So you wanna be a Magical Creature? Well, here are a few things to know about being a Magical Creature at Durmstrang Institute. First off, be sure to read the Guild Rules. You need to do so before you can make a character in the guild.
While you’re creating your Magical Creature be sure to read the Foreword on Profile Skeletons and make sure to use the correct form, depending on the type of creature you want to make.
Also, some magical creatures have canon characters you can choose from, as long as no one else is using them already.
Interested in being a student, an instructor, or a Takai shop owner as well as a magical creature? Be a More-Than-Average character. For more information, you should read this.
Now that your profile is done, you need to wait for it to be approved, if you wait three days and it has yet to be approved, please contact the Magical Creatures Profiles Manager. You will know if your profile has been looked at depending on the title of the thread. Also be sure to contact Magical Creatures Profiles Manager with any questions you might have.So there you go! That's the basic info you need to know on making a Magical Creature at Durmstrang!

Foreword on Profile Skeletons All possible magical creatures have been given a profile skeleton. You must use the right skeleton for the creature you're applying for. If you feel that the skeleton is lacking in an aspect and it needs something added or if you feel we should add a creature to the list, contact the Magical Creatures Manager. For creatures that are not be allowed in the castle, they can be brought in as a demo by the professors. Instructors, why not send a message to the creature's owner and ask them to have their creature displayed in your classrooms? This is also a commonsense privilege. We are pretty strict about the way a profile skeleton looks. Try to make it pretty, if you can. It's not required, but it's nice to see smile . Make sure you follow all the instructions in the parenthesis while you're putting your skeleton together and include all the information we ask for (if you want to spruce it up, feel free). Remove the parenthesis and everything in between them when you're done, please. The crew reserves the right to deny or accept anybody. Please make sure you follow the rules when applying. Post the profile as your own thread in the Magical Creature Profiles subforum with your character's name as the title. The crew will try very hard to get you accepted within a day or two. If it's been three days and you still haven't been accepted, PM the Magical Creatures Manager the link and they will check it out. Do not bump your thread.

Acromantula Profile Skeleton Basic Information The Acromantula are a species of giant spider, native to the rainforests of Southeast Asia, particularly Borneo where it inhabits dense jungle. Acromantulas are believed to be a wizard-bred species, designed to guard dwellings or treasure hoards, and were first created before the Ban on Experimental Breeding in 1965. These giant spiders, with a taste for human flesh, were first spotted in 1794. Acromantulas tend to reside in jungles and heavily forested areas, and their webs are large and dome-shaped. Boggart Profile Skeleton Basic Information A shape-shifting creature that takes on the form of the viewer's worst fear. Because of their shape-shifting ability, no one knows what a boggart looks like when it is alone, as it instantly changes when you first see it. Boggart Rules
+ Found in places that are dark, such as in wardrobes, the gap beneath beds, and the cupboards under sinks and desks. On at least one occasion, a boggart was found hiding in a grandfather clock.
+ Must take form of the person's fear (whenever a person is facing a boggart at Hogwarts, they must mention their fear in at least one post during their encounter)
+ Can be found anywhere
+ Allowed to move from one dark spot to another as long as no one is around/takes notice

Centaur Profile Skeleton Basic Information A centaur is a magical creature whose head, torso and arms appear to be human and are joined to a horse's body. However, they are their own species, and are not any kind of half-breed. Despite being highly intelligent, centaurs are classified as Beasts by the Ministry of Magic, at their own request, as they were unhappy at having to share Being status with hags and vampires. Dementor Profile Skeleton Basic Information A Dementor is a Dark creature, considered one of the foulest to inhabit the world. Dementors feed off human happiness, and thus cause depression and despair to anyone near them. They can also consume a person's soul, leaving their victims in a permanent vegetative state, and thus are often referred to as "soul-sucking fiends" and are known to leave a person as an "empty-shell." After the end of the Second Wizarding War in 1998, the Ministry was reformed, and Minister for Magic Kingsley Shacklebolt ensured that they were not used by the government again. Dementor Rules

