And the stadium is chosen...
ELECTRIC FIELD! The field is completely flat. Standing at the four corners and at the exact center of the field are five electrical towers that stand at six feet in height. These release static discharge across the field at random; electric attacks may be able to amplify themselves by using these stray charges to their advantage. The discharges also programmed to encourage pokemon to avoid standing in one location for too long.
+25 HP attack boost to ELECTRIC type attacks.

Jenk had, after her loss with the rattata, stayed away from the stadium for a few days. Less of a hurt-ego thing, though. Her brothers had decided to surprise her with their "connections" in Zatao, and managed to get her a part-time job. The past few days had been brutal, but money was needed if she was going to be a trainer. At least until the money from winning started rolling in.
Still, on her first day off since starting the job, she came running back to the stadium. Didn't want to get rusty, right? Right. Seriously! Upon walking to the rental booth, she was ecstatic to see her little Joltik butter. And the spider pokemon seemed just as happy to see her, skittering right up and settling in her hair.
With a grin, Jenk wore the little Joltik to the stadium they were fighting in, then let him down to run around the field once it had set itself to Electric. Now it was time to wait.

Genesis entered a half-vacant field, eager for a battle. Recent losses had shown that, despite Zatao being a latest discovered of all regions, it still had powerful trainers, even against rentals where the bond wouldn't have been as strong or as lasting.
Upon seeing the field along with her opponent, she was tempted to throw out her Lucario. If anything, he needed to build up his defenses against electricity, but she figured he had faced enough for the day. And so, instead, she let loose her Rattata who was just as eager as she and ran to the field as soon as she saw it had already been prepared.
"Hello," she called over the static bzzz of the electrical field. "Thanks for the battle!"
Leto was no stranger to Joltiks, nor the advantages they would receive in such a field, but the Rattata was not deterred. Chittering in exuberant greeting, she leaped across the field so that she was facing her opponent.

Jenk straightened up when Genesis entered the battlefield and got up on the platform, grinning a bit and waving from her side. "No need! I've been itching to get back in." She said, leaning against the railing of the platform. "Good luck." She added, grinning a little as she watched the rattata scatter out onto the field.
Joltik chirped when he saw it, and skittered forward, clicking his fangs and moving from side to side. Jenk decided that it was time, and straightened up, firing out a command: "Alright, Joltik! Screech!"
The Joltik puffed himself up, and let out an earshattering shriek. Jenk winced when she heard it, covering her ears. Jesus! Though the attack did no physically damage, there was no way a pokemon couldn't be shaken by the ear-piercing noise.

"Good luck!" Genesis returned.
When the battle began, she covered her ears, familiar with the loud sounds that could emanate from such a small creature.
"Try to stop it; use Toxic, now!" she cried above the noise.
Leto flattened her ears at the sound, snapping her teeth in disapproval. The attack hurt her sensitive ears, and by the time it was over, she was sure they would be left ringing.
When she heard Genesis' command, she let loose a noxious liquid towards her opponent, hoping to poison it, or at the very least distract it long enough to get it to stop.

The Joltik managed to dodge the toxic attack, and Jenk only barely stopped herself from whooping with glee. Ohh, she loved her some Joltik. Without giving more than a moment's pause to think, she shouted out another order, which the Joltik perked up to immediately: "Electroweb!"
Joltik skittered to the nearest electric tower, charging as he went, and rubbed his legs together. Then he shot the web at Leto with a loud Joltiiii!, electricity racing down the web as it flew at the rattata.

Genesis' brows furrowed at the attack. She knew that, with the aid of the field, along with the earlier Screech, Leto would be affected more than she usually was, and not in the good way.
"Try it once more!" she called.
Leto was frozen mid-air for a moment when the web of electricity shot her, coursing shocks through her limbs and rendering her unable to move. At least, for a moment.
After some struggle, she managed to free herself, and aimed another Toxic at her foe.

Once more, Joltik managed to dodge out of the toxic spray just in time to avoid the attack, spinning and skittering back and forth in a little taunting dance. The spider 'nyah nyah', if you will! Jenk snickered at the Joltik's dance.
"Get serious, Joltik." She warned from her platform, pointing at the rattata. "Slash!"
The Joltik raised on its hind legs, dancing forward, before dropping down and skittering to the rattata. Once close enough, he leapt at Rattata, slashing wildly with his front claws. ATTAAAAAAAACK.

Genesis frowned. She knew they wouldn't be able to risk much more attacks if this continued.
"Change of plans; try to freeze it in its tracks!"
Leto smarted from the blow, but thankfully, it didn't do as much harm as the electric move had. Nodding her agreement to Genesis' trail of thought, she tried an Ice Beam now.

The battle was quickly warming up, and Jenk couldn't help but feel a bit sorry for the rattata. Leto had fighting spirit, that was certain, but the Joltik was moving around too fast to be hit. Once more it dodged the attack, thrown only for a moment before getting out of the way, and skittered in a circle around Leto before running back to Jenk to await the next command.
"Easy, buddy." Jenk encouraged from her end. "You're doin' great. Electro ball!"
The Joltik immediately began to charge up again, wiggling its front claws as a ball of electricity began to form. Once it was big enough and had sucked in enough of the spider pokemon's natural electricity, Joltik hurled it at Leto.

"Keep it up!" Genesis called, although at the rate this was going, she feared it would be over much quicker than she had anticipated.
Leto twitched her ears when the Joltik scampered around, shaking a fisted paw in its direction. At least, until she was hit with a ball of electricity.
"<<Hey! Stop that! And stop running around for a bit, will you?!>>" she kindly requested, her fur now on end as static coursed through it. The next one to pet her would be far from pleased.
Opening her mouth wide, she attempted another Ice Beam.

The Joltik may have responded to the Rattata's inquiry, but a moment later, the Ice Beam struck the spider pokemon before he could run away, and froze him in a solid block. OH NO.
Jenk winced when he was frozen, biting the inside of her cheek. There was nothing to do but wait out the attack! She hoped it wouldn't last long, for Joltik's sake.

Leto frowned. Although the attack hit, she didn't think she layered the ice nearly as thick, and it was melting fast. She curled her tail around her paws at the thought of what the Joltik would do once it was free again, and attempted an Ice Beam once more.
