the White Moon were wreaking.

KAIFENG, PAGE OF SATURN
Action: Wandering into some chaos, getting stabbed, and face-slapping Larimar @ E2.

Patrolling for Kāifēng had, so far, been a largely enjoyable experience. If not for the fact that Táotáo tended to look incredibly confused about him powering up in the apartment, he might have tried to bring her with him. Wouldn’t that have been fun? Just a magical knight and his dog, striking out into the wilds of Destiny City to protect the innocent from all of the wonderful little things-that-went-bump-in-the-night that called this place home. There were more of them out there than Kāifēng had ever realized before, as he’d learned in the past week? Week-and-a-half? Something like that, he felt pretty certain.

Whatever had happened at the bank, Kāifēng hadn’t been involved. Hadn’t known that it was happening, either. The signet ring he’d found up at his Wonder was still new to him, and he had yet to figure out all the best way to connect with other magical knights or the senshi out there, like Fang. So, Kāifēng didn’t know what he and his pretty silk folding fan (currently closed up) were running into—maybe he’d get someone to fill him in later, but in the meantime……?—well. Sometimes, monsters appeared as towering beasts composed of all manner of miscellaneous parts from different animals (whether real or mythical), assembled in the most absurd fashions one could imagine. Other times, though, monsters wore three-piece suits that cost more money than some people’s rent for an entire year.

And sometimes, monsters swooped in behind you while you tried to assess the situation somewhat.

Sometimes, monsters felt like a youma aura flaring up on this new sense that he’d unlocked at Awakening. Other times, they felt like something sharp and quick, jabbing you in the side. Kāifēng gasped in pain. Then, groaned in it. Vaguely, he was aware that removing the blade was the worst idea but it you had to do it, then you needed to apply pressure (Líanlí had once composed some video intro music for a true crime video-essayist on the Youtubes, and she’d mentioned something about this in a video on things from movies that didn’t work in real life).

So, pressing as hard as he could on the hip near his stab wound—and once again thinking “Hayden is going to be Completely Insufferable when he says ‘I told you so about cardio and meditation not being enough on their own’”—Kāifēng whipped around. He didn’t pause long enough to drink in all the details of whom he faced. Shorter than Kāifēng himself, younger probably, pink hair, black outfit (very snazzy), and, from the feel of zyr aura, considerably more powerful than Kāifēng. But that didn’t mean he could just give up.

“Bad manners,” he quipped back—why waste extra words when this one wanted to keep things brief. With that said, he flicked his fan first at this a*****e’s hat (because why not knock it to the ground?), then slapped the bamboo edge against zyr cheek.

Super Hestia
Location: D-2
Action: sniping Larimar in E2 then running toward

The chaos auras continued to close in, and a slightly singed Hestia was practically bouncing on her toes. Of course there was going to be a fight, she'd have been disappointed if there hadn't been a fight. She tried so hard, so often to avoid them. Run away. Diminish harm, don't add to it. And yet...the desire to fight never truly diminished. Instead it grew and grew, until violence was the water of her peaceful little desert. Of course she wanted to fight. She always wanted to fight.

A figure flashed in nearby, stabbing a knight of some sort, and Hestia was trying not to grin, as her hand brushed over her brooch, "It's time to shine!" And a harsh beam of light was directed at Larimar's eyes. Even as the words faded, she was running toward the fray.

Basic Sailor Cepheus, A1
Hiding on the roof
So Cepheus had been right about the 'bigger problems'. Part of that had been because the bank was incredibly on fire and probably going to be equivalently exploded soon, if she remembered the stuff that team had been carting along, which seemed a little excessive, but hey: she hadn't actually signed up for this, she'd just tagged along with Anakeion, and it wasn't as if she'd been part of that team anyway. But that was a lot of people showing up, and she really didn't like that.

She'd made the deal with Anakeion, anyway. If fighting started, if anything big started happening - Cepheus' job was to hide and stay out of the way. She was going to get her battle experience fighting people her own power level and fighting youma, if Anakeion had anything to say about it (and she did) (she had a lot to say about it, actually) (Cepheus heard this whole bit a lot; she listened through it with long-suffering patience at this point), and she really didn't want to fight people, anyway? People got mean.

Cepheus scrubbed her hand over her mouth, roughly, and tried to be very small.

-------
Anakeion Squire of Castor, D2
Just kind of trying to take it in
Walking out of the bank really had Anakeion feeling like one of those -- it was that one gif. The Community one? She visualized it in her mind as if it would make the Thirty Million Guys manifesting make sense. It did not. Walking out of the bank, Anakeion had felt like they'd collectively been reasonably competent and good at their jobs, but here came the Negaverse to be the Creep Squad. The fall guys? This joke didn't even make sense to herself. It wasn't going anywhere. She let it go, shaking her head, and tried to focus on the moment.

