Personality:
Distant - Alionse tends to keep people at a distant, though he can come off as friendly once he gets over his initial shyness. But no matter how friendly he may get with a person he always holds himself back. It isn’t obvious to most people, but a person who is very observant and gets to know him well may realize that they hardly know anything about him deeper than the surface level.
Bad Tempered - It takes a lot to get Alionse angry, but when it happens the fallout can be brutal. If luck is with the person they’ll get a punch in the face. If they are unlucky, they’ll have the wrath of a Orderite that tends to hold grudges and has a cruel streak that’s just waiting to get out. For Alionse, vengeance is never too late to get.
Determined - Alionse is determined, once he makes a decision he does whatever it takes to accomplish it. Because he is this way, it takes him a while to make meaningful choices. He likes to observe everything and mull it over, before finally deciding, but once decided he acts and refuses to accept failure. In his mind, failure only happens when you decide to stop trying.
Reckless - Because of his determination, he tends to be reckless when he is set on a course, to the point where he is likely to fight until he passes out. When he is like this his survival instincts tend to fail him, as if somehow that part of him has been turned off. Usually, he only gets this way when he is really passionate about something or when he fights.
Logical – Maybe because he can be reckless when passionate, he tends to be logical in every other aspect. This means he can come off as a bit cold when he is making a decision. He weights the pros and cons, putting his personal beliefs first.
Blunt - Alionse’s logical nature makes him a bit blunt at times. He will simply tell a person that what they’re doing doesn’t make sense and why. Due to this he tends to keep his mouth shut around people he doesn’t know or are just acquaitances, unless he really just can’t help himself. The closer he is to a person the more blunt he becomes.
Open-minded - Alionse is open-minded, due to his own dark nature and his struggles to be a good person, he realizes the world isn’t as clear and orderly as it should be. Due to this he is open-minded to different ways of seeing things. He is quite willing to listen, learn, and observe. And he has no problem with admitting he’s wrong or changing his mind if you can convince him of a new view. Changing his mind doesn’t necessarily mean he will change his course of action though.
Compartmentalize – He tends to compartmentalize things and people. Basically, just because he may have become your friend, doesn’t mean he won’t fight you if you’re an enemy on the battlefield.
Selfish - He often puts his needs and beliefs before those of others.
Bloodlust – Alionse has a dark side to him; a strong bloodlust and desire to take things apart and a touch of cruelty. It frightens him and it’s why he distances himself from other people in fear he might reveal this unnatural aspect of his being. After all, Orderite’s are supposed to be good and kind. Still, every once in a while the dark cruel part of him will peek out.
Thoughts on the Great Engagement:
It is an opportunity. He doesn’t know whether the war is good or bad, or even if the gods care anymore, but he does know that with his rising bloodlust, it is a way for him to be able to let the darkness inside him be free without worry of what he might become or what others might think. It is way he wants to take the battler path.
Thoughts on the Magescian Races:
Orderite – He feels that at their core, his is a race that is compassionate, kind, and good. Everything Alionse strives to be, but isn’t. So he puts the race as a whole on a pedestal, one he is ever trying to reach. He is aware that not everyone embodies what an Orderite should be, but he feels the majority does.
Oblivinite – On the battlefield they are simply the enemy. Off the battlefield, well he’s not sure. If there are people like him who are conflicted with their nature, it is possible the same might hold true for the Oblivinites. So, right now, he would very much like to meet an Oblivinite and see.
Dovaa – They seem like a race that tries to ignore their responsibilities from what he can tell. They pretend the war isn’t part of their lives and instead live in this bubble. It sort of irks him to tell the truth. Maybe if they did what they were supposed to do the world could be different.
Hybrids – Now they seem truly fascinating to him. Sometimes he wonders if they are actually what the world is supposed to be like in the end. Though he keeps that thought to himself. He knows it makes him pretty strange to think that way.
Thoughts on the Dragons and Khehora:
Dragons – He would really like to fight one, though they seem pretty intimidating to him.
Khehora – He wonders just how they are different from dragons. He knows they talk and have lives, but isn’t that they same with dragons too. He just doesn’t get it. It probably has to do with having never met a dragon or a Khehora.
