Character Name: Kekeovonnai Race: Feral Khehora Gender: Male Clan: Gaili Path: Civilian
Personality:
Kekeovonnai is curious and inquisitive to an extreme. Intelligent and quick to learn about the world by poking his nose into everything and anything and anybody. Highly excitable, Keke is often overexcited. New things, especially, are exciting for him, and he will investigate them with muscles tensed and wings aquiver. He's fairly fearless, propelled into reckless diversions by his pure delight at discovery.
Highly affectionate – especially towards his sister – he can seem, at times, like a peaceful khehora. But he is, still, a khehora. Though easigoing, sociable, and inquisitive, he is very protective of things he holds dear, and he has the teeth, claws, and magic to enforce that protection.
Still, he loves people, and it is a rare occurrence indeed for him to do anything with lethal force. Keke would rather talk – he learns so much more from talking than from fighting. Talk and travel are his two loves, right after discovery, and one day he hopes to travel the world and unravel its mysteries.
The best part is, there is no way to know everything, so he will always have something new to know. He thinks that is absolutely wonderful. Everything is, honestly, a wonder to him.
Sometimes he gets so absorbed with the amazing beauty of the world around him that he does stupid things, like walk off of ledges or into other people. Being sturdy, he usually is able to just laugh it off and keep going, but this can sometimes (often) get him into trouble.
Also, he has very little patience or ability to plan ahead. The present moment is so amazing and overwhelming to him that thinking of a past, let alone a future, is mind boggling to him. He can handle the past, though: his memory and knowledge is very accurate and remarkably clear, he just lives in the present moment, for the present moment.
Again, though, his inability to plan is not indicative of a lack of intelligence or creativity. Indeed, he has creativity in spades! Ask him to come up with an idea for a mechanism of some sort, and he will gleefully figure it out. His understanding of how things work and interact with each other has become close to innate, and is growing as he learns more about the world. If he had hands, he might be well on his way to becoming an inventor, making inventions for the pure delight of creation.
As it is, his interests have taken him more into the natural world around him, learning about the interactions of plant and animal, magic and mundane, air and stone. Frankly, though, he is interested in all things.
Kekeovonnai, Honoka, and Vazarri were originally the eggs of the Diabi Krushje and the Gaili Alikhora Diadamine, and were laid in the forests of Soldul. Diadamine had come from Eowyn long ago, and Krushje was an outcast from his clan, having killed his brother in a fight over a female.
He had lived in the wild after being kicked out, and was full of regret for what he had done. She had simply wanted adventure, and had chosen the dark lands as her romping grounds. They were an unlikely pair, but love does strange things to the most unlikely people, and they soon were living a pleasant life together in the deep forests by the lake, away from anybody who would interfere.
Soon she was with eggs, and laid a glorious nest of four. The fourth egg, alas, was a dud and broke soon after she laid it – not uncommon with first clutches – but the other three remained strong. The pair cared for them. They had not, originally, wanted children, but as they tended the eggs, the thought grew on them until they eagerly awaited the little ones that would soon be at their side.
One day, they were out hunting, having covered their nest to hide it from predators. They had caught a fine meal and were preparing to devour it together when they became prey themselves: a group of borgnah targeted them. They fought valiently, but there were too many and Krushje was soon overcome and devoured by the beasts. Diadamine was badly injured, and was certain she was next. In that moment her thoughts were only of herself, not her nest or eggs.
Then, like a dark angel out of the sky, came the Diabi Alikhora Oblivion. He turned the tide of the fight and helped Diadamine defeat the Borgnah. She was uncertain of what to make of her savior, but she was badly injured and she needed his help one last time.
He escorted her to her nest and... well, she wasn't sure what she would have done. Would she have pleaded the stranger to stay with her and help her take care of her eggs? Would she have thanked the stranger, sent him on his way, and sought out someone else to help her? Would she have tried to contact her mate's clan and gotten their help?
She never got a chance to find out. Her offer of 'anything' was soon taken, and the Diabi Alikhora, who had moments before been her savior, became her murderer, smothering her with choking dark magic. In her last moments, Diadamine regretted her selfish thoughts. As life left her and she slipped to the ground, she knew that she hated the Diabi Alikhora with all of her being... And she also knew that he would raise her little ones now, and that they would grow strong, and would, probably, be better off without her. It was a bittersweet thought to die on.
