She sighed as she looked at her daughter. Akeldama could see the bite on her hand and knew that she needed to get the antivenom for her. She turned and looked at the shelf. By the fang marks alone she knew the species. Akel had messed around with them enough to figure them out. It was why her fingers were stained; she dabbled in poisons and venoms. She also coated her weapons with them on occasion.

Ali 1
She had tears in her eyes as she held her arm by the wrist. She was squeezing so that the blood flow up her arm was slowed. "Oma.." She said quietly.
The young Elaria had been bitten while she was out in the woods. She hadn't meant to be so careless but she knew her mother would be able to handle it better than a healer. She had always found it interesting when she was younger, the shelves of poisons that lined the wall in the back room. The one her and her sister weren't allowed in without supervision.

She heard her daughter and looked over her shoulder at her. "Its alright." Akel nodded her head as she grabbed the bottle she was looking for. Once it was in hand she headed back to Alizeh.
"You did the right thing. Slowed the flow and came to me." She kept her voice calm. Having a panicked tone would only set her daughter off. She opened the bottle and motioned for her daughter to get closer. "Come here."

Her head nodded a few times but it didn't stop her from feeling like panic was just beneath the surface. Ali watched her mother get closer with the bottle. She was curious about what was in the bottle but she didn't really have it in her to ask. She was in pain and worried that the venom in her system would cause damage. As she was motioned forward she took the few steps needed to be right in front of her mom. Of course she looked up at Akel with some curiosity.

With Ali being right in front of her she gave a reassuring smile but reached up to grip her chin. "Tilt your head back and open up." She gave the instructions and brought the bottle up so that she could pour some of the antivenom directly into her daughter's mouth.
She counted to two and then stopped. "Swallow that." Akledama released Alizeh's chin and then went to close the bottle before she forgot.

She did as she was told and tilted her head back and opened her mouth, still holding onto her wrist. Ali was surprised when the liquid it her mouth but didn't flinch so it wouldn't go everywhere. With the command to swallow the antivenom she brought her head back up right then did that as well.
It was bitter to the taste and she shivered once it was down. "Ugh.. that tastes horrible." Scrunching up her nose she eyed her mother with some worry. "Will I be alright Oma?"

"How long ago were you bitten?" Akel wanted to know what the time frame was from the time the venom entered her daughter til she got the antivenom. It would help her to better gauge how to handle this.
"Sweet girl, you will be alright. I will fix it." She moved over to grab a bowl of water and a rag. Venom aside she still had to treat the bite. And she wanted to get it taken care of before Pruu got home and saw.

"A couple minutes? Maybe twenty?" It had happened and she immediately ran home. Though she had tried to to keep her heartrate down. She knew if the venom spread too fast then she would be in trouble.
"I'm sorry Oma. I wasn't paying attention." She hadn't seen the beast until it was too late.

When she heard her daughter apologize for being bitten she shook her head slightly. "Not your fault. While I want you to be aware of your surroundings, sometimes things get past us. Even me on occasion." Akel wanted to reassure her child that it would be alright. She certainly wasn't in trouble for this.
With the water and rag in hand she went back to the table and set them down, motioning for Alizeh to join her. "Come soak your hand."

She nodded her head as her mother told her it was alright; again. She knew that. She knew she wasn't in trouble but she still felt like she should have been more aware of her surroundings than she was. It certainly would have kept her from getting bitten. Luleta wouldn't have gotten bit.
She huffed a little but walked over to put her hand in the bowl so that she could soak it and let her mother clean the bite. "Lu-lu will probably laugh at me."

She blinked a few times. "I doubt your sister will laugh at you for being bit by a venomous snake." Akeldama shook her head after saying that and dipped the rag into the water to get it wet. Once that was done she gently started to wipe at the puncture marks on her daughter's hand. "She'll be worried though." Luleta was protective of her sister and vice versa.
Akel did pause momentarily and cringe. "Your mother is going to panic." If Pruu were to walk in and see Alizeh's hand now she might freak out. It wasn't cleaned up from the blood and the venom wasn't out yet.

Hearing that her sister wouldn't laugh at her made her nod. Ali knew Lu would be worried. The two of them worried about the other back and forth all the time. However, when her mother mentioned Pruu she paled a little and looked up at Akel with wide eyes. "Can we not tell Mata?" A small cringe of her own was given.
She didn't want to cause her poor Mata to panic and freak out over something that could be easily fixed.

"If only it were that easy." Akel chuckled a little. "I am not convinced that your mother doesn't already know there is something wrong." She was convinced her partner had a sixth sense for when their girls got hurt sometimes. It was like Pruu instantly knew when something was wrong.
"I should be able to get you all cleaned and patched up before she gets home though." So that would lessen the panic hopefully.

She groaned. Alizeh hated it when Pruu freaked out. Not because it was overbearing or anything, but because she always felt bad for making her mother panic. Especially now that she was a little older and able to understand how much it made her mother worry and fret. "Alright. Lets do that then." If she was lucky then her mother wouldn't make such a big deal out of it if Akel was able to down play the seriousness of the whole thing.

With a nod of her head she went back to cleaning the wounds on her daughter's hand. She wanted to make sure the blood, dried or otherwise, was gone. Then she gently pressed down to see if she could push any remaining venom out. Akeldama knew that part had to hurt a little.
"If you start to feel dizzy let me know." Akel wanted to watch out for signs that the venom had already taken effect. She suspected that a fever and some light headedness would happen she just didn't know when it would take effect.