But hey. Hey? Hold up. Hold up? She'd only seen the guy when he was basically in magical hospice, but Anakeion was pretty sure there was only so many kinda-twinky guys who were on fire in Destiny City. Hopefully. Maybe the Negaverse had a new initiative or something, which was great for them, but also raised a lot of questions, so she was going to assume it was the other option here, pick door number one -- "Didn't he die," Anakeion said, looking at Faustite and squinting. "Like, I was pretty sure he died??" Or turned into a youma, whatever, same difference, she didn't feel like going into semantics outside of her own stupid head; talking was not a free action. Frequently she reminded herself of that, even!!

Sailor Terebellum, Deep Space Senshi of Resonance
Location: D5
Action: Protecting the girls filming!

Everything went a** over teakettle very quickly. There was success from the demo team about the ATMs and... some sort of youmafication device?? Others from the tech team had dealt with a general, and his youma, and gotten some people to safety. She was sure info had done something good too. Problem was though, was the surge of Chaos auras.

Including an incredibly strong aura from her right that was swiftly accompanied but at least two others. The slam of auras around her made her stagger and she sprinted back to the girls they'd left doing Tick Tocks on their phones. Terebellum still had no idea what they were, but at least she could do her best to keep them from being killed.

(She knew what the girls where; they were human. What she didn't understand was the whole Tick Tock dance thing. She got the point that they were filming themselves dancing to music from the phone, but she did not understand the whole point of doing the thing in the first place. Then again, a lot of Earth's culture confused the heck out of her and it was hard for her to really... understand. Or see the desire to do it. Probably because she'd spent so long trying to make herself as invisible as possible before stasis...)

"Get behind me!" she shouted, skidding to a stop in front of the girls. White hair settled around her as her tail lashed, yellow eyes firmly placed on Faustite and his crew. "You need to get out here, now!"

The senshi of Resonance shifted into a battle stance, fists tight. She'd protect these girls if it was the last thing she did.

Siegfried, Knight of Neptune
Location: D2
Action: Taking up a defensive position in front of Cybele

That bad feeling in Siegfried's gut exploded in full on dread as Chaos auras started to pop into existence around them. He gritted his teeth, brandishing the cutlass with perhaps more force than he was intending. The whole bank was a draining operation and had some sort of youmafication system. By the stars it was nasty and very typical of the Negaverse, and now it was in flames.

And Chaos had come to find out what was going on, and retaliate in fashion.

He held his tongue, glancing at Cybele out of the corner of his eye. Siegfried's anger was a tightly leashed beast on a good day, and today was not one of those. Not when the ATMs had exploded. The safe exploded. A dead General sat in an alley.

Not when the monster that had tried to destroy Cybele in the first place was standing yards away, radiating even more power than the last time he'd seen him. If he'd died and come back like that? They had to hope they had someone to handle him as as gods damned General King.

But he kept his mouth firmly shut. Now wasn't the time to read Cybele the riot act about this whole event. Now wasn't the time to take her to his wonder and leave her there for her own damn safety.

"I swear, Cybele, if you try to take on Faustite, I will drop you on my wonder until you calm down," he said, his anger slipping past his restraint. "So stay behind me, and let's get everyone out of here."

He gave a look to Albireo that said, 'keep an eye on her'.

Super Sailor Mizuki, Corrupt Senshi of Lilacs
Location: F2
Action: Waiting orders!

Mizuki rocked back on her heels as she popped into existence next to Faustite. The flames were incredibly pretty, though not as much as her dad's fire, of course. She hadn't heard much about the operation - in the following days since Faustite's promotion to General King and her... rather enthusiastic murder spree, she'd been given strict orders to lay low and calm down. Mostly it was because she'd consumed so many souls in a relatively short time span the med team was worried she'd youmafy on a moments notice. She wouldn't! She was stronger than that!

Exhaustion, grief and the crash from the starseeds was a wild combination, and she'd slept for almost three days afterwards.

Mizuki took it easy after that, doing just her energy quotas and absolutely not taking any starseeds. It was hard. It was boring, but it was safe. Her dad was alive, after all, she didn't need to burn the whole city to the ground now! It did leave everything very boring and lacking in excitement though.

So when the distress call came in? Oh she hopped on that faster than white on rice (an expression that confused her to no end, but sounded cool).

"Let me know where to direct my attentions, Fausty," she said, hands tucked behind her back as she surveyed the field.

