The child was watching the sky. The beautiful sky that had been painted with a countless number of stars that had so mysteriously illuminated the ceilings of Elysion. The skies were mapped with constellations and patterns that the child was not familiar with, given she had been familiar with constellations in the first place. The child may have loved the stars in the sky but she was not knowledgeable in the constellations that the stars made up. Regardless of the wisdom that she was lacking, the small child's breath exhaled as she sighed happily , watching with amazement as the sky began to get lighter and lighter. It was beautiful, absolutely stunning. She excitedly waited for the rising of the sun that announced that the dawn of a new day had arrived and as her mouth opened and the first ray of sun hit the surface of the sanctuary, she disappeared.
In a small panic, the child looked around the new area she found herself in. She clung tightly to the bunny plush in her arms and desperately looked around for the big kitty who had been beside her just a moment ago. He wasn't there. Nothing was there. The grass below her fingers was now a cold and damp concrete floor. Where was the beautiful sunrise? Why were there suddenly walls all around here? It felt colder and the air was more damp than she had been used to a moment ago. She didn't realize it but she had been magically moved back to the dark, damp and cold warehouse that the senshi had originally met in prior to being teleported to space.
"Big kitty?" She asked out loud, her voice echoing through the abandoned warehouse. "Big kitty? Where did you go big kitty?"
She was alone in a dark and cold place. It definitely wasn't a place that the child preferred. If she had the choice she would have preferred the starry sky in space where she floated around without a worry and the beautiful land where she had met big kitty. Unfortunately, the child didn't have a choice in the matter between those options, but she did have the option to at least leave this horrible warehouse. She asked around to see if big kitty was there one more time before she stood up off of the floor and shuffled across the floor with her bunny slipper until she was able to breathe in the fresh air that was outside. It wasn't as same as Elysion, but it was certainly better than inside of the damp warehouse.
The small senshi didn't seem like she was in a hurry to get home, her feet were dragging on the ground, bunny ears flopping back and forth with each step and a bunny plush hanging loosely in her hands. Her hair was hanging backwards, moving back and forth as her face tilted upwards and looked up at the sky. Her throat was clearly exposed, but the red mark from the hand squeezing around her throat was no longer there. It had faded and the bruise, if it appeared, would probably only end up under the surface. Her thoughts appeared to be so deep that she even crossed a street without even realizing it, thinking about everything she had seen throughout the evening. She was rather confused about a lot of it. She didn't know why had everyone been fighting or why she had suddenly went from the warehouse to the starry heaven to the beautiful place of mystery and then all the way back to the warehouse without so much as taking a step. Why had someone tried to hurt big kitty and little kitty riding on big kitty? Who were all of those people who were fighting to begin with? Just who was the teal haired woman who had confronted her in a way that took her breath away? Would they meet again? The child found herself rubbing her hand lightly over her throat as she had these thoughts. She hoped it was over, she really didn't want to see anyone get hurt again.
By the time the child stopped looking up at the sky, lost in thoughts, she had realized she was not only home but she was still in the form of a senshi. She couldn't exactly go home like this! The child had never thought too much before about Bell finding out, but if she knew her little sister was not only out all night but had been in the middle of a fight then she probably wouldn't take it all that well. She definitely had to power down and after she looked around in all directions, she quietly scurried around the corner of the house between her own and another, and powered down.
From Sailor Chibi Hypnos to Ainsley McMahon, Ainsley was glad to be home. Home sweet home with a yawn.
She hoped Cora had gotten home safe and was waiting upstairs for her. She wanted to flop into bed, and snuggle into her until they both fell asleep. It would be the perfect end to this mysterious night. Slowly she managed to drag herself back upstairs and found her way back into the house. She tried to do this as quietly as she possibly could, trying not to wake up her older sister Bell who she assumed was sleeping in her room beside her own. The child didn't look into the room though, and if she had she would have been surprised to realize her sister wasn't even home.
She slowly pushed the door of her room opened, trying not to let it squeak, before she slipped inside. Octavian Oswald in tow, the child climbed back up into her bed and expectantly laid down on the bed beside where she assumed Cora would be. She yawned some more and before she even had a chance to check to see if Cora had been there, she passed out immediately. It had been a long night.

Sailor Chibi Hypnos was crying so hard that she could barely hear the apologetic words that Cora told her as she apologized to her over and over. All the child could hear was her own sobs, the sorrow that flew down her cheeks and dropped over her lap. Her thoughts could only think of one thing: the sadness that filled her over watching Mister Birdy disappear into nothing but a pile of feathers in her arms. She could only wonder why they did this. What did Mister Birdy ever do to them? If she had only come a little bit sooner... her arms clung tighter to the feathers, her sobs becoming more and more desperate. Her friend! Her friends, why did they always disappear? Why could she never stop it? She wished, and willed her small bird friend to come back. There were so many worries for the small child that she did not even notice the change in aura that Quail's Realm was facing and soon she was expelled from the realm.
There were so many tears that even when the child woke up after being expelled from Quail's Realm that her pillow was drenched, her face soaked. Any adult would have assumed the child had been having night terrors, nightmares -- which wasn't far from the truth. She didn't want to open her eyes, the tears sliding down her cheeks and onto her pillow. She didn't want to leave Mister Birdy behind! He still needed her! She couldn't let it end like that, she couldn't fail him like that. It took a few minutes, but the child soon realized there was something different. She wasn't on the ground anymore, she was in her bed. She couldn't believe it was just a nightmare though, it was too real. She didn't want to believe her friend wasn't real, and finally after she opened her eyes and seen the pink eyes of Cora staring back at her with such sadness she knew it hadn't been. Cora had been there. She didn't see her but she had heard her.
