And the stadium is chosen...
FIRE FIELD!
A series of thick rock pillars, all different sizes of height, reach towards the stadium ceiling from a pool of hot lava. While there is a fire-proof net far below to catch any pokemon that falls off the platforms, the rock pillars themselves are hot to the touch. They can cause burns if your pokemon stand still for a set period of time. The air around the field is very heavy from the extreme heat.
+25HP Boost to Fire-based Attacks.
-25HP Reduction to Water-based and Ice-based Attacks.

Jenk walked into the stadium with her jacket on; it was raining outside, and the rain brought with it a bitter chill. As she walked into the stadium, though, sweat broke out across her face. Breathing in slowly, she unzipped her jacket and flung it over the railing of her platform, climbing in and grinning at the Fire stadium. Given who she was battling today, it was fitting that the stadium would give her an advantage.
Luck of the draw, or what?
She withdrew the pokeball from her belt, spinning it on her fingers, and watched the platform across from her, waiting for her opponent to show his face. Given her frequency of battling, she hoped it'd be someone she had met before. Rematches were always a fun indicator of how strong she was getting. A smile played across her face as she waited; whoever it was would have a hell of a fight on their hands.

Genesis hurried into an occupied Stadium, wiping her water-soaked face as she did so. The storm had come unexpectedly, leaving the Rocket Grunt ill-prepared to face the onslaught of rain that followed it. A Rattata was plastered to the top of her head -- an impromptu and pretty much useless substitute for an umbrella, but better than nothing she supposed. At the very least, the stadium would have a roof over its head.
Reaching the trainer's platform, the nearly-soaked Grunt hauled herself up, glad as ******** for the field. She had already gone through one or two other fields on her search for a more toasty one and was grateful her search didn't need to be any longer.
"Hey," she called with a raise of her hand, remembering the other trainer. Her mouth, nearly frozen in a large frown, twitched upward at the recognition. "I guess we'll be having that rematch now."

"I guess so." Jenk grinned from her end, straightening up. One of the few to beat her in battle; this was going to be fun. "I hope you're ready." She said, whipping the Pokeball out into the field. "Tyrion, go!" The ball cracked open, and in a blaze of red light, the Growlithe landed into the stadium. Shaking his fur out, the Growlithe let out a pleased rumble as the heat permeated through his fur.
The tiny dog barked at his opponent, trying to be intimidating. And failing. Short dog is short. Jenk grinned anyway, entertained. Fire field was definitely going to play into her advantages. When Leto entered the field, Jenk called out the first command. "Nice and easy, Tyrion! Fire fang!"
Growling low, Tyrion leapt at Leto, opening his mouth as his teeth went red with heat in anticipation to latch onto the Rattata.

Genesis took hold of her Rattata in response, lifting her from her perch atop her head and dropping her into the field.
"Try to make it last a while," the trainer said, leaning closer to the edge of her trainer's stand to better feel the waves of heat radiating from the lava below.
Then, "Toxic!"
Leto was more than glad to feel the warmth of the field. She shook her fur wildly before peering at her opponent curiously, chipper now imminent warmth was at hand. At least until she the glowing fangs come at her.
She squeaked in surprise and scrambled back, using the other's cheek as a jumping point to get to another pillar. At the very least, she was prepared now, and the battle would warm her up faster.
With another "Ta!", she released a purple liquid towards the offending Pokémon.

"Believe me, I will." She laughed a bit. It was good to know she wasn't the only one grateful for the heat. Jenk watched as Tyrion stumbled over his paw in his eagerness and managed to miss the Rattata. Rather, Leto used him for a jumping board. The growlithe snarled, spinning to try and bite the Rattata, but Jenk whistled sharply to get him under control.
First battles were tricky. She was beginning to reconsider using Tyrion, but he needed his first battle at some point or another. Furrowing her brow at Tyrion as he spun to face his opponent, but didn't move past that, she called out another attack. "Flamethrower, Tyrion! Pay attention!"
Tyrion growled low, breathing in through his nose, and released a bark before he blew fire at the pillar Leto was on.

