Jenk Beaumont, first and foremost, exudes confidence. Or maybe she exudes the exterior of a bully; either could be correct. She's grown up in a big family, but rather than be pushed aside like some girls in a family of all-boys, she grew up playing hard with her brothers, and she kept up every step of the way, growing confident in a way her brothers all share with her. It could be construed as cockiness; she is sure of herself. She knows what she's good at. She knows she's good at it, too. And she'll be sure to let you know she's good at it, one way or another.
Her confidence comes with a secondary skill, her resourcefulness. No matter where she goes, she finds a way to survive. She's not someone who curls up and cries to her family when something goes wrong; she gets back up and kicks someone's a** in the process. She's not a cryer, she's a doer, and to her, that's resourcefulness at it's finest. In being able to take care of herself, she has a hard time doing things any way but her way. She's pretty goddamn stubborn, and it's gotten her fairly far in life, so she's not entirely sure this is a negative. If anything, her stubborn attitude and determined attitude can be seen as one in the same. She will keep at it until she wins, either by sheer dumb luck or by a stroke of genius after failing 999 times. ◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙ Jenk grew up with a family of all boys. Her mother had gone off to do her own thing, so River was raised by her older brothers (six of them) and her father, a retired Trainer. As she grew up, Jenk watched her brothers go on to be Pokemon watchers, breeders, trainers, and even gym leaders. She was proud of her brothers, and rather than be overshadowed by them, she tagged along, travelling all over the continent to visit with her brothers individually. Unlike her brothers, though, Jenk decided to forgo becoming a trainer.
The mother that left them had left to become a Pokemon Master, and Jenk had no plans on following in suit. She would stay with her father and her brothers, and take care of them. She never regretted this decision, and travelled freely on her own. It was during these travels she met a man named Blake. It was a whirlwind romance, and at the unbelievably young age of 20, Jenk was married. For five years, they lived together happily, with Jenk travelling every so often to visit her brothers but at a much slower rate than before. Blake didn't seem to mind.
The reason Blake didn't mind, it become apparent, was because he had a few other girls on the side to keep him company when Jenk was out of town. Upon this revelation, Jenk did two things: She divorced the b*****d, and she made her brothers sign an oath saying that wouldn't go after him. She didn't want him hurt; she just didn't want to waste any more time with him. It was after this divorce, when Jenk was doing some serious soul searching, she realized that she wasn't happy. Sure, she was content. She loved seeing her brothers and their pokemon. And that's when it all clicked. Try as she might to avoid it, Jenk was just born to be a trainer. But in the country they lived in... Her name gave her away before she could make a name for herself.
So, she threw a dart. No, seriously. On a map of the world, she threw a dart, and it landed on Zatao. Zatao wasn't far from her country, only a few weeks by boat. And it looked exciting. So, she packed her things up, and came to Zatao to become a Pokemon trainer.◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙ OOC Information

In spite of the implications of a Pokedex, this is only a roster of pets owned by Jenk Beaumont.

Jenk (27), Jimmy (29), Jensen and Jason (twins, 33), Carson (36), Mason (37), and the oldest is Marcus Jr. (40).
Parents are Theresa Beaumont (57) and Marcus Beaumont (64). Parents married after finding out Theresa was pregnant with Marcus Jr. Though they are not divorced, they are technically separated, as Theresa is on tour with her band and Marcus did not approve.
Marcus Jr. (40) is a retired Gym Leader from Unova, and is currently breeding Machop and Machoke to supply for construction and expansion projects in Unova.
Mason (37) took over for Marcus Jr. when he retired from the gym to keep it in the family, since Marcus has no children.
Carson (36) has taken over Mason's position as a Gym Trainer, and is the assistant to Mason.
Twins Jensen and Jason (33) operate a Dojo within Unova near their home town.
