"Oh please, there are no such things as monsters!" Eight year old Jimmy knew everything. He knew that there was no monsters, no Santa, the tooth fairy was the biggest hoax ever, and worse of all children did not come from birds and bees. He was the boss of this neighbourhood and what he said was the truth. Clearly.
"No, I'm serious!" Sammy scooted closer to Jim, it was only the afternoon, still cold and sunny, children running around in the playground like noone's business. He didn't feel like playing on the slide like the other kids, and well, Jim would make fun of him. "There are totally monsters out there. Shadows, they make faces. It's really - its really scary."
Jimmy rolled his eyes. "I can prove that monsters don't exist, and you are stupid and girls are smelly, here, watch this." He picked up his Wooden Stick of Authority, and slapped it a few times across the tin slide.
CLANG CLANG CLANG.
Immediately, all the kids in the playground assembled in front of him. He was the king of the playground after all. He dictated who got to go where, who got what lunch, and well, practically everything. Plus his mom was in charge of the local baking committee.
"Now listen up kids!" The tubby eight-year old was all words and fancy commands, Sammy still cowering behind him. "I heard some of you still think that monsters exist. That's just junk and stuff that your parents say to make you sleep at night. So this is what you're gonna do tonight until Halloween. Go home to sleep, and then open the closet. Check under the covers. Turn off your night lights again 'cuz there is nothing there. It's all a lie, and anyone who doesn't do it is a chicken times infinity."
All the kids shuffled, uneasy, and murmured to each other. They really didn't want to be a chicken times infinity. That would mean bad things and stuff. Really bad things. Better do what Jimmy said...
OOC WELCOME TO TRICK OR TREATING - HUMAN WORLD EDITION - This is a TWO PART game! There are prizes for each segment! Think of this as a Monsters Inc sort of game - To view the counterpart to this, go HERE (for Trick or Treat subs) - Jimmy and Sammy, your two local eight-year old kids in Silent Oaks Elementary School are giving you guys all a dare. Prove that there's no such thing as monsters that go bump in the dark, god, what are you, like six? - It is time to go home and turn off that night light. Now it is time to look at the room. SETTING UP YOUR ROOM/ CREATING A ROOM THREAD gaia_crown [ Step 1: ] Use the room maker to set up your room - If you have problems with flash, feel free to import your own room maker or just google up an image of a room. - This image must be at the top of your post. - You MAY have up to TWO siblings in your room. That means up to three people are setting up one room/ thread. However it also means you will share prizes! - You are making up a elementary school character. You wont be using them ever again except for this event, think of them as a quick kid npc! They live in a beautiful suburbia in the Human World and go to Silent Oaks Elementary School aka: THEY ARE HUMAN ELEMENTARY SCHOOLERS - You may have one Elementary Schooler (max) AND one Trick or Treater sub (max). Please note, your Elementary Schooler CANNOT see Halloween Monsters, especially not students. They can hear and feel things the monsters do, but not see them directly ever. gaia_crown [ Step 2: ] Your room MUST HAVE: - AT LEAST 1 bed PER occupant - 1 closet / cabinet - 1 bookshelf - 1 table/ desk - 1 toybox gaia_crown [ Step 3: ] You are making a NEW THREAD in THIS subforum. Title it [ WHATEVER KID NAME HERE'S ROOM ] [ 0 FEAR ]: - Basically this is your elementary schooler's room! In the FIRST POST you make, post the IMAGE OF YOUR ROOM YOU MADE, and then all occupants in the room. Post a small blurb about each character (you can make this up!) - Feel free to also RP in the room if you'd like (with your kid character). What goes bump in the middle of the night! What is that spooky noise?When your thread is ready, please rp in your ROOM thread that they turned the night lights off, and mark in the title of your thread OPEN. That's to let players know that they can come in and spook you (Trick or Treaters). - Trick or Treaters are Halloween creatures that have come to gather Fear! As an Elementary Schooler, you cannot see them, though sometimes you THINK you feel or hear something.. a groan, a noise, the tables shaking. You don't know what it is though since monsters aren't real, right?- Trick or Treaters (Halloween monsters) are allowed to only visit five parts of your room. Read their RP cues. They will choose: under the bed, inside the closet, inside your toy trunk, under the table, inside the bookshelf. - Depending on how scared your Elementary Schooler is by the actions of the unknown (think Monsters Inc here), they can choose to not be affected, turn on the light or scream. - If they aren't affected, their Fear amount doesn't change. - If they scream, add +10 Fear to your room amount/ update the front post/ title accordingly. - If they turn on the light, add +20 Fear. Its just too spooky! After a little bit of fussing, you settle down again... - Please quote each Halloween rper who visits your thread and choose one option based on that Halloween rper's actions! - If your room reaches a cumulative total of 100 Fear its game over! Your kid successfully believes in monsters and the room has reached its maximum Fear cultivation. Write SUCCESS at the front of your thread title so people know! That means your thread/room is now CLOSED.