The clutch was brought by Oblivion to his mate, Samael, and became theirs, though one of the eggs was 'lost' on the way, ending up in the hands of the young orderite, Avani.
---
Kekeovonnai hatched with his sister Vazarri. Ever since that moment, he has been nosing his way through the crevices of the world and into the hearts and laps of various travelling magescians. His mind, hungry for knowledge, took him across the mountains of the Terra Expanse and back home again, entranced by the spectacular and the mundane alike. Magescians especially caught his eye, and he became fascinated by them.
As tensions grew among his fathers, Kekeovonnai and Vazarri grew very close. When they grew older, Vazarri hatched a plan and Keke, ever the follower, helped her.
They ran away to Soldul.
It was an adventure to seek out their father, Oblivion, but it ended up being so much more: a revelation, to Keke, of the world outside his home, and the beauty and danger it held.
They never did find Oblivion. Instead, they returned to the Terra Expanse, slightly defeated. Keke continued his training to be a teacher, and his life was good.
One day, however, while taking a few orakoi out for a field trip, Keke came across an Orderite fleeing other Magescians. This Orderite's name was Xenosa, and gradually he gained entry into her world, one of murder and intrigue.
He took his leave of his tribe, his fascination with Magescians bringing him forth on adventures with her. He saved her life in the dragon caves, and aided her in her strange missions. Finally, he found himself on Serenia, engulfed in Magescian wonders.
Kekeovonnai devoured the information around him voraciously and soon found out about a greater store of knowledge - the arcane college. Realizing through a correspondence that he would have to be a khehorian to be considered, he set out to complete the ritual.
He was successful. Returning a new-formed 'man', Kekeovonnai returned to his true profession - teaching, even as he set himself up to learn ever more about the miraculous world he was in...
Currently: Kekeovonnai is teaching in Ashen City, Serenia, and exploring the fascinating land of light.

Thoughts on the Great Engagement:
War is meaningless to Keke, he can barely comprehend such a concept.
Thoughts on Magescans:
Keke finds magescians fascinating and delightful. He honestly thinks of them as on a level of the other animals: facinating, inscrutable, and fun.
Thoughts on the Dragons:
Keke is unafraid of all things, and this applies to dragons. He fully intends to study them, at least a little.
Thoughts on Khehora:
Keke loves his own kind and is proud to be one, but they aren't nearly as fascinating to him as the other creatures they share a world with.
Vazarri: Sister – Her feathers are lovely and soft, and she is always so direct. I love her. Sometimes, clutchmates are rivals, but no: she is my best friend.
Xenosa: Friend – A dear friend and Ally, her life is exciting and dramatic and I feel honored to be a part of it! She's great. I saved her life once, and I don't know where that fits into it.
Esmeralda: Friend – She is a Peisio Dovaa that studies dragons! I'd like to know as much as her someday!
Neutral:
Oblivion: Father – He left a long time ago, and Vazarri wants to find him. Whatever she wants, I'm here to help! I'm fine either way.
Samael: Father – We've never been close...
Minerva: Esmeralda's Daughter – She's a hybrid, and thats very interesting. She seemed very nice! I wonder if she is as smart as her mother?
Suluksati: Aquaintence – Father's new mate? She is very powerful and I can admire her, but Vazarri dislikes her and my sister has very good instincts about these sorts of things...
Negative:
Malta: Traveller – She broke her promise to me once, and didnt come back to tell me a story. She apologized and we made up, but I find it hard to forget such a thing...
Other:
Honoka: Sister – Not met yet
Carrion: Brother – Not met yet

Battle:
Not prone to violence, Keke is still able to fight. His natural strength and Gaili sturdiness are used to his advantage, but his main goal is protecting his allies with magical shields and his own body.
Gaili magic:
- Earthsense: Keke has an instinctual awareness of the ground around him. When in contact with the earth, he is able to sense the terrain, vibrations, and even subterranean features.