As Cora nudged her way closer to the small child, Ainsley didn't move. After a moment though she slowly opened her eyes though, her icy blue ones meeting the bright pink ones of Cora. She just stared at Cora with sad and tear-filled eyes. She couldn't manage to get words out, no, it was too difficult to get anything out that was more than a mixed up grumbled of sobs and sounds. Instead she just continued to stare at the cat while she nudged even closer, her mind filled with the same thoughts: Why had they done that to Mister Birdy? What had he ever done to deserve that... She couldn't stop thinking about it, which only made her sob more. All the pain that he had suffered though, all the cries and realization that they weren't going to stop until they got what they wanted. They got what they wanted, but the price had been high. Ainsley just didn't understand but she knew her friend had disappeared, turned into nothing but feathers in the wind. She wanted to believe he was okay, he said everyone would be okay. No one would die. He said so! Why did that happen to him!
"Mister Birdy..." she whimpered, her hands uncurling from the clenched position they had been in earlier and when they did something slipped out from between her two hands. She felt it, it tickled. What was that? The child was distracted for a moment, and her hands began to pat down the bed for the fallen item. Where did it go? Had she been imagining things? It had felt like a feather. She had to be imagining things right? It felt like one of Mister Birdy's feathers. It couldn't be right? She had to make sure. If there was a feather here then maybe Mister Birdy was okay, somewhere! Hope in her face again, she found the feather and lightly grasped it in her hands. She wasn't imagining it!
"Mister Birdy... you're... you're okay somewhere. Right? This is a sign, right?" She whispered to it.
The child smiled a little as hope began to fill back into her. It wasn't all hopeless. Mister Birdy had given her a sign to tell her that he was okay, that it was just like he had said: everyone would be okay. It had kept his word! Smiling for a moment as she thought, she decided. She'd make a necklace out of the feather right away in the morning and wear it so Mister Birdy would be able to find her.
"If you can hear me Mister Birdy... I'll take care of it. I promise. So please, please be okay. I'll find you, I promise!"
She had been talking to a feather, which wasn't entirely unusual for Ainsley. She hoped Mister Birdy could hear her through it. It certainly wasn't unusual logic for the child.
"Everything's okay," she said softly to Cora.
Promises and hope, the child gave a couple more sniffles as she tucked the feather safely away and wrapped her arms around Cora. Everything would be okay and with that the child could dream again: while asleep and awake.

It was Valentine's Day and shortly after dinner when Ainsley started digging around in her backpack with panic. She couldn't find it! Where was it? She had worked so hard in class making it and now she couldn't find it? She was positive she had placed it in her backpack before she left school. Her face had a rather calm expression on it, but her eyes were looking sadly at her backpack. It wasn't there. She must have left it at school. The child made a rather exasperated sound as she sat down next to her backpack and started putting her shoes onto her feet. Snap. Snap. She buckled her shoes in place and stood up. She grabbed herself a jacket from the hook and then grabbed her bag and swung it over her back after she had put her jacket on.
She would go to school and find it!
Quietly, the child opened the front door and slipped outside. It wasn't too cold yet, but the child could still see her breath on the air when she breathed out into it. Thankfully, the air wasn't too cold that it made her nose feel strange when she breathed in. She looked left and then right and then began walking back towards her school. She just had to find it.
It took her shorter than usual to walk to school because the child had been walking faster than usual, as if her little life depended on her getting to school and finding the thing she had been missing. The thought of it put a little smile on her pale face but upon making it to the gates of the school the child's expression fell. No. The gates were locked. Why? Did they always lock at this hour? Wasn't there usually someone around? She looked frantically but she couldn't find anyone.
"No..." she said out loud as she leaned against the gates of the school, dropping her bag onto the ground. She looked at the ground with a look of disappointment, staring at the bag she had dropped. There. Peeking out of the front pocket of her bag! She had packed it into her bag after all! Quickly the disappointment fled the child's face as she retrieved her bag from the sidewalk. Now all she had to do was find... him. Senri. Her face brightened a little as she thought about it. She wasn't sure if she would be able to give to him face to face. No. She couldn't give up! She would deliver her gift to him.
With confidence and her mind set, the child rushed off to find the older boy. Along the way the child was doubting if she could do it, and then trying to cheer herself on. She could do it! What if he didn't like it and gave it back to her? No! Senri wouldn't do that, he was so nice to her! He had played the piano for her, saved her from the accidents that occurred in December, and even left her with his jacket so she would keep warm. There was no way he would give it back, right? The child smiled thinking about the blue-haired, blue-eyed boy's kindness.
With such thoughts in mind, it was no surprise Ainsley had practically walked right by Senri's place. It took her several minutes to realize this and then several minutes to walk all the way back. After she had gotten back, she paced back and forth. What if Senri sent her away before she had a chance to give him his gift? She worried but before she knew it she was at Senri's door, knocking her little fists against it. She waited, and waited but there was no answer.
"Is he not home?" She wondered out loud to herself. Perhaps he just did he not hear the door. She knocked again, trying not to bend the item that was in her hands. There was no answer at his door though and the child just stood there waiting. Perhaps he hadn't come home, or maybe he was out for dinner? Although she was worried, she had really wanted to give it to him in person -- but the child did not know when, if at all, he would come home. She had to get home and go to bed... she had to.
Her goals pushing her own, Ainsley slowly moved to the mailbox. It had seemed like forever had passed as she just stared at it and then after a moment she slipped something inside of it. She continued to look at the mailbox, making sure her gift wasn't suddenly going to spit back out. It didn't spit back out and the child smiled as she waited for just another moment with a small blush on her face before she hurried away from his door, rushing back home.
Back at Senri's place there was something sitting, and waiting. It was waiting for Senri, it was a small piece of paper:
