This week's topic is aquatic. The Suites Weekly Art Challenge is a weekly creative outlet for artists of all skill levels. A topic is posted every Wednesday night and artists have an entire week to interpret that topic in whatever way they like. The Suites Weekly Art Challenge is meant to challenge participants creatively. There is no pressure. There is no one judging the outcome. It's just a chance to practice and experiment and have fun with art.
Topics will be chosen from your suggestions. Please feel free to post your suggestions for future topics! Keep in mind that a topic should be very general so that people can interpret it in many creative ways. No avi art or specific things please. x3
Rules
1. Post only your own work here. Do not post work done by other artists.
2. Do not steal work that is posted here.
3. Do not critique work that is posted here. If the artist wants critique, he/she can make another thread asking for it.

xd im slow! my brain saw the word and font color then translated that to mean that entries were in aqua . . .
but i think the theme should be comfy birthday related . . .that could be nifty . . . it'd be a little late for her actual say but its the thought that counts, right?

XD I tried to make it stand out but I think I made it so different that it looks like a post style or something. D: I thought about that but I really don't want this to be about avi art because I want it to be different than what people would normally do. Of course they are welcome to do avi art if it fits the topic. :3 I think we might be having a separate thread for your idea though. ninja

Aquatic is kinda....vauge isn't it? I mean, I know it has to do with the water. That's a given..but...anything that has to do with water? xD It could be someone drinking a water bottle? xDD

That's a given..but...anything that has to do with water? xD It could be someone drinking a water bottle? xDD Yes. They are intentionally vague so that you can be creative and have the widest range of interpretation in your art. :3 This week's topic for Illustration Friday is "soar". XD

o: heart But, but... I have to finish this other art first! DANG IT! This is a great topic! ... Maybe I'll just...  "Legends Meet"The Great Pink Sea Squirrel comes face to face with the ocean's largest mammal - the great Blue Whale. The reluctantly omnivoric titan and singing terrorizer of krill gaze into one another's eyes and an understanding passes between them in this, their home, surrounded by the juxtaposition of light and dark and all the infinitesimal signs of life. I'm hoping to color this, but here's the finished line art. Medium: Pencil on medium-weight drawing pad, scanned and touched up in Paint. The Great Pink Sea Squirrel
