◬ τhe Hopeless Gate The entrance to the palace xx▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ xxxxx▭ ▭ ▭ ▭ ▭ ▭ ▭ ▭ ▭ ▭ ▭ ▭ ▭ ▭ ▭ Seireitei ʈ he Eastern Gate is the most commoner related gate. Being located directly before the "Crimson City", it is the main point where merchants enter Seireitei. The door itself is the second largest and heaviest just after the main door (Northern Gate). The gate is built directly into the wall of Seireitei, so, this door is heavily protected and secured at all hours. This door leads directly to the Market Street inside Seireitei and closely to the Medical Facility (Squadron Four) and the Dome (Squadron Twelve). The Gatekeeper resides just outside the door in a small home built into the wall next to the door. They possess the key to open the door and will only grant access to those who are given the legal pass to enter, or if they are defeated in a dual (this rule hasn't been enacted for many years). ℳay your entrance be your beginning...

"Love is hard to find." "But hate is everywhere." The talk of commoners and Shinigami alike littered the air of the Eastern Gates. It was a cheery day, for today was the day of the festival. This festival was to accommodate the Shinigami's accomplishment of their additions to the Soul Society, and to show their appreciation to the hard working Shinigami, they created a festival where the Soul King was coming and everything! Most trafficking was going through this very gate, for most of the marketeers and salesmen were walking in to get to the festival. A man in a traditional purple, dark blue, and black kimono with a purple matching hoodie laying gently against his back, along with a black scarf around his neck came into view as he nestled himself on top of the building just outside of the gates. He smiled to see his Rukongai friends happy, talking among themselves for this special day. The dangling of the purple ribbons with bells at the ends of his scarf mixed into the current noise made it even more comfortable. Many of the residents of the outer shell remembered that sound, so was able to spot their Shinigami friend easily. It was only a simple wave and smile that made the spirit's hope lift their hearts, knowing that they were safe.
Akio Motoyuki was the Eastern Gatekeeper for more than 200 years. He had watched over many of the very people that walked along these gates into the Seireitei. His job was to watch over and protect all in his section of the Soul Society, giving him the role as second most important Gatekeeper. A smile had littered his face at the view of the people walking out and through. His tactical eyes kept sign of wary people above, while the men and women who was under his command dealt with them at the door. His relationship with everyone was strong, and he was sure happy to see that he was doing well. The same method had developed from back then, where he was forced to watch the gate himself. Then, once things got out of hand, women and men were deployed under him so he could watch over the gate more carefully. It's been like that for most of the years he's worked as Gatekeeper. He's only been doing what he could to protect all of them. Either way, he was doing a good job, and those he protected admire him for just that fact.
The sound of gentle air being sliced was heard behind him. He glanced over his shoulder as he saw a messenger appear behind him. "I have a message for you from the Captain of the First Division. She has invited you to the festival. She wouldn't mind seeing your appearance there, for the other Gatekeepers are there as well." The messenger said, staying quiet to hear Akio's response. Akio was silent, looking back down at his people from above. He watched them walk back and forth, waves of them coming in and out. He sighed gently. Maybe it wouldn't hurt to head to the festival for now. He'll just station his men and women to their guarding posts while he's gone. Smiling, he looked back at the messenger. He spoke in his usual calm, yet quite and slightly medium voice. "I'll get there, thank you." He said, smiling at the messenger who smiled back and nodded, returning to his post in the First Squadron. Akio sighed, soon shunpoing down to the entrance of the gate where his men and women were stationed. He spoke loud so the could all hear him. "Alright! I'm heading in! Head to your immediate stations at once and make sure you are on your highest form of righteous guarding!" He told them with a simple 'yes, sir,' he soon watched them discard. He looked at each of them as they went to their respectful places. He smiled, giving a thumbs up to them, and once it was returned, he soon headed in through the gate, smiling at those that greeted him, and shunpoed off to the Festival.

"Love is hard to find." "But hate is everywhere." Akio quickly ran to where his Gate was and watched as people walked in through, but not a lot as people as before. It would be easy to round them up. He quickly ran over to the entrance doors and rang the bell of emergency, forming up all his men and women. "There has been a brake in. Since our gate is one of the most commercialized gates, close it up, and make sure no one suspicious slips in!" He announced, and soon everyone went to work. People were evacuated and soon the doors were closed and locked. They were soon stationed outside and Akio waited with them for a bit, watching the gates and around the area. He had to make sure no one secret slipped through past his gaze. Not again.
The surrounding Squad members came out to help guard the gate with him. Thanking them for their assistance, he stayed stationary. He didn't find anyone at the moment. All he could do was stay stationary throughout the whole crisis. Hearing a ripping sound and soon the voice of Kaede, he listened to her orders and her motherly cautionary sentence as she sent out the message. He replied with a "Hai," or 'yes'. He soon sighed, waiting carefully at the gates, making sure to be prepared for anything coming there way.

"Love is hard to find." "But hate is everywhere." Akio seemed ready for anything. They had been stationary for a few hours as everything was being dealt with at the Temple. Everything soon became quiet as the oppressing spiritual pressure disappeared suddenly. He blinked, looking confused and after a few minutes, a hell butterfly came his way. Apparently the hooded man had disappeared and escaped through a portal of some sort. They were free to open the gates once more. Sighing gently, he spoke out to his people. "We are free to let the Gates open once more. The assailant has disappeared from the Seireitei." He said, soon watching as those from the surrounding Squads vanished off with a bow before his men and women opened up the gates to allow traffic. It might be against what they were supposed to do at the moment, but the gate he was at needed to be open. Traffic had to run through, without it open, sudden chaos may occur. Keeping it open for now would be a good idea. As more people rushed through, he soon set people to their stations before heading off to be alone for awhile.