Ghost Profile Skeleton Basic Information A ghost is the disembodied spirit of a once living wizard or witch. Many ghosts take up residence within Hogwarts Castle. These fleshless spirits were either afraid of death or have some extraordinarily strong connection to the locations they haunt. In their paranormal state, ghosts are unable to cause much physical influence. They are visible, and appear as a greyish-silver apparition of their former (living) selves. They may not touch or physically move objects, however in passing through an object, they may impart a sensation of icy coldness. Ghosts are either capable of, or pretend to be capable of, almost being able to taste rotten food. Ghost Rules

House-Elf Profile Skeleton Basic Information A house-elf is a magical creature which is devoted and loyal to the one designated as their master. They serve wizards and witches, and must do everything that their masters command unless they are freed. A veritable legion of house-elves are enlisted by Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. They work the kitchens, preparing feasts for the entire school. They also move trunks and baggage to and from rooms, clean dormitories, and presumably other areas of the castle as well. In 1994, they became angry with Hermione Granger as she made attempts to free them. During the Battle of Hogwarts, the house-elves fought against the Death Eaters with Kreacher leading them. They defended their masters by using kitchen knives to stab at the attackers' ankles. House-Elf Rules

Leprechaun Profile Skeleton Basic Information The Leprechaun, sometimes known as the Clauricorn, is a mischievous magical creature, although it is not malicious. They have a reputation as pranksters, but have never inflicted lasting damage on a Human. Native only to Ireland, they are fully sentient and capable of speech but have never requested the Ministry of Magic to reclassify them as Beings. Green in colour, the Leprechaun reaches a height of around six inches, and normally wear clothing made out of leaves. Leprechauns main diet consists of vegetation, primarily leaves. Leprechauns live in forests and wooded areas, and they enjoy attracting Muggle attention to themselves. Leprechaun Rules

Merpeople Profile Skeleton Basic Information Merpeople are sentient beings (or beasts, as they want nothing to do with the likes of vampires and hags) that live underwater, and are found all over the world. Their customs and habits are mysterious, and, like the Centaurs, they refused Being status in favour of Beast. Merpeople can breathe above the waves for a time, but it is unclear if they can ever truly leave their habitat. Merpeople society is based around organised communities, and they have a great love of music. Their language is known as Mermish, and only a few Wizards know how to speak it. However, since their language can only be heard properly underwater, it sounds like a loud screeching when spoken above water. The term "Merpeople" is an umbrella term. There are several distinct sub-species around the world. Merpeople Rules

Thestrals Profile Skeleton Basic Information A Thestral is a breed of winged horses with a skeletal body, face with reptilian features, and wide, leathery wings that resemble a bat's. They are very rare, and are considered dangerous by the Ministry of Magic. Thestrals are, undeservedly, known as omens of misfortune and aggression by many wizards because they are visible only to those who have witnessed death at least once (and fully accepted the concept) or due to their somewhat grim, gaunt and ghostly appearance. Thestrals can be domesticated and mounted, so they are used as an alternative to brooms, Apparition and other methods of transportation. Once trained, they are very diligent and will quickly carry their owners wherever they wish to go. Due to their classification as XXXX, only experienced wizards should try to handle Thestrals. Trolls Profile Skeleton Basic Information A Troll is a magical creature of prodigious strength and immense stupidity. In fact, they are so stupid that they actually had a wizarding exam failing grade named after them. Trolls generally reach a height of about twelve feet and weigh up to nearly a ton. They are dangerously violent and incredibly aggressive, and then engage in unpredictable behaviour; a bit comparable with giants. Trolls originated in Scandinavia, but are now found all across Europe. Trolls feed on raw flesh, and are not that fussy about what they eat, from animals to even humans. Troll language is nothing more than simple grunts that only Trolls seem to be able to interpret, though skilled magical multi-linguists such as Barty Crouch can understand them. Trolls understand only a limited number of Human words, and some smarter ones can be skillfully trained as security Trolls. Troll Rules

+ Must not cause a mess of any room (unless plot dictates otherwise)

+ Can only communicate with grunts or using some words

Unicorns Profile Skeleton Basic Information The unicorn is a white, equine creature with a single horn on its forehead. Unicorns are capable of moving faster than werewolves. Unicorns prefer a woman's touch, but the young ones are more trusting and do not mind men as much. Unicorns are also so fleet-of-hoof that they can rarely be caught by humans. During the detention in the Forbidden Forest in 1992, Harry asked if a werewolf could be killing the unicorns and Hagrid replied that they're not fast enough. Unicorn Rules