No Preamble for General Prehnite
Location: B2
Action: Admiring someone’s handiwork with Tama.

*Yes, that’s indeed a corpse. Shacca-shacca neck snap and all. Lookit order, getting their hands filthy with it —*

The thought was distant and Prehnite wondered, after receiving the call and gingerly appearing at Tamas back; who exactly he should consider assigning blame too. Certainly there were enough signatures around — but only a few he considered bloodthirsty enough to go so far as to leave bodies in the streets.

Order wasn’t playing around then. That seemed important. Certainly it was something to take note of, to tilt his head over curiously — “Corpses rarely are. You know how the saying goes, right? Where there’s a corpse—“

And equating the passing of a personage as a sign preempting a battle to that of smoke coming before a fire didn’t quite translate — or it wouldn’t have, save for the fact that when he turned his head to the left from where he stood next to Tama he could see actual fire — the telltale tint of it glinting out the frontage windows of the first floor of the bank.

Damn — such a shame. Such a waste, and here he’d had high hopes for getting proper funding for his future projects! True most were personal in nature, but still!

There’s a fire— Ah — no, but you see Tama? It’s things like this. This is why we can’t have nice things.”

It’s Absolutely Corrupt Albite, Eternal Husband of Retribution
Location: A4
Action: At his Jbirds Service! Bouncing on his heels and awaiting further instructions! <******** many friends here!! Lookit all the Auras!!!*

The thought so chock full of fluff Albite nearly had to hold his breath just to think it!! He could barely contain himself, nor his massive burgeoning bosom full of excitement!! The auras in all directions — friends - foes - the sorts that were all kinda of inbetween. It was a familiar feeling that he was mixed on! It’d been a hot minute since he’d gotten himself I but I it and he didn’t know where he stood with half the people round by any margin at all! What he did know was that the call that he caught coming in meant it was absolutely go time! (As if he could’ve resisted a call from Jadarite Queen of ‘*Hell yes, let’s bankroll a broke boy!*’ She was his girl after all - always~)

What he didn’t know right in that moment as he popped into view and straightened himself outta his messy stance and into something like attention — was whether or not he should be complimenting Jada on her heels just then —- god damn she looked good as a General. Just as good as Faustite get five hundred feet away as KING!

Focus though — fire — dollars — the slight squinch of her flawless features that meant she was less than pleased and for once it wasn’t with him!

Cause on the one hand? The bank being a bit on fire just had to be bad, right, maybe? It was a possibility! But his gauge for bad was skewed so far off center that there was no longer a way for him to be sure unless he openly asked. He considered doing so very carefully, then decided that he could wait till after auras and blazes alike were put out —- put down —- leant to opening his mouth without all the flashy comments and instead asked oh so severely and with the most generous grin:

“What do you need, General Jadarite.” Albite asked easy as breathing. As if he figured, in all Jadas wisdom, she’d have some insight on where to point him and let him loose, and hell, even if she didn’t? Having permission to be let loose was usually good enough for him!

Captain Borax
Location: A5
Action: Livid. Giving Faustite a regrouping point (edge of A5, near A4)

This was not the reason he expected to be pulled from the fun he was having. To be honest, though, this was not the reason he expected to be pulled from anything. They had done everything they were supposed to do. They had armed the bank with defenses. They had gathered all their quotas, they had manipulated the former owners and staff with words and money, they had set up cameras and even a crystal that would take care of the threat.

In ******** theory.

To say that Borax was seeing any color, it would have been most accurate to say it was red. Red like the blood he wished was flowing out of every single one of these ... mm.

Before his mind let him get too carried away with the fantasy of what he would do to some of their enemies if given even a modicum of a chance, he heard Faustite's voice across the communicator, and shifted his attention to strategic planning. A regrouping point seemed ideal; they could formulate a better counterassault if they weren't floundering to get their s**t together. Evidently, the other side already had that s**t together. Considering what happened at that not-purification, to say he was surprised would be... a misnomer.

"Best to regather in a place where we can actually see each other." Borax's voice across the communicator could best be described as cold as he evaluated the mental map of his bank. As much as he wanted to teleport in and check on what had been done to his ******** office, it was probably best to keep away from the bank for now. He also did not want to propose where there already seemed to be a cluster forming. "I propose we meet kitty-corner from the bank in the indent in the shores of the pond. It gives us a good vantage point, and will be naturally isolated as I don't think these ******** can just breathe water."

Of course, there was that fish senshi.

Roka didn't count.

Presuming his advice would be taken, he teleported over there, relatively near to where Jadarite was already stationed.
