Plotting General Information

This is a place for you to set up a thread solely dedicated to your characters and the plots you would love to run with them! While the setup of your thread is completely up to you, there are a few basic things we hope you will keep in mind!

• This is an OOC forum meant to solicit RPs and plot with other players! Feel free to propose and discuss ideas as you much as you like!
• Keep posts and plots PG-13. Gaia ToS apply!
• Please be polite and considerate of the plots of other players. Not everyone will agree upon a plot. You are welcome to give suggestions and work with others but please be respectful and courteous if you are turning down a plot. Please also understand that some people may not wish to partake in certain plots because it may not benefit their character’s story or affect what they have already plotted.
• Please keep to one plot thread for your characters. If you desire to create a new plot thread, we ask that you please mark the old one as closed and discontinue posting within.
• If you are running an event, you can create another plot thread outside of your personal plot thread! This is a great way to inform, recruit and plot for a specific event (especially if it is intended to be large scale!) While large scale powered events usually need approval from the shop mule, The Space Cauldron, a Civilian Only ORP (such as dates, games, parties, general get-togethers or other events that will notuse any powered element or monsters), staff approval is traditionally not needed. If you intend to run a large event for any Powered Characters, please submit a write up to Staff for review prior to setting up an Event Plot Thread.
• If you aren't sure if you should submit approval or not, please feel free to ask a moderator or PM the shop mule, The Space Cauldron! If you give us a brief idea of what you want to run, we'll be happy to clarify if you can run your plot without a full write up or let you know if we need more information! If you need to submit a full plot, the staff will do its best to get you an answer as quickly as possible, address any questions, and help make things possible within shop lore and rules.

Submitting Plots to the Mule

If you have a large plot in mind or aren't sure if some things will fly, you'll have to PM the shop mule, The Space Cauldron, for approval. The only reason this is required to make sure the events don't break game mechanics and to make sure events aren't being run at overlapping times! While not all plots will be able to be run exactly as they are written, the goal of the RP Staff is to help work with you to adjust plots until they can be run! A plot will never be denied based on personal bias, but some plots will need to be tweaked to ensure the game can be played fairly, mechanics are not broken, and factions are not played OOCly to accommodate a player. We will always try to provide alternatives or suggestions if we can! The shop may provide a Crown Token for running an open ended event that allows players to participate (such as events with sign ups, or ORPs). The shop may also provide Crown Tokens to be distributed as prizes if the hosting player is interested.

While the shop will do its best to ensure that players can run approved plots, we do require players to touch base with us if it's been longer than a year since a plot was approved and has not yet been run. Rules may change in that time period so it's important for the shop to make sure all plots can be run without consistency issues!

A few things should always be submitted for permission with the mule:

• NPC Interactions
• Plots where your character or your story would be doing something that affects DC or a large portion of the RP cast as a whole
• Plots where your character would be altered in such a way that they're substantively different from the profile you applied with. This is mostly applicable in the case of side swapping, and more information on that can be found here! This would also include plots that involve a glamour change without a side swap, a character death, or a character pregnancy.

There are generally no specific forms for submitting a plot (unless it is a faction swap!), but it helps to think about a few things while preparing a plot for submission:

• Who is supposed to be involved in these plots? Is it a few specific players? Will there be open sign ups or is it a closed group event? Is it designed for a whole faction, or anyone? This helps give us an idea who the plot is geared towards and how large you are expecting it to be!
• How long do you expect it will take? This is most important in events designed to be run as ORPs/with sign ups; this gives us an idea of how long you want to run your event, and knowing when you intend to run gives us the ability to let you know if we are aware of any major events happening in the shop at the same time.
• Have you double checked faction rules? If you are running an event for a specific faction, it helps to be familiar with them! This doesn't mean you can't try to run an event for a faction, but doing as much research as possible usually helps!
• Know what the goal of the plot is; what do you hope to get out of this? If it's a private plot, what development do you expect for your characters and the others involved? If it's an event, what is the overall purpose? Having this goal in mind and making sure we know what you are aiming for will help us give better suggestions if revisions need to be made!
• Do you have your plot written fully from beginning to end? Try not to leave out important parts that help connect the story! We will always ask questions for extra clarification, but the more information you give us!
• If you are doing a side swap, have you filled out the forms? This is very important and the forms in the Information thread will help make sure you have all the information you need!