- Balance: Keke has an exquisite sense of balance and where his feet are. On the ground or when climbing, he exhibits remarkable control and ability.
- Sand Control: Keke is able to control and manipulate sand and other small particles
- Glass Spit: Keke can create compressed sand in his mouth as shards (or dusts) of glass. These are very sharp and he will eventually be able to fire crystals from his mouth and change their colors.
- Harden: Keke is able to use his control of earth to harden his skin against attacks, making himself into a living shield.
Other:
Kekeovonnai is highly creative and observant and has a very good memory.

[] Keke will eventually be mated to Tasinei's Xenosa.
[] Keke is a student of the world and wants to learn everything! Tamings, adventures, general rps with people of all kinds willing to explore with him are welcome!
[] Keke is teaching in Serenia! Bring on your young/old/etc Orderites and have him interrogate you about the world!
[] Keke, like his father Samael, likes to collect flora and fauna, including pets. The more the merrier! Let him help you tame that beast!
Kekeovonnai rested, snuggling up next to his sister as he digested his first meal. So many new things to explore, to taste, smell, and see! He was happy to have hatched, and happy to be alive. His brilliant green eyes closed, suddenly overwhelmed by it all. So many things. Not too many things, but more than enough.
He flopped against his sister and, using her as a pillow, drifted off into his first sleep, his snore a low purring rumble that tickled his sister's feathers.
Keke stared at the white khehora, his green eyes bright in his dark face. She was following them, but why? He didn't know her, so her home wasn't with papa's clan, and 'Zarri didn't like her, so why was she following them? Did papa tell her to come? Was that what the sounds meant? Keke didn't know why. The lair was big but the khehora was biiig, so why had papa told her to come without asking daddy?
It was very confusing, and Keke was going to get to the bottom of this – and the stone thing with the glowy bits, and the shimmery dome thing, and why rocks fell, and why his papas made squawking noises together sometimes. He was going to get to the bottom of all of these things.
Eventually. He yawned widely, revealing tiny, sharp, incoming baby teeth. He wanted a nap, first. After his nap, though... No secret would be safe.
Keke hummed happily as he bounced from rock to rock. He couldn't wait to tell Papa and Vazarri what he'd seen that day. Well, more 'Zarri than papa, but all the same, he was so excited!
He'd seen a purple striated vertical rock formation, a piece of shiny and sharo obsidian – probably flung from the volcano itself,, a flock of Vildean and...
Oh yes...
He'd seen an Orderite! A magescan! His first one! It had been so exciting and fun. The only thing that could have possibly made it better for the young Orakoir was if there was a dragon involved.
He did a little skip, fluttering his wings to aid him in his rock clambering towards home.
Ahhh! So exciting! He wondered if he would see another Magescan soon. What would he say to them? What would he do?
He'd say hi, of course! He'd have fun! He didn't need to worry about strange encounters: He was not afraid of much. He was, especially, not afraid of Magescans, because – after all – there was nothing to fear from knowledge.
Keke hoped he could lose the giant bird among the crags of the Terra expanse. He was very good at climbing, and very agile for his size, and so he was sure he could make a trail that twisted and turned nicely.
The problem was, the Alkara was a very angry and determined bird. Keke, as he ducked and scurried under a series of stone arches, thought he could understand – he had disturbed its nest and he was rather big and fangy, and it wasn't as though he hadn't had Alkara for dinner at least once. He could understand a mama bird wanting him to go away.
He also remembered that Alkara were mean and possibly carnivorous, so perhaps it was chasing him for another reason. Keke did not want to be dinner.
He wove in between rocks, scampering up to the top of a crag and hiding behind a boulder as a gust of wind howled through the narrow pass, followed by the enormous beast. It looked right at him, and Keke knew he couldn't hide.
He grimaced and, with all the strength he could muster (and a little bit of the silty, earthy energy inside him), shoved the boulder down the slope.
The bird squawked, startled, and Keke ran while it was distracted, heading towards home.
Reaching the outskirts of the clan territory, he looked back.
Nothing. No birds, no winds, just silence and mountains.
Pleased, Keke shook the dust off his scales and bounded towards their lair – he couldn't wait to tell Zarri about his adventure.
