And the stage is set...
ELECTRIC FIELD!
The field is completely flat. Standing at the four corners and at the exact center of the field are five electrical towers that stand at six feet in height. These release static discharge across the field at random; electric attacks may be able to amplify themselves by using these stray charges to their advantage. The discharges also programmed to encourage pokemon to avoid standing in one location for too long.
+25 HP attack boost to ELECTRIC type attacks.

She was addicted. It was official. Battling was her new addiction. Alcohol? Pffeh. Drugs? No go. Pokemon Battles? Ohgodyesplease.
Jenk had managed to stay away for a day, this time, before returning. Originally, it was under the guise of greeting her little Joltik buddy, but when she arrived at the stadium, it seemed her little guy was with someone else. She wondered briefly if he battled half as good for other trainers, but dismissed it and chose a new rental pokemon.
Rattatas were wily and energetic; she hoped the rental rattata could keep her streak going. After choosing her rental pokemon, Jenk headed up to an empty stadium, watching it randomize and set itself to an electric stadium before she climbed onto her platform. There, she sat down, legs swinging over the edge as she waited.

Syt was getting a hold of it and caught the fever as well. She had finally gotten her first Pokemon and was thrilled to death with her.
Orchid sat in her normal spot, on Syt's shoulder. She chattered excitedly before scampering down her shoulder and onto the field. Syt walked up to the trainer box, smiling briefly to her opponent.

Starting off the battle with a bang was an interesting strategy. "Orchid, Rock smash!" The small purple rodent Pokemon ran forwards towards her opponent, spinning at the last moment to use her tail to fling a rock towards the opposing rattata.

Jenk got up when she saw her opponent, and smirked, nodding in her direction. She released the rental Rattata, and smiled encouragingly at the little guy as he scampered out to greet Orchid.
The battle was under way immediately, so Jenk wasted no words nor time introducing herself. "Rattata, Counter!" She intoned.
The Rattata took the blow in stride, faltering briefly before continuing on to run at Orchid to counter the blow he'd taken.

Being in so close was sometimes her downfall. The other rattata slammed into her, causing her to skid slightly backwards. Grinding her teeth slightly, she spun around again to send another rock flying

She grimaced at the sudden strike. It was much harder, and for a moment the rattata remained on the ground, breathing. Then, he was up again, leaping back from Orchid and waiting for his command with an air of impatience. Jenk grinned a little. Whether they won or lost, it was good to know the ones she picked had proper fight in them.
"Alright, let's play the home field advantage, Rattata! Thunderbolt!"
The Rattata growled, and charged up a bit of electricity with the help of the field's electric towers. Then, he unleashed the attack, aiming for Orchid.

The rock smashing was getting old, and destructive. She grimaced, and looked thoughtful, then the trainer grinned. "Thunder!"
This time, rather than going for the attack, the Rattata charged up and released his attack, aiming to paralyze the opponent.

Jenk watched as the rock was flung sharply at her rattata, heart leaping into her throat. And then...
It was over. The rattata went down hard, and laid there for a long moment. He tried, in vain, to get up. But it was no good. Finally, he dropped, eyes closed. Jenk grimaced a little. Tempting fate, it seemed, wasn't the way to go. She'd just have to get another Joltik next time.
"Nice battle," She called from her end lamely, calling the Rattata back to her. Poor little guy.

"That was a nice battle...I'd love to do it again sometime, you fought well.." Leaning down, Her Rattata scampered over to her and went to curl up around her trainers neck. Nodding to the trainer once more, she headed off the field