While we accept plots for nearly everything, there are a few things that are unlikely to be approved:

• Severely injuring or killing the Shop NPCs; these NPCs exist in our shop to fill roles that other characters cannot. While they can be requested for battle, severely maiming them is unlikely to happen, and if an NPC is slated for death it will usually be in a very public, group setting. Similarly, familial relationships or romance with an NPC will likely be denied.
• Create new stages; while players can absolutely send in any ideas or requests for us to consider, the creation of new stages or ranks usually comes with extensive writeups so that information can be accurately shared. It also requires the shop to factor this stage into all future events, and in some cases alternate stages may not have a role to fill with the shop meta.
• Create new factions; if a player has an idea or a request for a faction they'd like to see, they can send it in, but like the creation of new stages, factions are very deeply rooted in the metaplot of the story and take a lot of consideration before they can be introduced. It isn't as simple as just writing a few new guidelines; when creating a faction it is imperative to see how they will contribute to the story and fit into the bigger picture.
• Interact with canon or meta characters that are out of play or have not been introduced; if these characters are ever brought in, it will likely be for an event and serve a specific purpose wit have a specific set of rules. We prefer to avoid canon characters and instead focus on the characters that have meaningful impact on the story, so plots that involve characters from the canon universe will likely be denied.
• Plots that destroy large parts of Destiny City; while this may happen in shop run events, when the shop runs it they are prepared to deal with the consequences and will have full information ready for the playerbase. Player run plots should not be large enough to destroy large portions of the town or cause catastrophic casualties.

This isn't to say you shouldn't try to send in a plot that contain one of these elements if you feel like you have a solid idea and it is important to you, but plots of such a nature are generally very difficult to approve.

Roleplaying with NPCs

Each of the NPCs serve a special purpose in the shop; they each have individual specialties and are best suited for specific roles! If you have an idea and want to RP with an NPC, please just PM the shop mule, The Space Cauldron, to let us know what you have in mind! We've included a list of NPCs, links to their journals, and some general roleplay information!

The Code
Two very large pieces of the Code exist: one is at Olympus, Mars, and the other is on the Moon. The Code is a sentient force of energy that flows through the universe. To protect against anyone who would attempt to claim the power of the Code for their own, it was broken up and distributed. Knights were tasked to guard a piece of it; each Knight has a piece hidden in their Wonder. The Code is what provides Knights their magical powers. Each of the smaller pieces, such as those found on their wonder, can sometimes speak to guide a Knight in their plots or answer questions about their past. The Cornerstone Pieces—on Mars and the Moon—have more energy and are usually the only ones capable of addressing large audiences. These pieces can summon the Knights if needbe. The Code Piece at individual wonders usually remains silent, as communication takes energy; even the Code Pieces on the Moon and at Olympus will sometimes remain silent, though Olympus can be requested for use to ensure safety during Knight gatherings.

Queen Serenity
Queen Serenity is occasionally available for information purposes; she cannot technically interact with characters because she exists only in hologram form. If a player can think of a reason why finding a Hologram and learning specific information may be important, we can attempt to accommodate them here, but these holograms can only be found on the Moon.

Cosmos
Sailor Cosmos is a powerful senshi who guards the Galaxy Cauldron. She does not live on Earth but instead travels to the planet when she is needed. Any member of Order is capable of reaching her; their starseed simply has to 'call out' for her. Cosmos is generally quiet and wise; she rarely shows most emotions but is capable of purifications or as a source of information. While she cannot share meta information, she is good for guiding plots that require ancient or hidden information. She is also valuable if you have starseeds that need to be returned to the Cauldron. It is unlikely that Cosmos will ever participate in a battle unless absolutely unavoidable; her goal is to protect the Cauldron so she saves her power for defending it.

Caedus
Caedus is an ancient Velencian and the unawakened Sailor Velenia; his starseed is too mutated to allow him to properly awaken. Caedus is an ally of Order and has deep hatred for the Negaverse; he actively avoids Chaos but can be requested to interact with them in rare circumstances. He does not like to talk to them and does not trust them. He is practically an outcast of Velencya and members of the Vanguard may choose to ally with him or work against him; his goal is to protect Earth and find a way to restore Velenia without sacrificing his starseed to be reborn for a new Senshi to awaken with it. He is currently hiding out on Earth. He has a fondness for crystals and food and holds information about space. He wants to support Velencians, even if they disagree with him, and he wants to support Order. He is desperate to understand the secret to rebuilding worlds and hopes to redeem himself by finding a way of restoring life on his homeworld. In the rare circumstance that Commodore Lyndin absolutely cannot be utilized, he may be able to promote members of the Vanguard when he feels they are ready to advance in rank.

Commodore Lyndin
Commodore Lyndin is an ancient Velencian and the leader of the Vanguard. He believes that the only reason Earth has survived is because Metallia has protected it for so long and he thinks that the forces of Order are reckless and need more structure. He is only on Earth to track down Caedus and acquire his starseed to be reborn in the Cauldron so a new Sailor Velenia can be born and bring life back to their original homeworld. He supports all members of the Vanguard and can be reached by them at any point in time. He expects them to try to hunt Caedus but is also desperately researching other means to restore life on his homeworld. He does not consider Caedus an enemy, only a necessary loss to save their people. He currently stays in the Dark Kingdom and works on projects to try and find Caedus, reduce the need for starseeds, or ways to return life to his homeworld. Characters from any faction can request a roleplay with Commodore Lyndin; while he can fight, he is a fourth stage character capable of defending himself. He is qualified to promote members of the Vanguard when he feels they are ready to advance in rank. He is currently recovering from injuries sustained in battle and is in the process of recovering.

General King Lepidolite
Lepidolite leads the Infiltration Branch of the Negaverse and is in charge of integrating the Negaverse into the daily lives of the citizens of Destiny City. He is the oldest of the General Sovereigns but his wisdom is tarnished by playfulness. He is a charming, creative man who is constantly planning how to win others over and use his talents to benefit the Negaverse. He can aid in upgrades of Negaverse Agents as well as corrupting Senshi and Knights, though he prefers willing Corruptions to forced ones. In his civilian life, he serves as the Commandant of Romano's Constitutional Haven--a school he founded in hopes of finding the most viable new Negaverse recruits while also ensuring that newer recruits were receiving the best possible education while serving the Negaverse.

General King Axinite
Axinite leads the Information Branch of the Negaverse; before his transfer he lead the Special Operatives Branch, however a mission gone wrong cost him his group. He was badly injured and even when his body had recovered, he still couldn’t return to his position. Unwilling to let his talent be wasted, he was transferred to Destiny City to work Information. He is primarily interested in gathering information to understand the enemy and is involved in planning. He is well informed and is constantly researching people and ways to improve the Negaverse. Axinite is deeply invested in the well-being of Negaverse agents; he habitually checks on agents (especially those in the Information branch) that have not checked in for a while, as well as those in the hospital. He is available for Awakenings, Corruptions, and Growths and keeps his civilian life active and open to agents that might need him or someone to talk to.

General Queen Hessonite
Hessonite leads the Special Operatives Branch of the Negaverse and is in charge of running discrete, forceful operations against the Senshi and Knights as well as the punishment for traitorous Negaverse agents. She is the youngest of the General Sovereigns and is a bit more brash than the other two. She has a thirst for excitement, is a fierce, relentless fighter, and feels no remorse while doing her duty. She is best for Special Operatives related duties, delivering punishments or interrogations, and as a fierce combatant. She can aid in upgrades of Negaverse Agents as well as corrupting Senshi and Knights. In her civilian life, she is trying to make up for the memories she lost when she was corrupted into the Negaverse; she is always looking for thrills and new adventures.

Queen Laurelite
Queen Laurelite has taken the position Beryl once held; her loyalty as a General Queen to Metallia for several years was rewarded with this position and she now serves as mediator between Metallia and the Negaverse. Laurelite has immense power but cannot spend much time out of the Negaspace; her power came at a cost and she needs the Chaotic energy of Negaspace to keep her charged. She typically oversees the General Sovereigns and keeps the Negaverse moving while doing the bidding of Metallia. Laurelite is usually too busy for general interactions (and is unable to do any civilian RP) but can receive an audience.

Metallia
Metallia does not have a profile, nor is she in a positions where RP can be requested for her! She exists as the great evil that plagues this world; if you need a high ranking Negaverse agent for your plots, please see if the General Sovereigns can fit your need—and if they can't, Laurelite may be able to!

Questable Shop Plots

Sometimes as players pursue their plots, we will wind up with a new mechanic to release to the shop. Sometimes these will be faction specific, in which case they may wind up in the information thread of the appropriate faction. In other cases, these plots are meant to appeal across factions. These plots are being opened for other players to pursue after their release and will be shared here!

Players with ideas for plots that can unlock new features should PM ideas to The Space Cauldron so we can work with them on feasibility and potential releases!

Previously run and released shop plots are listed below.

Questable Shop Plots: Powered Bonds

Created by by Skye Starrfyre and Grymoire

A Pledge to Bond

Similar in theory to the way Mauvians form bonds with a senshi, this 'bond' is facilitated by the commitment of two individuals to one another -- a pledge. In pledging themselves to one another as a form of commitment, be it platonic or romantic in nature, bonded individuals may share access to their homeworlds/wonders with another senshi, knight, or in some cases even a civilian!

This is not immediately unlocked the moment two individuals pledge themselves to one another and must be earned through extensive plotting. In order to unlock independent travel to the homeworld or wonder of their pledged partner both players will have to submit a form stating their approval to the shop mule, The Space Cauldron.

Much like bonding with a Mauvian, in order for senshi/knights to allow someone to travel to their homeworld they must create a token that takes on a unique design based on the senshi/knights involved-- it could be something that a Mauvian would have to assist with creating, or in the case of characters who were pledged to one another in the past it could be as simple as finding their tokens/trinkets from the past. Either way, it should be something that they can each have a part of, or something similar to a matching set.

Guidelines

This pledge is for Order aligned characters (Senshi & Knights) and Civilians. Civilians who find themselves in a position to take part in this pledge are typically permanent civilians (those which a player has no intentions of powering up) that have committed a part of themselves to the protection of their powered partner's identity.

A character may only pledge themselves to one character at a time, so entering this bond should not be taken lightly! As this is different than the bond shared between a Guardian Cat and their Senshi, it is possible to share both that bond and a pledge, however.

A pair pledged to one another may travel to each other's Wonders or Home Worlds as though they were their own, the amount of times comparable to their rank. Civilians may travel as frequently as their pledged partner. The token is only capable of transporting the pledged individual to their partner's wonder or home world-- no additional guests!

OOCly, if this is something that you are interested in pursuing, please PM the following form to The Space Cauldron.

Form:

Senshi/Knight/Order-Allied Civilian:] (Please include a link to your journal!)

Pledging Themselves To: (Please include a link to their journal!)

Token: A guardian cat will need to design a token that will allow the pledged pair to teleport to each other's homeworld/wonder. These tokens will only be usable by the pledged and should have a unique design based on the pledged duo involved. Let us know what yours looks like!

Plot: There are no specific requirements for the plot leading to the point of the pledge, however there must be extensive role play between the two characters involved. Please tell us about your duo and why they would pledge themselves to one another, and also maybe a little bit about what you have in mind for how they come about their tokens to exchange the.

Confirmation of Approval: Please post here to acknowledge that you have confirmation from the senshi player ! You must have confirmation from your partner that your character may travel to their homeworld/wonder freely! If this approval is ever revoked (ICly or OOCly), your character cannot visit it alone! Additionally, if the pledge is ever broken (through death, corruption, or other means), the remaining half of the pledged pair will immediately lose the ability to teleport. The token will remain, but it will lose all magical abilities until such a time as the pledge is reestablished.

Powered Bonds FAQ

• Can a pledge be broken?
Yes. There are a number of situations which might cause a pledge to break, both IC and OOC. In the event a pledge is broken permission to visit a wonder or homeworld other than their own is immediately revoked. The token may break symbolically to signify this, but even if it remains intact it no longer works.

• What happens if a pledged civilian becomes a powered character?
In the event they power up to Order, the pledge is maintained, although the pair may update their tokens to reflect this change. Should they power up to Chaos, the pledge is broken and the bond is lost. The token may break symbolically based on the player's preference.

• What happens to their memories of the trips should either pledged person corrupt?
If either of the pledged characters corrupt, their memory will be affected to preserve the identity of their bonded partner. This may mean that their memories are unclear, that they forget who they traveled with or what the meaning of the bond was, or they may forget the trips altogether. They will not be able to use memories of this bond, or the trips they took, to decipher the civilian identity of any powered character aligned opposite of them.

• Why can't an order character make a pledge to a chaos?
While an Order character may pledge themselves to a Chaos character, in order to complete the bond the pledge would have to be returned. As they have no Wonder or Homeworld to connect to their partner, a pledge cannot be completed between an Order and a Chaos character. Civilians can make a pledge because Destiny City is considered their homeworld until such a point in time as they would awaken as an order character (if applicable).
