Inside Seireitei, there are officers who are not members of the Fourteen Squads be that through retirement or just possessing their own duties. Seireitei is a massive place, so there are many roles that need to be filled in various places. Some of these roles are listed below:
Gatekeepers | Central Forty-Six Members | Kido Corps.
Gatekeepers:
xxxxFour Shinigami who were appointed to protect the Four Gates of Seireitei. They are hailed for their massive strength and skill. The Gatekeepers have been known to be in good company with the people of Rukongai being that they are so directly open to them. These four warriors answer directly to the Captain-Commander and possess the keys to open the doors of Seireitei.
Central Forty-Six
xxxxThe Central 46 (中央四十六, Chūō Shijūroku) is an organization that serves as the judiciary authority of the Soul Society. Operating under a mandate from the Soul King, the influence Central 46 goes well beyond the boundaries of a judicial authority and into those of legislative and operative authorities. They function in unison with Squadron Three in trying criminals and passing laws.
Kido Corps.
xxxxThe Kidō Corps is a group of specialists presiding over spiritual law. It is one of the organizations within Soul Society that is allowed the use of force along with the Gotei 13 and Onmitsukidō, and is also a special organization comprised of experienced Kidō users. Its operations are executed in absolute secrecy.