Genesis returned the smile, then focused on the battle once more. A burn wouldn't do well here, especially over lava, and she was glad the attack had missed.
"Taunt 'im, Leto!"
Leto scrambled onto a nearby pillar, clawing at the rock to keep herself from falling as she just barely dodged the quite literal line of fire. Upon hearing her trainer's words, however, she halted her escape. For a quick moment, she turned to face the Growlithe, slapped her butt mockingly, and resumed putting distance between herself and her foe.

The Growlithe stared at Leto, and snarled, chasing after the little rat. Jenk fumed a little at Tyrion's lack of control, and whistled again sharply. "Tyr!" She snapped. "Steady on!" The dog froze, and whined, ears dropping. The rat was mocking him, he wanted to eat it! Still, he stopped his pursuit, eyes trained on the Rattata darkly as he waited for his attack to be called.
Jenk made him wait for a minute before she called out the command. Clearly, patience was going to be something she needed to work with Tyrion on. Meh. Still, after a moment of pointedly being silent, she called out another attack. "Flamethrower!"
This time, the Growlithe ran at the Rattata, inhaling and breathing out another round of fire, this time aimed at hurting the stupid rat rather than burning it. Grrr. Argh.

Okayyy, perhaps the taunting had been a bit too much. It was still too early in the battle for them to decide the winner just yet, however.
"Try Toxic once more!"
Leto was hit with the flames full force. It was much warmer than she would have liked but thankfully, the flame had been the sort to wound but not last, and as soon as the fire had gone out, so did her pain.
Panting and irritated, the Rattata aimed another glob of poison at her foe.

Tyrion, still seething from the previous taunt, couldn't dodge out of the way before the glob of poison had landed smack on his face. Yelping and smaching at the poison as it burned him, he tried to shake it off. While the bulk could easily be shaken, the damage had been done, and Tyrion shook as the poison raked through him.
Jenk grimaced as Tyrion tried to shake off the poison, but the hit was a good one. She doubted it would be shaken off so quickly. "Easy, Tyr, keep your head on the battle!" She encouraged, thinking through their next move. "Flame Wheel, Tyrion!"
The Growlithe straightened up, growling, and began to run at the Rattata. His fur lit on fire as he ran, and he tucked his head down, rolling at Leto.

Genesis was glad to see the attack succeed. Toxic wasn't exactly the most versatile of attacks, and she had seen it miss more times than she could count.
"All right, Leto! Follow it up with Rock Smash!"
Leto did as she requested. The Growlithe's Flame Wheel had come too quickly for her to dodge out of the way and so she allowed herself to be struck, taking advantage of their close quarters to strike the other with a move that would lower his defenses.

Jenk grimaced as Leto's attack struck, and Tyrion stumbled back, shaking the daze off that came with being hit in the head with a rock or twelve. Growling, he snapped at the Rattata before backing off, nearly dropping as the poison once again attacked his system. He whined as he shook it off, and snarled low. Ohh, that Rat was going to get it.
Jenk was mildly impressed by Tyrion's control, though, and called off the next attack easily. "Alright, Tyrion, try Fire Fang again!"
The Growlithe obliged gladly, leaping at the rat with his mouth open, ready to chomp down on some barbeque Rattata.

"Keep it up!" Genesis called. Admittedly the Rattata had been weakened more than the Growlithe was but then again, Leto had yet to attack. That was soon about to change.
"Dig!"
Leto immediately complied. Leaping underneath the fang-filled maw, she buried herself in a pillar, using the last traces of Rock Smash to sift through the stone before coming back up to strike the flaming dog.

When he missed again, Jenk barely clamped down on the swear that threatened to bubble. It seemed to be a bad move for Tyrion. Another thing to work on. Fuming quietly, she shook her head and rolled her shoulders. There was no point in getting worked up. Tyrion could still win this.
She watched as the Rattata dug its way under ground, and try as he might, Tyrion couldn't figure out where Leto was coming from until it was too late. He went down, and whimpered, as poison once again attacked him. Shaking it off, the Growlithe growled, and leapt into action as soon as Jenk cued the command: "Fire spin!"
Inhaling, he unleashed a ring of fire at Leto, hoping to get Leto before the pokemon had a chance to dive underground again.
