Think Japanese style house and gardens, all zenified. ((Is that even a word? lol )) Anyhow, everything would be tastefully done in Chien Tang's colors. His door is red with a bit of gold and black iron. His throneroom would be tastefully decorated and sparse. His bedroom is at the back half of the rooms and there will be an opening to the sky later so that he can fly out if he wishes. His room does have a collection of weapons and fans. They are Toshiro's and will be respected. I'll add images of them to the items area later or even here. Still working on the gardens but assume japanese gardens with various things going on. The lake/pond does have koi in it of all shapes, sizes, and colors as well as lily pads scattered around.





The mountaintop is not that far from the Pantheon. It is not far from the ocean either as there is a need for salt water amongst the Oniwanjin. He has tried to accommodate all of those left behind. For more information on the Oniwanjin, go here . There are more details on the race themselves than you will find here in Takeru's journal.

The Mountaintop rises above the area below on sheer cliffs that make it virtually impregnable by normal means. 1000 steps go straight up to the gate at the top. A tower on each side with high walls greets anyone coming up this direction. There are also several towers along the way up as an early warning system. The stairs are used not only for protection, but also for training. Initiates must run climb the stairs and then run them daily to prove their worth to be trained here. The mountain itself be a challenge to the students worthy enough to live there.

A second set of stairs leads down into the mountain itself. At the bottom is a freshwater pool below a waterfall. On the other side of the great cavern is a saltwater pool that rises up from a tunnel that connects to the ocean itself. Various traps, luminescent lifeforms greet any who try to enter from that direction also. The cavern is home to the Moura and other Oniwanjin who need the saltwater to survive. There is also an elevator that rises upwards in perpetual motion.

Various clans live in the front near the gate. Buildings there are homes to one with common meeting places in the central for peaceful interactions. At the back of the area on the right rise high cliffs which are home to those who prefer the heights. The Fenghuang clan governed by Hitomi and Hito live there.

To the left is a large open space for Takeru when in dragon form. Or another who comes to visit. At the center back is Takeru's home, similar to what is in his rooms at the pantheon only far larger. Haruki, Moxie, Kaza, Hitomi, Ichiro, and their families live directly with Takeru.

Training grounds are scattered about, whether in water, in air, or on land. Each clanhold has their own space for training also.

There is also a section of forest to accommodate those who prefer the green woods to live within. The Kirijin make it their home.

The one unique and notable thing about the Mountaintop are the orchids. They were transplanted from Earth, only grow in a pure source of lifewater and at great height. The salve made from these blossoms is one of the purest healing salves found. Takeru protects them zealously and so do the rest of the Oniwanjin.

The Oniwanjin came from Earth. Avalon, Atlantis, Japan, and various other places have been used but changed to a more suitable background for our purposes. Consider it an Alternate Earth Universe where things are not quite what they are IRL.
