This week's topic is theater. Marc Chagall I adore the theater and I am a painter. I think the two are made for a marriage of love. I will give all my soul to prove this once more. Rules 1. Post only your own work here. Do not post work done by other artists. Photos will only be accepted if they are artistic photos taken by the person posting them. No snapshots or bathroom mirror portraits!
2. Do not steal work that is posted here.
3. Do not critique work that is posted here. If the artist wants critique, he/she can make another thread asking for it.If you do not finish your entry before the week is up, you may still enter it! As long as this thread is on the first page of the guild, feel free to post in it past the deadline. If it falls off the first page after the deadline, simply post your entry in the new challenge thread with a note of which challenge it belongs with and I'll add it to the correct thread.

This is the front of the set - there are three doors, all of which open, but only the center doors show anything deeper. The center is a crypt, and the teal platform (and golden stairs) are heaven, to which our hero ascends once he learns the error of his godless ways. XD (Medieval plays are very predictable...)
This is an overhead, sort of view so you can see the workings behind the front piece. There's actually a gold (though it doesn't show it as such) railing around the edge of Heaven so God and the Angel don't fall off... And there's a curtain that mimics the stone of the crypt over the entrance to the Heavenly Stairs. XD

Mmm, this really doesn't fit "theater" very much, unless you would call it something trying to be something it's not. Maybe it would fit "impossibility"? Anyway, I just drew it. Szen, maybe you can figure out where to stick it!

Aw man, I really wish I could paint now. I just got a brilliant image in my head of a sweet painting of Rik Mayall, based on his Theater stand up bit.
