You must have a fishing rod base made of whale fin first to start. Anyone without a whale fin cannot actually fish, though they can cheer the others on.
Next, select a bait. Your goal is to catch as many fish as possible, as fish oil is valuable in village things, says the villager. He hands you a tin, and you randomly get a bait. Roll 1d6 to see what you get
1. You get nothing.. 2. You get the ear of a minipet 3. You get a ball of tiny spiders. 4. You get a giant spider. Seriously, this thing is huge. Like six feet huge. How did it even fit in there? 5. You get a decent sized worm. 6. You get the tail of a minipet
Now, with the bait, roll 1d100 to see how well you do. Make sure to rp accordingly with using the bait/tackling it/ figuring how to make it work. As long as you fish 11 or higher, your quest is a success. Otherwise, try again!
1-10: You fish up nothing.. 11- 30: You fish up an invisible sardine. Or wait, is it a real one? You can't tell. 31- 50: You fish up a decent sized bonefish. It is made of literal bones, how are they going to eat this? 51 - 80. You fish up a giant spider fish. It looks more spider than fish, and is about six feet tall. 81 - 100: You fish up a beautiful premium gourmet finfish. It's tail fetches a good price in the local village market and you are rewarded handsomely.

Now they wanted him to go near water. To get fish. From the water. In the water. Water. This was stupid.
Andrew approached carefully. He didn't actually want to be too close to the water. He settled himself more than a few feet back. Was it more than necessary? Probably. Was he going to risk it? Absolutely not.
Andrew had brought along more than a few things to help himself out. A sick, a bucket, and a towel. Where did he get those things? Well.... let's just say some poor sap was down a bucket and a towel.
The villager was lurking about and handed him some bait and a tin. "Ok.... I'm still not sure why you want fish oil..." They wanted it whatever. he might get something out of it. Andrew had a feeling that whatever it was, it wasn't worth the trouble though. Still something was better than nothing. He settled down on the towel and tossed his hook into the water.
And then he waited, and waited and then waited some more. Ok this was jacken boring. Andrew leaned back and spread his wings out. There wasn't really enough sun to make him comfortable but he settled into his spot letting his tail rest on the sand. Ok he might just call it nap time. The sand soaked up his warmth even through the towel.

Puella wasn't that picky about what she did with her spare time. It felt a little confusing doing something other than just leading TK around like he was some giant bony duck. Who was both smarter than her and better at fighting than she was (both of which made her feel a little odd, like why was she the one in the lead?). But it wasn't very long before she came across a familiar sight again: the pier, and the villagers manning it in search of precious fish oil.
"Hi again!" she called, waving merrily, before realizing that the villager wasn't the only familiar person around: there was Andrew, too, who she'd just chased off a sand whale with. And near him was a large pile of something that looked very familiar.
It was a spider! Or...or, well, another spider. One of the big ones, like the one she'd fished up that finfish with. He was fishing, too!
Well, there was no time like the present to join him. Puella reached into the seemingly ever-present villagers bait tin to pull something out, and it came out much easier than the spider had. But to Puella's surprise, it actually was spiders - albeit much smaller ones. She grinned cheekily at them and attached them to the fishing rod that'd just been formed from her new whale fin.
"Thought you didn't like water?" she asked, settling in next to Andrew.

A few feet back from Andrew sat an undead ghoul, staring at him in a concerned way. He was near water and that was bad.

"Hello again. You were right about them making whale fin fishing poles." he held his pole up a moment as he sat up.
"I don't like water. I don't want to be on it... but 10 feet away from the death trap? I'm fine." Andrew wasn't trying to put on a brave front or anything. He just didn't see any reason to panic when he had plenty of time to respond to anything that might try to drag him into the lake. Though knowing his luck, something might try too.
He sat waiting a while longer not noticing at the moment the other ghoul lurking behind him. They hadn't arrived together, so he didn't know she was there. Instead he just sat with a small smile on his face and relaxed for a rare moment. This was easy and just not nearly as stressful as the rest of the trip. Even if there was an odd conversation going on near by. He didn't see anyone but eh whatever. Suddenly the line started to tug an he reeled in his catch.
"Ok I think I'm having a spidery day." Andrew stared at the spider fish that he fished up that matched the one on the hook. It clearly had attracted to it thinking that it would make a good mate, less so much to eat, and they were tangled up in each other.
He looked at the spider ghoul, and then laughed gesturing to the reel.

"Yeah!" Puella grinned, pleased to have her own pole back again. She didn't seem to notice Andrew's false bravado at all, though, fortunately for him. "I s'pose that makes sense!" she said, even though he'd just said he'd never get on a boat. Well, they were on a pier now
She did briefly turn to see the undead ghoul, though, and sent her a quick wave. "I like your dress," she stage whispered. It was kind of sort of similar to Puella's own, which was possibly the reason she approved of it.
She didn't pay much attention to Andrew's progress - she'd already learned that fishing was mostly waiting around. Although it turned out it was a much easier process now that she wasn't carrying a piece of bait that was literally bigger than her. That had been trouble: although the troublesome part of it had mostly been getting it into the water. Still she tilted her head when Andrew started to see some struggling, though, and her mouth dropped wide open at the sight of what he'd caught. When he explained his own laughter Puella couldn't help but giggle too. "Oh Jack - you are having a spidery day!" she giggled. "I wonder how the villagers could even eat that. It's so big!" A large amount of oil could probably be harvested from it.
Just as she closed her mouth, though, she realized that something was biting at Puella's own line, and she hurried to grasp her rod with a large waving gesture. "A-ahhh!" she said, beginning to reel it in. "I - I'm - "
It was just a pile of bones. Puella held it up to the light, marveling a bit. "How would anyone eat this?" she asked.

"Yeah between you, the bait and the fish, spiders are everywhere." he took his stick and smacked the spider fish a few times, shoving it into the bucket somehow. That would do for now, he would take it over to the villager once he was done, and it was a little more dry.
He turned to look at what she fished up and got an amused look to see it. "I have no idea. That.. that's just weird." Andrew would not eat fish normally but he certainly would not eat that.
He probably had enough to get but but Andrew got ready to toss his line in again anyways. This was relaxing. Death defining but relaxing. He pulled out another bait and got ear of mini pet. Ok that was weird.
"Oh." he glanced at Olivia, she was here some how. was she creeping again? He was starting to suspect this was something she did. At least she didn't sneak up on him again.

Olivia remained where she was, her hands on her knees as she sat upon the ground. She did offer a return wave though and a bright smile but didn't say anything. Was she whispering? That seemed rather loud for whispering.
Andrew seemed to have finally noticed her though and she tilted her head slightly, her face a little grim and suspicious. Was he doing alright?

That ghoul sure was quiet, but at least it wasn't a mean kind of quiet. She'd smiled at Puella, after all! "Wanna join us?" she called, a little unsure as to why she was sitting back. "I'm Puella!"
"I had spider bait, too," she admitted. Hers had been cute and tiny and manageable, though. Like her baby photos, or something. Well, not that the big spider wasn't cute. But it was also bigger than Puella. That made it less appealing. "Um..." She laid her bonefish down next to her and reached for another piece of bait herself. It was some minipet's tail, scaly but bright in the newly-revealed sunlight. "Wow, this almost sparkles!"
